"What do you mean I am going to leave you?" Zade didn’t understand where this question came from. "Have I done something that gives you the impression that I am going to leave you?"

Seara’s gaze on him was cold. She literally glared at him, and Zade tried to think about what he had done that gave her the idea that he was going to leave her.

"No matter what Jane said, you are not going back to the hospital," Zade reassured her, wondering if that was the reason that made Seara think he was going to leave her.

Damn Jane for all of her preaching about intensive care. If Seara had to go back for the second time, then it didn’t work.

If necessary, Zade would build one in the residence area and equip it with everything Jane needed from the hospital.

"You are not going back." Zade had to drive again as the light turned green, but he knew the conversation had not ended yet. And for some reason, Zade felt as if Seara were picking a fight with him.

"Are you with another woman?" Seara asked bluntly.

This time, Zade pulled the car over. He had called Jane earlier to come to the residence, but it seemed they were going to be late.

His mate was spiraling, and he wished he could read her mind in that moment to understand why she felt that way.

"Talk to me. Why do you think that way?"

"You didn’t answer my question!" Seara raised her voice. She had a lot of things on her mind, but she didn’t know how to string her sentences or how to voice coherent words.

She even told herself to stop because it didn’t make sense, yet she couldn’t stop. She wanted to know how far Zade would tolerate her condition because she believed he would leave her one day.

There would be a day that he would turn his back and find a normal woman.

Therefore, she had this impulsive urge to see how far he would go to convince her that he wouldn’t do any of that.

Yet, at the same time, she knew how crazy it sounded.

In Seara’s mind, it felt as if thousands of voices were talking to her about a thousand different things at the same time. It was like watching movies from a dozen screens, and she had to know what those were about.

"You cheat on me, don’t you?" Seara narrowed her eyes dangerously.

"I don’t," Zade answered plain and factual. "I will never do that."

"But one day you will." And then it clicked; a crazy idea crossed her mind. "You call Jane over because you want to see her, right? You stay in the hospital all this time because you want to be close to her, right?"

Zade stared at her for a long moment.

"You don’t answer me. So, is that right? You were not there for me, but you want to be close to her."

In the past, Daven also told her that he saw Eudora as his sister. She was his beta’s sister, so it was natural that they were close.

"What should I do to make you believe me?" Zade was as calm as ever, but it only irritated Seara. She wanted him to scream or do something, because his calmness felt unfamiliar to her; it didn’t match the storm that brewed in her head.

"Give me your phone. You must have..."

Seara didn’t get to finish her sentence when Zade gave her his phone. He gave her the password for it too. Not only that, but he also gave her the passwords to his three personal accounts, so she could check whether he had bought something for a woman recently that was suspicious.

And with that, Seara spent half an hour checking everything. Every email, every text, every transaction, yet she found nothing.

Even his chat with Jane was about her. The last call Zade made was an hour ago when he called Jane to come to the residence.

And before that, the last call was three months ago.

"No, you must be able to hide it... You are smart." Seara screamed to herself to stop. It didn’t make sense, but she couldn’t. It didn’t make her feel good to accuse Zade of something that he didn’t do, but it felt necessary to push him away and see whether he would come back.

But Zade had never had any intention to leave; thus, there was no coming back for him.

"Do you want me to get rid of Jane? I can do that." Zade looked Seara straight in the eyes. He had threatened the three alphas from the three largest packs that he had supported all this time because they had shown their disagreement with Seara being his mate.

What else wouldn’t he do?

"You are not going to do it." Seara was shaking when she watched how Zade’s eyes hardened as he continued to drive.

The rest of the drive was in silence, and Seara was still holding Zade’s phone. This was the only phone that Zade had as far as Seara knew.

And when they finally arrived at the house, Jane was already there, waiting for them in the living room.

"What happened, Seara?" Jane asked in her soft voice. Her red hair was tied up on top of her head, and her glasses sat on the bridge of her pointed nose.

However, Zade walked past Seara, straight to Jane with a murderous intention that was hard to miss.

"No. No. Don’t... I am sorry." Seara hugged Zade tightly; she was afraid Zade would actually do it, because that was what she felt. Zade had half shifted; his claws had emerged from the tips of his fingers. Sharp like a razor. "No, no, please... don’t. I am sorry."

Jane gulped down with difficulty. She didn’t know what Zade was going to do to her, but she sensed danger radiated from the king of the Lycan.
