Coco Edwards arrived at the film crew yesterday afternoon to wait for Jane Sampson first, so Jane flew over today from Capital Province with another assistant.
A two-hour flight, and the time quickly passed while reading the script. Before realizing it, the airplane landed and taxied.
Coco came to pick up, and everyone was low-key, so they left the airport smoothly.
"I negotiated with the film crew director yesterday, and the director will focus your scenes on this week for shooting. However, we signed an agreement that during filming, we can’t share any photos of the styling online. So during this period, we have to be careful when taking selfies or recording videos."
Coco was afraid that if Jane let herself go and accidentally posted an update with new photos on Twitter, it would breach the contract.
"Hmm." Jane understood this common sense; after all, it wasn’t her first day in the industry.
"By the way, President Black secured JSY’s residency rights, and the contract was signed late last night and delivered to JSY’s General Manager." Coco shared the good news with Jane, "If Jillian Carter finds out, her nose would probably be bent out of shape, right?"
"By the way, how is Jillian’s situation?" Yesterday, Jane knew Jillian hadn’t completely escaped danger yet.
"She woke up after the press reception ended yesterday. President Black, Mr. and Mrs. Carter went to the hospital together, and after returning, President Black said Jillian and the Carter Family are completely unrelated now. The Carter Family clarified with Jillian and said Jillian and Joseph Shaw also got divorced yesterday."
Coco felt Jillian was quite miserable; overnight she was left with nothing.
However, thinking of all the grievances Jane suffered, Coco felt Jillian deserved it, it was self-inflicted.
"Hospital staff said Jillian slept all day yesterday, not causing any life-or-death commotion. The caregiver fed her, she ate, but she didn’t say a word. Doctors and nurses walked in and out of the ward, she didn’t glance at them, her mental state was poor, the doctor said she had no will to live." Coco sighed, "Seems like she’s figured it out and stopped fighting, but actually she’s just lying there waiting to die."
The Carter Family wasn’t heartless, but Jillian step by step forced them to grit their teeth and give up on her as a foster daughter.
The Carter Family truly was beyond reproach towards Jillian.
Although Jillian plotted against Jane this time, trying to push her into hell, the Carter Family cut off ties with Jillian but didn’t take back the assets they gifted her.
"If Jillian can figure things out on her own, have a realization, she can take her substantial wealth and go to any country, her assets are enough to ensure a comfortable lifetime." Coco patted Jane’s hand, "The Carter Family raised her, yet she repaid them with endless trouble. The Carter Family still granted her dignity in the end—such righteousness."
Jane didn’t care about money, so she never cared about how much Jillian took from the Carter Family. Thus, when Coco told Jane Jillian still had a lot of money, Jane’s expression didn’t change at all.
If the hospital nurse had not made a mistake in the past, all the assets Jillian now had would belong to Jane alone.
Julie Sampton wouldn’t have endured a nightmare childhood in the Chip Family, nor would Jane need to tread carefully to please others in the Sampton Family, whereas Jillian would live through the days Julie had in the Chip Family.
But all these ’ifs’ stirred not even the slightest ripple in Jane’s heart.
