Chapter 240: Chapter 240: Battle Of Gods

The dry vacuum at the bottom of the Sea of Screaming Mercury was utterly silent. The sheer atmospheric pressure of the standoff completely erased the concept of sound.

On one side stood the newly crowned God of Hell. Neo floated with his bottomless dark matter eyes fixed forward, holding a massive blade that pulsed with the light of creation and the void of absolute destruction.

Behind him, the ten elite generals of the Zenith Empire formed a flawless defensive perimeter, their plasma weapons humming with maximum output.

Flanking Neo were the two colossal Twin Ancestors, Godking Eragon and Godking Drogon, their massive draconic bodies radiating enough raw power to casually shatter a solar system.

On the other side hovered the three Wardens of Eternity. They were Prime Deities sent directly from the Pantheon Hall. Their armor burned with the light of condensed supernovas.

To understand the magnitude of the battle that was about to unfold, one had to understand the fundamental difference between mortal magic and Divine Power.

Mortal magic was a negotiation with the universe. A mortal mage gathered mana, shaped it into a spell, and asked the universe to produce a result like fire, water, or gravity. Even the most powerful mortal spells were still bound by the physical limits of reality.

Divine Power was not a negotiation. It was a cosmic dictatorship.

When a Prime Deity fought, they did not manipulate existing energy. They used Authority to directly rewrite the foundational laws of reality. The blinding halos spinning behind the heads of the three Wardens were not simply decorative symbols of holy status.

Those halos were localized reality engines. Wherever a Warden stood, the universe was forcefully overwritten to obey their exact desires.

The lead Warden stepped forward. His name was Aethel, the Warden of Absolute Stasis.

He held a massive war hammer forged from the dying core of an ancient galaxy. The hammer did not just weigh a lot in physical terms. It carried Conceptual Mass. Every single planet that had died in that galaxy, every single star that had burned out, and every single soul that had perished in its collapse was compressed into the head of that weapon. A single swing contained the narrative weight of a billion dead worlds.

"The Pantheon decrees your existence an error," Aethel spoke, his voice vibrating through the bedrock of Hell. "We do not fight you, outcast. We simply correct the mistake of your birth."

Aethel activated his divine halo.

He did not cast a spell. He simply stated a new law of physics for the cavern.

"Absolute Law," Aethel commanded. "Kinetic energy is zero."

Instantly, the ten elite generals behind Neo froze completely. The plasma in their rifles stopped swirling. Their mechanical thrusters died. Even the blood pumping through their veins ground to a terrifying halt. General Kordel strained with every ounce of his immense mortal strength, but it was completely useless. He was not fighting a physical force. The concept of movement had just been deleted from their localized space.

But Neo did not freeze.

Neo possessed five hundred million points of Cosmic Force and five hundred million points of Nether Force. He possessed the Infinite Void-Shield Body at the S+ rank. And most importantly, he was the master of this dimension.

"My house," Neo whispered with pure arrogance. "My rules."

Neo tapped into his Dominator Core. His eyes flared with deep purple light. He used his Supreme Talent, Universal Synthesis, to grab hold of the invasive conceptual law that Aethel had just projected. Neo absorbed the concept of ’Stasis’, processed it through his chaotic nervous system, and forcefully inverted it.

"Overruled," Neo stated coldly. "Kinetic energy is infinite."

BUZZZZZ!

The bedrock of the Second Stratum violently shattered.

The spatial freeze placed upon the ten generals shattered like brittle glass, throwing them backward into the hull of the Zenith dreadnought.

Hummmm!

The localized laws of physics screamed in agony as the divine authority of the God Realm clashed directly with the absolute authority of the God of Hell.

Aethel realized his conceptual lock had failed. The faceless Prime Deity did not hesitate. He swung his galactic war hammer directly at Neo.

"Die!!"

The hammer moved faster than light. It left a trail of fractured space in its wake, bringing the concentrated weight of a dead galaxy right toward Neo’s skull.

Neo swung the Sunfire Judgment Blade upward to meet it.

Neo possessed a physical strength stat of one million and nine hundred thousand points. When his blade collided with the divine hammer, the resulting shockwave did not just shake the cavern. It rippled through the entire metaphysical structure of Hell.

BOOOOOOOOOOOM!

The impact generated a flash of light so intense that it turned the black bedrock into transparent glass for hundreds of miles. Above them, the suspended Sea of Screaming Mercury boiled and instantly vaporized into completely harmless steam.

Neo felt the bones in his arms groan under the impossible weight of the dead galaxy. The hammer was trying to enforce the concept of ’Crush’ onto his physical form.

But Neo’s Infinite Void-Shield Body devoured the kinetic transfer, shunting the apocalyptic damage directly into the endless void of the Abyssal Trench.

"You are strong for a biological error. But you are only one entity. We are the Pantheon." Aethel stated, pressing the hammer down with the force of a thousand black holes.

RUMBLE!

The other two Wardens moved with blinding speed.

To Neo’s left, Kaizer, the Warden of Eradication, lunged forward with a spear made of solidified holy fire. Kaizer’s halo spun violently, rewriting the space around the spear to ensure that the concept of ’Missing’ was impossible. The spear was mathematically guaranteed to pierce Neo’s heart.

To Neo’s right, Seraph, the Warden of Boundless Light, raised a massive broadsword. Seraph’s halo projected a domain of absolute pacification, attempting to forcefully delete the concept of ’Hostility’ from Neo’s mind.

Before either weapon could connect, the Twin Ancestors finally unleashed the fury they had been suppressing for millions of years.

"You dare ignore the true Kings of this realm?" Godking Drogon roared.

Drogon snapped his colossal jaws directly onto Kaizer’s incoming spear. The Warden of Eradication possessed absolute holy fire, but Drogon possessed absolute entropy. The obsidian scales of the terrifying dragon flared with dark crimson light.

Drogon did not just bite the physical weapon. He bit the conceptual law that governed it.

The mathematically guaranteed strike failed instantly. Drogon’s teeth shattered the concept of ’Certainty’ into a million pieces. The absolute holy fire of the spear rapidly rotted, turning into decaying black ash in the dragon’s mouth.

Kaizer stumbled backward, his faceless visor tilting in genuine shock as the primal beast devoured his divine weapon.

Simultaneously, Godking Eragon intercepted Seraph.

The Warden of Boundless Light was trying to delete Neo’s hostility. Eragon, the master of absolute creation, countered with a display of unimaginable power. The massive silver dragon did not use violence. He used overwhelming genesis.

Eragon opened his maw and exhaled a beam of pristine starlight directly into Seraph’s chest.

The starlight bypassed the Warden’s supernova armor completely. Eragon actively created a miniature, hyper-dense star directly inside the Prime Deity’s chest cavity.

The sudden introduction of a completely new gravitational singularity inside the Warden’s body violently disrupted his halo.

"%&#&@&%@&#+*-(@(@@"

Seraph let out a soundless scream of pure divine agony. The concept of pacification immediately shattered as the Warden desperately focused all of his authority inward, trying to suppress the newborn star that was threatening to tear him apart from the inside out.

With both flanking Wardens neutralized by the Twin Ancestors, Neo focused his entire attention on Aethel.

The galactic war hammer was still pressed against the Sunfire Judgment Blade. Neo’s eyes narrowed into terrifying slits of dark matter.

"My turn," Neo whispered.

Neo channeled his five hundred million points of Nether Force directly into his left hand. He let go of his sword with that hand, trusting his immense physical strength to hold the Warden’s hammer at bay with only his right arm.

Neo lunged forward, closing the microscopic distance between him and Aethel. He drove his open left palm directly into the center of the Warden’s supernova breastplate.

"Abyssal Devour!" Neo commanded.

"BUZZZZZZZZ!"

The S rank skill was magnified a trillion times by his Type 0 God rank. A swirling black vortex of pure hunger erupted from Neo’s palm. The vortex latched onto the divine armor.

Aethel’s halo spun frantically, trying to declare the concept of ’Invulnerability’. But Neo’s Abyssal Devour did not care about invulnerability. It did not deal damage. It simply consumed. It ate the light. It ate the heat. It ate the very concept of the armor itself.

The blinding supernova chest plate began to rapidly drain, turning into dull, lifeless gray metal. Neo was actively draining the Prime Deity’s eternal lifespan and converting it into raw Universal Credits and cosmic energy for his own system.

"Get away from me!" Aethel roared, finally showing a trace of genuine fear.

The Warden unleashed a point blank blast of divine repulsion, throwing Neo backward a few thousand feet. Neo caught himself perfectly in the vacuum, his boots skidding gracefully across the smooth glass bedrock.

Aethel looked down at his chest. His flawless armor was severely cracked, the divine light completely drained from the center. Kaizer was missing his primary weapon, his hands burned by the entropy of Drogon. Seraph was glowing violently from the inside, desperately trying to contain the star Eragon had planted in his core.

The three Prime Deities regrouped, hovering together in the center of the massive cavern. They realized they had severely miscalculated. They were not fighting a mortal who had simply stolen a dimension. They were fighting an entity that fully understood how to devour their absolute laws.

"They possess primal concepts. The anomaly is synthesizing our authority. We cannot hold back. Discard the physical limiters. Unlock the True Forms."

The ten elite generals on the dreadnought bridge gripped their weapons tighter. Chief Engineer Vektor stared at his scanning consoles in sheer horror as the energy readings in the cavern suddenly multiplied by a factor of ten thousand.

The halos behind the three Wardens began to physically melt. The divine limiters placed upon them to prevent their sheer presence from destroying universes were being forcefully removed.

The God of Hell raised his Sunfire Judgment Blade, the dark matter in his eyes spinning with absolute thrill.

The true battle was only just beginning.
