Brand New Life Online: Rise Of The Goddess Of Harvest
Chapter 1976: The Clean Up Has Begun-----
The first wave came fast.
Dozens of Shadow Lurkers—twisted, spider-like creatures forged from solidified darkness and subway debris—burst from the walls. Their glowing red eyes locked onto her. They radiated both Nether energy and the power of Living Ink, existing as unique lifeforms that embodied both.
"Hello there."
Elayne didn’t even draw a weapon. She simply breathed in, and the new Heavenly Celestial Sun Divinity within her stirred to life.
"You’re shadow-type, right? This should take care of it."
FLASH!
Golden sunlight exploded outward in a gentle yet overwhelming pulse, striking the shadowy creatures instantly. Before they could reach her with their razor-sharp claws, the creatures shrieked and dissolved, their bodies evaporating into sparkling particles.
Erebus Junior whistled. "I-Incredible! Master is truly the strongest!"
"It feels... warm," Elayne said, clenching her fist. "Like the sun itself is flowing through my veins. But I can’t rely on raw power alone. Let’s go deeper."
They descended further. The deeper they went, the more the dungeon warped reality. Train cars fused with flesh and stone, platforms turned into fleshy swamps, and grotesque Abyssal Dwellers—tall, emaciated humanoids with elongated limbs and mouths full of train rails for teeth—ambushed them.
This time, Elayne tested something new.
She raised her hand and activated [Consort of the Heavenly Sun – Tier 3]. A radiant halo resembling a miniature sun appeared behind her head. Beams of concentrated sunlight shot forth like arrows, piercing through three Dwellers at once and igniting them in golden flames that purified rather than simply destroyed.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
"Huh. Well, that was easy."
Elayne had already faced several formidable foes before, so she found herself surprised each time these monsters fell so quickly. They might have been considered B-Rank in danger, but to her they were little more than small fry.
However.
RUMBLE.
Suddenly, heavy footsteps thundered toward her with increasing speed. Her eyes widened as a massive figure charged into view.
"ROOOOOAARR!"
It was a gigantic Rail Lord; far stronger than the lesser creatures she had fought. The monster roared and lunged, swinging an arm forged from twisted rebar and concrete. Its demonic, slightly humanoid body pulsed with corrupted flesh, Nether oozing from its massive concrete limbs and armor.
CRAAASH!
Elayne sidestepped gracefully and touched the ground. Her aura surged, spreading through the floor toward her enemy.
"Bloom."
From the corrupted floor, golden trees erupted violently. Their branches impaled the monster while beautiful white flowers bloomed along the wood. The Rail Lord screamed as purifying sunlight coursed through the trees and burned the corruption from its body. Within seconds, it crumbled into harmless ash and concrete.
"Phew!" Elayne exhaled, a satisfied smile spreading across her face. "The Soul Sapling inside me is reacting beautifully with the new divinity. It’s like my creation powers have been supercharged with solar energy. Everything grows faster, stronger, and purer. I’ve noticed that my Nature Magic is even stronger now, complemented by the Sunlight Divinity—just as plants thrive through photosynthesis, the same principle seems to empower my magic."
Erebus Junior absorbed some of the lingering shadow essence. "That was amazing, Master... Chomp, chomp... Hmm, this darkness isn’t so bad." Elayne let him feed for now; she didn’t mind.
"Alright then, let’s continue. We’re almost there," Elayne said, her eyes sharp with focus.
Elayne and Erebus Junior pressed deeper into the Subway Dungeon. Further in, they discovered a chamber radiating an overwhelming quantity of miasma and dark energy. She could tell this corruption wasn’t natural—someone had tampered with it.
Inside the room stood what appeared to be the dungeon’s core: a massive, pulsating black crystal embedded in the old subway tracks, corrupting the ley line beneath the city. Guardians shaped like derailed bullet trains fused with demonic flesh protected it, their heavy steps making the ground tremble as they patrolled.
"This was definitely not formed naturally. Someone interfered—either Caster or someone else. Maybe an undead general is using this to drain power? Or perhaps even the Chaos Gate? No, it couldn’t be them. They wouldn’t let the Amaterasu Clan get this close if that were the case..." Elayne thought for a moment. "Well, no time to waste."
Elayne stopped holding back. She unleashed her aura and infused her power into her second dream weapon to test its limits. She summoned [Elayne’s True Soul Sapling – Tier 2].
"Come!"
FLASH!
A beautiful crystalline sapling appeared floating beside her, its leaves shimmering with records of her original self. Golden roots extended from it, wrapping around her arms like living gauntlets. She was eager to discover what it could do now that it had become a Dream Weapon.
The crystal, which once seemed so delicate, had grown incredibly tough—nearly as hard as diamond after its evolution. She could now shapeshift its branches at will, forming these powerful gauntlets.
"Let’s go!"
With a bright cry, Elayne charged forward, rushing into the chamber and catching the monsters off guard. The Rail Lords roared in response, but the first one within reach suffered her full fury. A giant fist smashed it into the floor with devastating force.
CRAAASH!
"Graaarrrr?!"
The creature let out an agonizing scream as Elayne’s assault continued. That single punch summoned giant, glowing golden wooden branches and roots that erupted from the impact, piercing the monster’s entire frame and tearing it to shreds.
The other four charged at once. Elayne dodged their massive boulder attacks—mostly to sharpen her reflexes, not because they posed any real threat—and struck one in the leg, toppling it before delivering a powerful kick to its head. The blow shattered its skull and sent roots and branches spreading inside.
When the final three attacked simultaneously with no room to evade, Elayne unleashed a technique she instinctively understood through Amaterasu’s blessing fused with her natural abilities.
"Sunlit World Tree Judgment!"
She thrust her fists forward with all her strength, releasing a shockwave of purifying energy. A gigantic illusory tree of pure sunlight and life energy erupted behind her, its branches spreading across the entire chamber. Every leaf became a blade of light. The tree’s roots pierced the corrupted crystal, purifying it in seconds, while its branches shredded the remaining train monsters into golden dust.
BOOOMMM!!!
The entire dungeon shook. Black veins withered and transformed into beautiful glowing golden vines as the corruption was washed away, replaced by vibrant vegetation. The new growth might still cause trouble for people down here, so cleanup would be needed later.

Elayne let out a long breath as the dungeon began to collapse in on itself harmlessly, restoring the subway station to normalcy—minus the monsters. She stored the rewards in her inner spirit realm and stretched.
"Two more spots like this tonight if I push it," she said. "Think I can handle it, Junior?"
The shadow nodded. "With your current power? Easily. But you should still be careful, Master. Power attracts attention—especially divine attention."
Elayne looked up toward the surface, where the first hints of dawn would soon break.
"I know. But if I’m going to help this world... and eventually find a way back home to Mark and the others... I can’t slow down."
Elayne stepped forward into her next mission, her eyes gleaming with fierce determination.
She would reclaim her old life—no matter what.

And this is the final Chapter of this arc.
It sure had a lot of crazy and surprising things, didn’t it?
Now, we’ll return to the Netherworld with Undead Elayne as she overcomes various challenges and finds her friends.
Next volume will be mostly about her, then we’ll return to Heroic Spirit Elayne once I feel like I’ve done enough.
We will alternate like this between the two until the stories combine and the next saga begins.
