Celestial Night Emperor

Chapter 61: Falling from the Sky

Chapter 61: Chapter 61: Falling from the Sky

The gang of thugs employed by Young Master Li spent their days eating, drinking, and carousing. Whenever an opportunity arose, they swarmed it like flies to filth.

Led by the skinny one, they twirled iron rods in their hands, closing in with vicious sneers.

The onlookers were terrified. The timid ones scrambled back into their cars, while even the bolder ones turned pale. ’What... what do we do now?’

Han Qian Jun grew even more furious. He raised his arm and bellowed, "Protect our hero!"

A few hot-blooded young men joined Han Qian Jun, forming a protective circle around the injured man from the Northern Domain.

The situation was on a knife’s edge.

The skinny thug across from them roared with laughter. "Just you lot? A bunch of trash? Today, I’m gonna enjoy breaking every last one of you!"

He then turned and ordered, "Block this road for now! Tell all the boys to come out. We’ve got a brawl on our hands!"

Just then, Jiang Wan Jun picked up her husband’s phone from the roadside. Seeing the number on the screen, she ran over, overjoyed. "Don’t be afraid, everyone! My son-in-law will be here any minute!"

Han Qian Jun was ecstatic. "Ha! My son-in-law is coming! You bastards, just you wait! You’re all about to get what you deserve!"

The thugs at the roadblock froze for a second, then burst out laughing, doubling over in hysterics.

"Your son-in-law? Where is he? Is he going to show up with a whole army?"

Han Qian Jun stood up straight. "My son-in-law is all that’s needed!"

Who would believe that?

Even the people behind Han Qian Jun smiled wryly. "Uncle, please stop boasting. Let’s just get out of here. If we have to, let’s just pay them. If a fight starts, we’re no match for them!"

Han Qian Jun shook his head firmly. "We’re not giving them a single cent!"

The skinny thug at the roadblock grew impatient and pointed down the highway. "I’ve blocked both ends. How is your precious son-in-law going to get here? Is he going to fly in from the sky or something?"

Before the words were even out of his mouth, the thundering sound of rotor blades suddenly echoed from the sky.

A fierce wind whipped across the ground, and everyone looked up.

"Wait... Uncle, don’t tell me your son-in-law is actually flying in from the sky?"

Han Qian Jun was stunned too. ’No way. Is that boy Tianxuan really making such a scene?’

But a helicopter was really descending. The powerful downdraft from its rotors kicked up a cloud of dust, the black aircraft impossible to miss against the sky.

The men at the roadblock were dumbfounded.

"Boss, he’s really coming in a helicopter! This... this person is no joke!"

The skinny thug’s expression soured, but he didn’t back down. "Fuck, what’s there to be afraid of? There are tons of us! Besides, who’s more connected than Young Master Li? It’s just one damn helicopter. Young Master Li’s been in plenty of them."

At this thought, his eyes darted. "Set up the roadblocks! Don’t give it any space to land!"

A narrow highway like this was already unsuitable for a helicopter landing. Now, with the roadblocks scattered across it, it was impossible.

The skinny thug laughed wildly again. "Motherfucker! Let’s see you land now!"

In the air, the black combat helicopter drew close and came to a dead hover directly above the highway. Anyone who knew anything about flying gasped at the pilot’s skill.

But what was even more astonishing was the black rope that suddenly dropped from the helicopter!

"From this height? Are they going to fast-rope?" The man from the Northern Domain Battlefield stared with wide eyes. "That helicopter... it looks familiar. Could it be one of ours from the Battle Department?"

Several figures descended rapidly down the black rope!

Their movements were swift and professional.

The first to touch down was none other than Qin Tianxuan.

He was followed by Wang Hou and four Personal Guards.

The helicopter ascended, circling nearby to keep watch!

Qin Tianxuan dusted off his sleeves, scanned the scene, and strode quickly toward Han Qian Jun.

"Uncle Han, are you alright?"

Han Qian Jun was practically over the moon with pride. He grabbed Qin Tianxuan, beaming. "You... you really did come from the sky! Come on, everyone, take a look! This is my son-in-law! This old man’s son-in-law!"

The people around them were still frozen with shock, having forgotten even to say hello.

"Uncle Han, what happened?"

Jiang Wan Jun hurried over and quickly explained the situation.

Qin Tianxuan’s face contorted with rage, and murderous intent flashed in his eyes.

"Uncle Han, Auntie, take everyone and get behind the cars. I’ll handle this!"

Qin Tianxuan nearly ground his teeth to dust. ’A brother from the Battle Department, being bullied like this?’

As the people retreated, they crowded around Han Qian Jun and Jiang Wan Jun, asking just who Qin Tianxuan was.

Meanwhile, Qin Tianxuan turned to the injured man. "Which Battle Department were you with in the Northern Domain?"

The man, however, was staring at the Personal Guard standing behind Wang Hou, his eyes wide with shock, rendered speechless.

The Personal Guard behind Wang Hou took an excited step forward. "Sir, reporting! He’s a scout from the Seventh Squad, Sixth Division of the Celestial Strategy Army! He served under me!"

The man finally snapped back to his senses, his face flushed with excitement. He limped over and snapped a salute. "Sixth Division, Seventh Battalion, Zhang Hongqi, reporting to the Captain!"

The Personal Guard’s eyes grew red as he returned the salute. "You’re injured, at ease. The man before me is General Wang Hou. And the one beside the General"—he paused—"is the man you admire most, the Night Emperor Celestial Profound!"

The man’s body trembled violently, and he nearly collapsed.

Qin Tianxuan surged forward to steady him, gripping the man’s hand tightly.

The man straightened his back and saluted again.

Qin Tianxuan returned the salute, then slowly bowed.

"Ah! Sir, I am unworthy of this honor!" the man cried out in a panic.

Qin Tianxuan’s face was grim, his voice hoarse. "It is I who have failed you, my brother. You have suffered."

Two craters formed in the asphalt beneath his feet—a sign that his rage had reached such a peak that he was losing control of his power.

"Wang Hou! Take our brother to rest. I will handle this myself!"

He turned and began walking, step by step, toward the gang of thugs at the roadblock.

With every step, a deep footprint was sunk into the asphalt!
