Chapter 170: Searching for the Divine Doctor

Chapter 170: Chapter 170: Searching for the Divine Doctor

Qin Tianxuan returned to Shenghua Hospital.

The raging fire in his heart vanished the moment he saw his precious daughter, Niannian.

He had once lost everything, but now, he also had everything.

Watching Niannian hunched over the bedside doing her homework, his heart swelled with tenderness.

"Ah, Daddy, you’re back?" Niannian looked up, her face full of worry. "Little Mommy had another episode just now. They had to resuscitate her twice to bring her back. I was so scared."

As she spoke, fresh tears streamed down her face.

Qin Tianxuan was shocked. He scooped up his daughter and went to find Lingsu.

Lingsu hadn’t slept in days, and her eyes were rimmed with dark circles. She looked at him, her face filled with guilt. "Sir, my medical skills are lacking. I thought we had her condition under control, but I never expected her old illness to suddenly worsen. She’s stable for now, but if she has another episode... I’m really not confident I can save her!"

Lingsu looked like she was about to cry, too.

Qin Tianxuan’s mouth went dry. For the first time, he felt fear.

’What will I do if Han Biwei doesn’t make it?’

’How will I face Uncle Han and Aunt Jiang?’

’And how can I possibly console my little girl?’

No!

He would never allow that to happen!

"Lingsu, I need you to hold on for a few more days. You have to stabilize Weiwei’s condition. I’m going to find a Divine Doctor right now!"

Qin Tianxuan thought of the person Ye Xuanxuan had recommended—the Medical God Little Fairy, Gu Yingying.

A Divine Doctor whose skills were said to be on par with Ye Shuanghua’s.

After reassuring Lingsu, Qin Tianxuan helped Niannian with her homework and coaxed her to sleep before finally returning to Weiwei’s hospital room.

The comatose Han Biwei’s face was dark, and her lips were dry and chapped.

Her former, unparalleled grace was gone. It was as if her life was fading away, bit by bit.

Qin Tianxuan gently took her hand, holding it in his palm.

For some reason, he suddenly felt an urge to confide in this girl, to tell her all the troubles weighing on his heart.

In the past, only Ye Shuanghua had ever made him feel this impulse to open up.

"Weiwei, did you know? I once watched my mother vomit blood all over the ground in a downpour. We—my mother and I—ate out of trash cans and collected scraps all the way until we finally found the Chu Family. But that night, I learned something important: you can only protect the people around you if you are strong enough yourself."

Qin Tianxuan took out a pair of jade bracelets he carried with him.

He gently placed the one engraved with his mother’s name, Chu Xinyue, onto Han Biwei’s wrist.

"I hope Mom’s spirit in heaven can watch over you." Qin Tianxuan leaned down and gently kissed Weiwei’s forehead. "I’m sorry. I failed to protect you. But I once swore an oath that after Shuanghua, I would never let another person I love leave me!"

Qin Tianxuan gently rubbed his eyes, wiping away the stinging tears.

"Daddy, it’s Little Mommy’s birthday in a few days! I really want her to wake up soon." Behind him, Niannian appeared, clutching a doll. Dressed in her little pajamas, she looked utterly pitiful. She hadn’t fallen asleep at all.

Qin Tianxuan turned and picked her up again. "Sweetheart, your job right now is to sleep. Daddy will handle everything else. I promise you, when your Little Mommy wakes up, I’ll throw her a huge birthday party!"

"Daddy, this jade bracelet is so pretty. Is it for me?" Niannian, seeming not to want him to be too sad, cleverly changed the subject.

Qin Tianxuan quickly put the smaller bracelet on her. "This was your grandmother’s. Remember, her name was Chu Xinyue."

Niannian was too young to fully understand the story behind it, but she knew that she had to take good care of anything her daddy gave her. Every single one was the most precious gift.

Wearing the jade bracelet, she finally fell soundly asleep in Qin Tianxuan’s arms.

Qin Tianxuan placed his daughter on her small bed, tucked her in, and gazed out at the night. His entire being surged with fighting spirit.

’As long as Weiwei isn’t dead, there has to be a way to cure her!’

He walked out into the vast night and went straight to the Celestial Essence International Hotel.

He stormed into the presidential suite and yanked a soundly sleeping Ye Xuanxuan out from under the covers.

Ye Xuanxuan shrieked, "You big pervert! You keep barging into my room and ripping off my blankets! I’m warning you, don’t let there be a next time!"

Qin Tianxuan splashed his face with cold water, then turned and barked, "Take me to the Medical God Little Fairy right now!"

Ye Xuanxuan, wrapped in a towel, couldn’t stop yawning. "In the middle of the night? Are you crazy?"

Qin Tianxuan walked up to her, his eyes menacing. "Are you going or not?"

Ye Xuanxuan was speechless. "Why are you looking at me like that? Fine, I’ll go. I’m really scared of you."

She blinked and added, "Your wife isn’t doing so well, is she? Is she about to die?"

"Shut up!" Qin Tianxuan was in no mood for this.

Ye Xuanxuan started humming a little tune. "So fierce for someone asking for a favor. Forget it, I’m not going. Go find her yourself. Let’s see if you can even get an audience with that goddess of a doctor."

With a loud CLACK, Qin Tianxuan threw open the floor-to-ceiling window, letting a blast of cold wind pour into the high-rise suite.

Ye Xuanxuan shivered.

"Do you believe I’ll throw you out of here?" Qin Tianxuan’s eyes were deadly serious.

Ye Xuanxuan was terrified.

She had long since witnessed how terrifying this man could be. He really was someone who did what he said he would do.

So, she quickly washed her face, put on makeup, and changed her clothes, all while Qin Tianxuan relentlessly hurried her along.

Finally, Ye Xuanxuan was ready. Radiant and refreshed, she wore a pair of denim hot pants that hugged her taut skin. She gave herself a little shake in front of the mirror before she was satisfied.

Qin Tianxuan glanced at the time and urged again, "Hurry up!"

Just then, there was a knock on the suite’s door, and a man’s voice called out, "Xuanxuan, you’re not asleep, are you? Why did you lie and tell me you weren’t in Jinling? It took me forever to find you!"
