Ye Qiu didn’t feel like he was showing off his love; it was just that Xia Jing was particularly sensitive.
There are many attractions in New York, and one of the most famous is Central Park in New York.
Ye Qiu hadn’t been there yet, he had only heard about it, and now he was planning to drive over to take a look.
As Ye Qiu headed towards Central Park, arriving at the underground parking lot there.
When the three of them got out of the car, Miranda asked, "Ye Qiu, where are we?"
"We’re at Central Park."
While taking the elevator up, Ye Qiu noticed that there wasn’t anything particularly special here; it just stood out amidst the surrounding skyscrapers.
Of course, this place was full of greenery, with lakes and such; in this oppressive concrete jungle, not only did people who came here feel comfortable, but even those looking from the skyscrapers felt comfortable too.
Xia Jing now thought these two had come here for a romantic date.
Ye Qiu walked and chatted with Miranda, while Xia Jing followed behind with her bag.
When they found a bench to sit down on, leaning against it, looking at the surrounding trees, it felt quite nice.
Central Park is large, and it would take a long time to explore it all.
Ye Qiu didn’t take the two women for a walk around.
Instead, as it approached lunchtime, Ye Qiu planned to take the two women to Chinatown to eat some Huaxia cuisine and taste the seafood here.
The three of them got back in the car, and Ye Qiu drove towards a parking lot near Chinatown.
Miranda received a call from Li Xiaofen.
"Ye Qiu, Xiaofen said her husband, William, is being discharged from the hospital this afternoon and invites us to dinner tonight."
"Then let’s go."
Now William’s brain cancer had disappeared, his coronary heart disease was gone too; his body just hadn’t fully recovered due to the long illness.
However, if he returned home, with the dedicated care of a private female nurse, it would probably be much more comfortable than staying at the hospital with its unpleasant smell of western medicine and disinfectant.
So, in the morning, William asked Ye Qiu if he could be discharged.
For Ye Qiu, the hospital merely provided a place for treatment; the patient could go home, and he could treat them there just the same.
These Westerners, when it comes to celebrations or significant events, particularly enjoy having dinner parties.
In this regard, it’s quite similar to having a banquet to celebrate in China.
Only, these Westerners seem to be a bit more elegant.
Upon arriving in Chinatown, Ye Qiu found the largest seafood restaurant, which seemed to have a Hong Kong flavor, and he thought it was pretty good.
They entered with the three women.
Found a private room.
The waitress brought the menu, and Ye Qiu looked at it, noting that the seafood wasn’t cheap, but he thought it would still be quite nice here.
Like lobsters, king crabs, these should all be very fresh and don’t need to be airlifted like in China.
"What would you like to eat?"
Miranda, living in Cuba, where there was plenty of seafood, although not eaten every day, it was frequent. The seafood she ate was likely just ordinary sea fish.
Now, seeing those large abalones, was indeed mouth-watering.
"It’s a bit expensive!" Miranda said.
A large abalone weighing two to three pounds would cost over a hundred US dollars each, which wasn’t cheap when converted to Huaxia Yuan.
"Order whatever you like."
Ye Qiu ordered several types of seafood.
And Ye Qiu specifically ordered some of the more expensive, delicious ones.
Given his income, he could eat as much as he wanted without any issue.
After Ye Qiu placed his order, the waitress glanced over, somewhat incredulously asking, "Do you really want to order these? This will total over ten thousand US dollars."
"Bring a bottle of white wine as well."
Ye Qiu added.
The waitress looked at the two beautifully dressed women, who seemed wealthy, and left with the menu.
Soon, she returned with a bottle of white wine.
This white wine had a high alcohol content, which the two women definitely couldn’t handle; otherwise, they might feel drunk tonight.
About half an hour later, the dishes like the lobsters were all delivered, and sure enough, they had that Hong Kong flavor, very fragrant, a feast for the senses.
As Ye Qiu called the two women to eat, at the same time, in the hospital, Li Xiaofen had completed the discharge procedures for her husband, William, preparing to drive back to their suburban villa outside New York.
Meanwhile, Dr. Smith, who was working at the hospital, suddenly felt a wave of nausea and dizziness for some unknown reason.
What was wrong with him?
Dr. Smith found it strange too.
Could it be that he hadn’t rested well?
That couldn’t be.
Compared to the big hospitals in China, doctors were more overworked, but in this American hospital, patients had to make appointments in advance, meaning the number of patients was fixed, so there wouldn’t be too many patients and too few doctors.
Dr. Smith was just like that.
He was planning to find a nearby restaurant for lunch and then return to the hospital for work.
Unexpectedly, he was suddenly experiencing this condition.
However, as a brain specialist, he quickly thought perhaps there was something wrong with his own brain?
Sitting down to drink a cup of coffee and rest, he realized his head still felt off.
Seems like he needed someone to check it out?
Around two in the afternoon, he started looking for other doctors to examine him.
"Dr. Allen, could you help check me out? My head feels very uncomfortable, suddenly I want to vomit and feel dizzy."
Nausea and vomiting?
"Isn’t that a stomach problem?"
"I think it’s caused by my brain."
Though the stomach could cause it too, Dr. Smith’s first instinct was that there might be something wrong with his brain.
Dr. Smith went for a detailed brain examination.
However, nothing was immediately found.
When the brain CT scan came out, Dr. Allen and another attending physician looked at Dr. Smith’s scans and did find some issues.
"Dr. Smith, your brain scan shows a shadow, and it looks quite large."
A shadow?
What was going on?
Dr. Smith felt a chill run through him; being a medical professional, unlike ordinary people, he had strong psychological resilience.
Could it be a tumor?
"Is it a brain tumor?"
If the brain had a tumor pressing against the nerves, that would explain his sudden morning nausea, desire to vomit, and dizziness.
If it were a benign tumor, it would be fine, but if it were malignant, that would be cancer, like William’s previous condition.
