....

"So, my love, what am I looking at here?" I asked the resident expert in my embrace.

"They’re your authorities. Your domain of rule."

"I can see that, but what’s with these plain descriptions?"

"What were you expecting? More horror-inducing abilities to add to your belt?"

"Well, yeah?"

"Well, there you have them. Don’t look at their surface-level descriptions; those are a lot scarier than you think. In fact, they’re terrifying in their simplicity."

I looked back at the list of authorities. It wasn’t that I couldn’t grasp what they meant. In fact, it was because I could that I had to ask, because if their descriptions were truly just that, then did I truly have any enemies out there?

"Yes..."

"Huh?"

"You were thinking if you had any enemies out there, and I’m answering you yes."

"Stop being in my head."

"Too late. As I was saying, remember? Existence level matters. This isn’t like when you were a B-rank mortal devouring and eliminating Law-stage powerhouses. Those were scuffles of ants."

I kept quiet. Attention focused on her explanations. "When faced with a true outer being or chaos being, existence level comes into play. I will admit, you have your unique advantages, unfair advantages, in fact, with your Origins of Denial, Devouring, and Oblivion, you’re far removed from anything a fledgling being should be, but even then, it is still not enough."

"There we go with this existence level thing again." This was the third time it was being mentioned, and even my system had branded my next target as increasing my existence level.

"So how do I do it, increasing my existence level, that is?"

"I know what you’re thinking, and no, it’s not your typical ’kill monsters and level up.’ You have to saturate your existence till you reach the next growth phase. Normal outer-existence beings like chaos beings usually just go on and make their own existence to do so. Outer-source beings feed on the opposing forces birthed by the chaos beings’ creations, thus creating a mutual balance. But for you, I believe we already know what you should be doing."

"Devouring," I answered.

"Yes. But not just devouring randomly. Quality, this time around, beats quantity. For what you should be aiming for now are the apostles that will be coming for you."

"Apostles?"

"Yes. For the sole fact that my father has noticed you enough to even grant you access to his being, it means the others have as well. And they will be sending their envoys."

"Is that so?" I fell into thought.

"It is going to be incredibly difficult, something you probably can’t even imagine, but the payoff will be just as amazing."

"How long do we have?"

"Not long enough, but we’ll make it work. We have to."

We both fell silent after that as we fixed our gazes on the glowing panel before us.

All these broken things I’m seeing, and yet somehow Shaia still feels uneasy and afraid.

No, I was sure it wasn’t cowardice. I had experienced them once. And that was because they came to Mother’s domain. But Shaia, she had existence as an outer-source being long before I came to be, so she knew their terror more than me.

If she were still this uneasy even after seeing everything the system was displaying, then that meant the enemies were just that terrifying.

"Heh..." That wicked sense of excitement was slowly building up from within me once more.

A true challenge was on the horizon, and I will soon find out if what I had was enough or not, but for now,

"Onto the next." And ooh boy, was the next one loaded.

[DING!]

{Bonds}: <Absence>, <Nothingness(granted)>, <Void(sealed)>.

....

Bonds. Now I knew this goes beyond just romantic relationships, because I knew my orientation well enough to know that I had nothing for, well, nothingness. But that wasn’t the problem, the issue here was, "Void, huh?" Yes, Void. I had somehow gotten the aspect of Void, and it was from none other than:

[Bonded partners]:

...

Ravena Von Draken<Void(sealed)>

...

"Aunt V," I muttered quietly.

"So, it was real after all," Shaia mused.

"What was?" I asked.

"Remember the first night you and Raven got intimate?"

"You mean the night my bitch-ass system tried to cockblock me?"

"The day you stop being vulgar is the day I probably get pregnant."

"What? What did you just say?"

"As I was saying..."

"Hey! Shaia!! Repeat that!!!"

"The reason the system stopped you was because I had detected traces of Void essence within her."

"Hmm? But how could you have detected it? Weren’t you out of commission?"

"I had regained some functionality after you awakened the first time, but I usually hibernated to conserve my energy. But that time I had to intervene, no matter how impossible the scenario was supposed to be."

"Impossible? Why would it be impossible?"

"Because, my love, there can only ever exist one outer-source of any concept, and there already exists a Void."

"But it could be a knockoff like every other law we normally use. I mean I have—had—a Law of Negation, so..."

"Yes, that’s what I thought too, but now, looking at your system, I can finally confirm it. Although sealed, what she has is the true fragments of an outer-source bloodline."

"But how is that even possible? Never mind that only one can exist at a time, but how did she even come to possess such a thing?"

"Your guess is as good as mine, I have no idea." Shaia shook her head.

"So, what do you think?"

"About what?"

"About unsealing it? Do you think I can, with my bloodline’s ability, restore the full outer-source Void bloodline?"

"I believe it is possible, just not now."

"Existence level, huh?"

"Exactly. You’ve got the tools, but you’re lacking the requirements."

"I suddenly feel like wishing for an outer-source being to spawn so I can begin raising that existence level."

"When you don’t yet have full understanding of your abilities? You’d be courting death."

"Haa... fine, fine... let’s just get this over with, my head already hurts from all the information pouring in."

"Teehee... no pain, no gain, my love, just like they say."

"You should stop using slang, it doesn’t suit you."

"Pooh..."

Ignoring the pouting Shaia, I focused back on my system, determined to get this over with and move on to the next step of action.

A/N: Finally done with the major dumps. Anything else will be explained as the story progresses, I hate info dump Chapters, takes too long to write...

A/N(2): Alright everyone. I forgot to announce it yesterday, but we finished the month of august as 42nd ranked book. A bit lower than last month but good nonetheless.

And I am eternally grateful for your endless support and encouragement of this book.

I had missed the chance to mention the hall of famers yesterday due to exhaustion and the list has been reset. Please, forgive my incompetence, but know that I appreciate each and every single one of you immensely.

Also, as a special announcement, I want to raise the bar once more.

How? Well, it’s like this. From this month onwards, the end of the month mass release will only happen if the book secures a top 40 spot. Take it as me looking for an excuse to rest, but if you wish to stress me out, then I’ll gladly accept it(please stress me out) haha... well, no more ranting from me.

Happy new month my people, and as always...
