Chapter 118: For Niannian, I Must Win

Chapter 118: Chapter 118: For Niannian, I Must Win

In a flash, Qin Tianxuan scooped up Niannian. He’d dodged the water gun, but his expression instantly turned terrifyingly dark.

Han Biwei hurried over and grabbed his arm. "It’s fine. He’s just a kid who doesn’t know any better. Let it go."

The burly man and his wife stormed over, their eyes practically popping out of their sockets. "What the fuck did you say? Calling our precious son ’a kid who doesn’t know any better’? Shit! I think your daughter’s the one who’s being nosy! You think you own this place? And now you’re trying to lecture us?!"

The burly man rolled up his sleeves, his face a ferocious mask.

The woman by his side was even more sharp-tongued. Shielding the little fatty, she unleashed a shrill, rapid-fire tirade as if her mouth were a machine gun.

The onlookers all frowned, looking at Han Biwei and her family with sympathy.

This family was just unlucky to have run into such unreasonable people.

’If it were us, we would’ve stayed far, far away from a family of weirdos like that.’

Han Biwei felt a wave of frustration. She had wanted to give Brother Tianxuan and Niannian a perfect afternoon, but instead, they had run into these nutjobs.

Not wanting to cause trouble, she said in a low voice, "I’m sorry, we’re not going to play this game anymore."

The burly man’s family roared with laughter. "Scared now, are you? A family like yours would be guaranteed to lose even if you played!"

Feeling wronged, Han Biwei turned and tugged on Qin Tianxuan’s sleeve. "Let’s go play somewhere else."

Qin Tianxuan picked up Niannian.

Niannian looked pitiful. "Little Mama, I’m sorry. Did I do something wrong?"

Han Biwei’s heart clenched. She waved her hands in distress. "Niannian, sweetie, you did nothing wrong. That family is the one at fault."

Qin Tianxuan said proudly, "Our Niannian did the exact right thing. You are the best and most well-behaved child there is."

They turned to leave, but suddenly, a jet of water shot out, striking Niannian right in her small face.

Niannian cried out, her face dripping with cold water.

Qin Tianxuan spun around.

Across from them, the disgusting little fatty was holding a high-pressure water gun. He squinted, stuck out his tongue, and made a taunting gesture.

It was true what they say: the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

Who knew how his parents had raised him? He was probably used to bullying other children.

Qin Tianxuan silently wiped the water from his daughter’s face and handed her to Han Biwei.

Then, he turned and walked forward.

The burly man was waiting for him to start something. He puffed out his chest to block the way. "What’s up? You want to go? Do you even know what I do?"

Qin Tianxuan said calmly, "I know. You’re a professional Sanda fighter."

The burly man dropped into a stance and threw a jab that whistled through the air.

"As long as you know. I can kill a bull with one punch. Believe it?"

Qin Tianxuan rolled his wrists. "I do. But fighting in front of the children is a bad look. Aren’t there all kinds of games here? Why don’t we try those?"

Oh-ho.

’So you’re challenging me now?’

The burly man sneered. "No family, no kids. Just the two of us, you and me. What do you say? Goddammit, you dare?!"

"You should brush your teeth. Your mouth is full of shit!" Qin Tianxuan said coldly as he walked onto the game field.

The crowd gathered around curiously, having a good idea of what was going on.

But no one thought Qin Tianxuan had a chance.

’The guy is handsome and all, but the big fella is supposedly a Sanda champion, a professional athlete. There’s no way he can compete.’

At that moment, the person in charge of the game area also grew excited.

’This is a great opportunity,’ he thought. ’It’ll attract all the nearby parents and kids. Free advertising!’

The person in charge gave the order, and all the small games in the area were set up.

"Since you two gentlemen are so interested, let’s raise the stakes! We’re upgrading the prizes! The winner gets not only a three-person pedal car but also a grand prize of five thousand in cash!"

The manager was really sparing no expense, as the crowd of onlookers was growing denser by the second. This was a guaranteed win for his business.

The burly man’s eyes lit up. "Shit! Five thousand! Guess I’ll have to get serious now."

He began warming up on the spot, throwing punches and high kicks.

The flashy but pointless moves drew a fresh round of shrieks from his wife and the little fatty.

Qin Tianxuan just stood there quietly, the picture of calm.

He simply gestured to Han Biwei on the sidelines. "For Niannian, I’m guaranteed to win!"

The parent-child interactive game area was cleared.

On the wide field, there were three small games.

The first was a common obstacle course: the ground was covered in tires, and you were only allowed to jump from one to the next, not run.

The burly man had already tossed off his jacket and was rolling his neck, which made a strange CRACKING sound.

"Kid, you’re finished. When I trained for boxing, we did these exact kinds of obstacle drills. You think you can compete with a pro?"

Qin Tianxuan remained silent, feet planted, his eyes bright.

The burly man spat on the ground, got into a crouch, and then, without waiting for the manager to blow the whistle, he leaped forward.

He was surprisingly nimble, clearing three tires in a row without even breathing hard or his face flushing.

Meanwhile, Qin Tianxuan was still standing in place, as if he hadn’t even reacted.

As the burly man cleared his fifth tire, the onlookers covered their faces. ’It’s over. The handsome guy is going to lose so badly. Who knew that bastard would cheat?’

Behind them, Niannian’s little face was red with anxiety. "Little Mama, he’s cheating! It’s not fair!"

Han Biwei quickly squeezed her little hand. "Have faith in your papa. He’ll be fine."

By this time, the burly man was almost halfway through the course.

Qin Tianxuan looked at the manager. "Aren’t you going to blow the whistle?"

The manager snapped to his senses and waved his arm awkwardly. "G-Go! Start!"

Qin Tianxuan shot forward, clearing four tires in a continuous, astonishingly fast blur of motion.

The crowd gasped. "What is that speed? If they’d started together, the burly man would’ve lost for sure."

The burly man’s wife jumped in fright, but seeing that her husband’s victory was secure, she couldn’t help but jeer, "What an idiot! He doesn’t even know how to play dirty. Serves him right for losing!"

Qin Tianxuan was already past the halfway point. The burly man, however, was starting to pant like an ox. With only one tire left to clear, his victory seemed certain.

A glint flashed in Qin Tianxuan’s eyes. He leaped again, and as he did, a piece of candy shot out from his palm.

AH!

The burly man was hit in mid-air as he leaped for the final tire. He let out a pained scream and came crashing down with a THUD.
