Chapter 32: Yama’s Wrath, Full Mobilization

Chapter 32: Chapter 32: Yama’s Wrath, Full Mobilization

The Long River area, with its six streets and twelve districts, made up the Su City Property Center.

Leveraging e-commerce and the convenient transport links of Su City’s port, the Property Center had quietly become one of the region’s six major economic pillars.

Even the Dongshen Financial Group, which Prince had built, hadn’t yet managed to tap into this region’s network.

Inside the Range Rover, Yandong Mountain took out a small notebook and began flipping through the names inside.

Prince couldn’t help but chuckle. "Old Yan, you still use a notebook to keep records?"

Old Yama chuckled. "Marquis, I’m just a simple, uncultured man. I can’t get the hang of smartphones. Been using this little notebook for decades."

As he spoke, he licked his finger and flipped to page twenty-seven of his little notebook. "Aha, found him. Wang Longhai’s boss is a man named Lin Changhai, a hoodlum from the north."

He put down the notebook and slapped the car window. "Get that son of a bitch Lin Changhai to Warehouse Three. Tell him he’d better be there by the time my car pulls up. I don’t care if he’s screwing some broad or soaking in a hot tub!"

The Range Rover pulled up in front of the massive Warehouse Three. A tall, lanky man in pajamas, his hair still covered in foam, was already standing at attention, waiting.

Old Yama got out of the car, strode over, and kicked the man to the ground.

This was Lin Changhai, a top boss in the Property Center. He’d been dragged out of the shower and didn’t even have shoes on, yet even after being kicked, his face was wreathed in smiles.

The man scrambled on the dirty ground, cupping his hands in a gesture of respect. "Lord Yan, we can talk this out! I must have done something wrong to anger you. It’s my fault, go ahead and hit me, but... you have to at least tell me what’s going on!"

Those in the underworld really know when to bow and scrape.

Prince watched in astonishment. ’I didn’t expect Yandong Mountain’s methods to be so... direct.’

At that moment, Yandong Mountain raised his hand and delivered ten hard slaps across Lin Changhai’s face in quick succession.

Lin Changhai’s face was already swelling, but he remained completely still.

Only then did Yandong Mountain lower his hand and offer him a cigarette.

Lin Changhai wiped the blood from his lips, accepted it respectfully, and took a deep drag.

This time, Old Yama spoke nonchalantly. "You didn’t take that beating for nothing. I have six warehouses and twelve transport fleets in the Property Center. Do a job for me, and if you do it well, I’ll give you three of my biggest warehouses and six of my fleets."

Lin Changhai’s entire demeanor changed. His eyes lit up, and he snapped to attention, his body ramrod straight. "Lord! Just say the word!"

"Within one hour, I want you to round up Wang Longhai and all his lackeys and bring them here to Warehouse Three. Can you do it?"

Lin Changhai leaped to his feet. "Half an hour! If I can’t do it, you can cut my balls off!"

Old Yama kicked him in the ass. "Then get the fuck to it!"

With the cigarette still dangling from his lips, Lin Changhai broke into a trot, his pajamas flapping behind him.

"Fleet Four, Fleet Two, Fleet Seven! All property security, assemble now!" Lin Changhai shouted, suddenly pumped full of adrenaline. "Give every man a ten-thousand-yuan bonus to start! Keep tabs on that punk Wang Longhai. Find his work group chat—all his flunkies will be in there. Make a list. We’re not letting a single one of them slip by!"

It was Wang Longhai’s group chat for Long River Property. All of his followers had their own call signs.

The relatively short list was printed out immediately. Lin Changhai, having thrown on an overcoat, was now shaving in the cab of a large truck. "Surround Long River Property first. I’ll go in and take care of him myself!"

In an instant, three entire transport fleets—one hundred and forty security guards and over seventy large trucks—mobilized with menacing force.

Meanwhile, in the main office of Long River Property, Wang Longhai was in the middle of a meeting, seated in a large leather armchair.

His top enforcers—the so-called "Four Heavenly Kings" and "Thirteen Guardians"—were all present. The six direct subordinates who had made a move with him at the Millennium Hotel were now all managers of some sort at the company. Dressed in suits and ties, they all looked deceptively respectable.

"If we stick with Young Master Li and land this contract with the overseas Battle Department, our Long River Property will surpass Changhai’s crew and become the top company in the Property Center!"

Wang Longhai was full of himself. He took a sip of sobering tea and rubbed his fat belly. "Of course, for appearance’s sake, we still have to show Brother Lin some respect. After all, I got my start under him."

Just as he was speaking, the RUMBLE of engines echoed from outside.

Countless large trucks kicked up clouds of dust, surrounding the Long River Property headquarters until it was completely sealed off.

"What’s going on?" Wang Longhai frowned.

"Boss, it’s... it’s Changhai’s fleets! This doesn’t look good!"

Wang Longhai shuddered. The man he feared most was Boss Lin. That guy was a smiling tiger—a ruthless hoodlum from the north.

’With my current strength, I wouldn’t dare dream of defying him.’

"Quick, get out my best canister of tea! And all of you, stand straight and prepare to welcome Boss Lin!"

But before they were ready, a loud SCREECH echoed from the main entrance. The large iron gate was being cut open with a power saw.

He looked up to see Lin Changhai striding in, wearing an overcoat, one slipper, and with shampoo foam still clinging to his hair. A vicious grin was plastered on his face.

’What... what in the world is he wearing?’

Wang Longhai stared in disbelief.

He scurried over, about to offer a cigarette, but Lin Changhai roared, "Freeze!"

Wang Longhai froze in place.

CRACK! CRACK! CRACK!

Lin Changhai put his full force into it, delivering twenty hard slaps in a row.

The force of the blows sent Wang Longhai spinning in place, his head ringing.

"Brother Lin, wh-why are you hitting me?"

A muscle in Lin Changhai’s cheek twitched. "Lord Yan gave me ten slaps, so I’m giving you twenty. Because you’re nothing but a fucking dog I keep, surviving by licking up my scraps. Huh? You got a problem with that?"

Wang Longhai nearly died of fright. ’From the sound of it,’ he thought, ’I’ve offended Old Yama?’

His legs began to tremble uncontrollably, and his knees felt weak.

"Why the fuck are you shaking? You looking down on me?" Lin Changhai reached over, grabbed a large, purple clay teapot from a nearby table, and with a loud CRASH, smashed it across Wang Longhai’s face.

Blood and ceramic shards flew everywhere.

Wang Longhai shrieked, "Boss, stop! I was wrong!"

Lin Changhai shook the blood from his hand. "Fuck, he’s got a lot of fight in him. Let’s cool him off a bit!"

Lin Changhai’s men snickered and moved in. They opened the office refrigerator, pulled out ice-cold beers, and, one by one, smashed the bottles over Wang Longhai’s head with a series of sickening CRUNCHes.

Their technique was chillingly proficient; they knew exactly how much force to use.

All Wang Longhai could feel was pain. He howled, but through it all, he remained agonizingly conscious.

With a slap of paper hitting the floor, a long list was tossed onto the ground.

Lin Changhai lit a cigarette. "Go down this list. Round them up, one by one, and send them all to Warehouse Three!"
