Celestial Night Emperor

Chapter 69: Young Master Sun’s Might

Chapter 69: Chapter 69: Young Master Sun’s Might

Sun Shaolong left a harsh threat and scurried off with his men to chase after Chen Fengzhi.

The gifts in the car behind them were quickly unloaded. The words "Battle Domain Supplies" were emblazoned on them!

"Sir, these gifts were exchanged for Battle Domain supplies. I just asked Li Changshan. Over in the Northern Domain, people are conducting secret business deals, and it’s already created a deficit of over ten billion!" Wang Hou said, grinding his teeth.

A muscle twitched on Qin Tianxuan’s face. "I may no longer be the Night Emperor, but I’m still an old soldier of the Battle Domain! If I let this go, how could I ever face my brothers who fought on the battlefield!"

BOOM! With a single punch, he blasted a hole straight through a nearby tree.

Wang Hou was silent. After a long moment, he spoke in a low voice, "In a little while, that Sun Shaolong will definitely show off his gifts. It will look like an astonishing fortune. Should we give him a little something in return?"

A glint flashed in Qin Tianxuan’s eyes as he made a snap decision. "I want those gifts—the ones bought with our supplies—sent back to the Northern Domain! You have free rein! Use as much wealth as you need! I’m giving you full authority!"

Wang Hou gave a sinister grin. "I already have a plan!"

His anger still simmering, Qin Tianxuan returned to the party.

The Chen Family, meanwhile, was basking in the limelight.

The second aunt was watching Young Master Sun with ecstasy, barely sparing a word for her own daughter.

As for Patriarch Chen, he was fawning over Young Master Sun, even having the main table cleared and reset just to invite several Chen Family elders to sit and entertain him.

Sun Shaolong responded to them with barely concealed indifference.

All he wanted was for Chen Fengzhi to fall into his arms. He couldn’t care less about country bumpkins like the Chen Family.

The second aunt grabbed Chen Fengzhi’s hand and whispered, "You have to lock down this Young Master Sun. I just heard the elders say he’s a Junior General. And I heard... I heard he’s from a prestigious family in the Imperial Capital?"

The second aunt’s voice trembled. All she could see was a future of immense wealth and glory!

Just then, Jiang Wan Jun spoke up worriedly from the side, "Isn’t the situation in the north tense? How can he bring so many men back with him? Isn’t he afraid of things going wrong at the front?"

Lost in her joy, the second aunt couldn’t be bothered with such things and simply found Jiang Wan Jun to be nosy.

Patriarch Chen, completely carried away, snapped, "Are you just jealous that my daughter found such a good man? I’ve said it all along—Han Biwei is a disgrace! Having a child out of wedlock and taking up with some random nobody. Don’t you dare compare her to my daughter!"

He was rambling, clearly having had too much to drink.

Han Qian Jun was absolutely furious. He rolled up his sleeves, ready to throw a punch.

"You son of a bitch, Chen! You can insult me, but you will not insult my daughter and my son-in-law!"

The scene erupted into chaos!

Then, with a loud CRASH, Young Master Sun flipped the table.

He rose to his feet, a cold expression on his face, and advanced with his Personal Guards, who were all sneering. "What do you think you’re doing? You dare start trouble in Feng Zhi’s home? You must have a death wish!"

The situation spiraled further out of control.

On one side stood Han Qian Jun and his wife, outnumbered and outmatched.

On the other were the Chen Family and Young Master Sun, their manner aggressive and menacing.

At that moment, Wang Hou appeared, stepping directly between the two groups.

He was even smiling. "Young Master Sun, is it? Why so worked up? I saw you bring in quite a few gifts. You seem pretty rich."

Sun Shaolong rolled his eyes. "Don’t you dare talk to me about money. I could bring you mountains of gold and seas of silver, believe it or not."

In this respect, Young Master Sun was supremely confident.

This was exactly the response Wang Hou was waiting for. He provoked him, "My master is richer than you are. Do you believe that?"

"Bullshit!" Who did Sun Shaolong think he was? A spoiled brat from the Imperial Capital. When had he ever lost a competition over who had more money?

He had none of the dignified air of a general from the Battle Department. He was nothing but a debauched rich kid. "Your master is that guy named Qin, right? Tell him to come out here. Let’s see who’s better!"

Wang Hou shook his head in disdain. "There’s no comparison. You’re not in his league."

Those simple words drove Sun Shaolong into a frenzy. "Let’s cut to the chase. What happens if you lose?"

Wang Hou said nothing.

Qin Tianxuan appeared and calmly sat down. "If I lose, my head is yours."

"Fuck!"

Sun Shaolong stomped his foot. One of his Personal Guards brought over a chair, and he sat down arrogantly. "I’ve had a problem with you from the moment I saw you. And like I said, I’ll make sure you end up dead, or my name isn’t Sun. Let’s do this. Start!"

Wang Hou smirked inwardly.

Qin Tianxuan smiled as well. "Hold on. What happens if *you* lose?"

Sun Shaolong threw his head back and roared with laughter. "Me? Lose to you? Who the hell do you think you are!"

"Enough nonsense. I’m just asking what happens if you lose," Qin Tianxuan said, taking a calm sip from his teacup.

Sun Shaolong ripped open his collar. "Stop flapping your gums. Just say it. What do you want?"

Qin Tianxuan set down his teacup. "If you lose, you’ll hand over all those gifts. Also, every single asset you have. You’ll give it all to me."

Sun Shaolong was impatient. "Done! Let’s sign and put it in writing! Everyone here can be our witness!"

Patriarch Chen and the second aunt were suddenly afraid.

This was supposed to be a simple squabble over pride. Did it really have to come to bloodshed?

Jiang Wan Jun was so nervous she almost fainted. Only Han Qian Jun remained calm. "Tianxuan, take him on! I’m behind you!"

The supposed leading lady of this drama, Captain Chen Fengzhi, was now pale-faced and at a complete loss.

She looked at Qin Tianxuan and began to wonder, ’Does he like me, too? Is he fighting General Sun because of me?’

’No, that can’t be right. Isn’t he my cousin Weiwei’s husband?’

’What am I even thinking?’

Chen Fengzhi wanted to intervene, but both sides had already signed the agreement, and everyone was gathered around, watching with bated breath.

It was too late to stop what was happening.

Sun Shaolong cackled. "Show me what you’ve got first. Let’s see just how impressive you are to dare challenge me."

Qin Tianxuan gave a slight raise of his hand, and Wang Hou stepped out.

A moment later, a basket of gold ingots appeared.

It was just an appetizer, but they were gold ingots, after all. The eyes of every man, woman, and child in the crowd gleamed with golden light.

"They’re real gold ingots!"

Murmurs of admiration rippled through the crowd.

Sun Shaolong, however, burst out laughing. "You bumpkin! I thought you were supposed to be some big shot. Is that all you’ve got?"

He shot to his feet. "Bring up the gold bricks! Build me a wall with them!"
