Claimed by the Mad Lycan King

Chapter 45: DON’T LEAVE ME AGAIN

It was still early in the morning, so Seara must still be sleeping, and he was right. When Zade entered their bedroom, she curled up against Reaper in their bed.

The wolf perked up when he entered, and when he saw Zade, he whimpered slightly and then got off the bed.

Zade held the door open for the wolf and closed it once the wolf was out.

It was still a surprise that Reaper was very docile with Seara, since the wolf was very particular about who could be close to him.

However, Zade didn’t have time to think about the wolf, because his main focus was on his mate, who was sleeping in his jacket.

He remembered it was the same jacket he was wearing the day he left for the Blackthorne Pack, and Seara had been wearing it ever since then. He saw it a few times when they had a video call.

"Hmm...?" Seara stretched out her hand and tried to find Reaper with her eyes closed. She was still sleeping, and her brows were slightly furrowed.

Zade then climbed onto the bed and pulled her closer. He cradled her in his arms, and out of instinct, Seara snuggled against his chest. She literally pressed her nose against his neck, which made Zade stiffen.

The neck was a vital spot for every shifter. It came down to instinct not to touch them there, even when you trusted that person.

However, to Zade’s surprise, he didn’t feel alert when Seara did that. It came as a natural thing for him, as if they had been like this countless times.

"I am home," Zade whispered into her ear as he caressed her long hair.

She had gained more weight, and Zade could tell, which was great. Her cheeks had become plumper, and from what Maisie and Caylin said in their text as they reported to him, Seara didn’t have trouble sleeping.

His mate was getting better...

Zade closed his eyes as he breathed in Seara’s scent. "I will not let any harm befall you."

And with Seara nestled peacefully against his chest, he fished out his phone to check something. By this time, Ace must have sent him the important thing that he had retrieved from the three women’s phones.

Zade was right; what he wanted was there.

Thus, with one hand holding Seara close to him, he opened the email that Ace had sent him. It was a good thing he had Seara close, because the more he looked into it, the more he felt his beast was going to go rampant.

Everything they had done to her was written there, in the text messages they exchanged, dating back ten years. The messages detailed all the ways they had harmed his mate.

It had been confirmed that Daven was crippled. His leg couldn’t be saved anymore because it was too late for him to get the necessary treatment.

His left leg had twisted at the weirdest angle, leaving him unable to walk without crutches. This was a humiliation.

As an alpha, he would prefer to be killed, since it would be more honorable.

Not only that, but King Asher also came to him and told him he was stripped of his title, since he couldn’t perform his duty to his pack anymore.

"You can retire. There is a house that has been prepared for you."

That was all the king said before he appointed Rexton as the new alpha for the Blackthorne Pack and Silas as the new beta. Their status had been elevated, while Daven was ostracized.

His mate had been taken away along with his sister, and now, he was left alone in this small house at the outskirts of the pack.

"I am going to kill him. I am going to kill them all. I am going to make them suffer. I am going to make him beg for mercy. I am going to kill him."

Daven repeated the same thing over and over again as he stared at the wall, sitting in his wheelchair. He was unable to reach for the light switch. It was too high for him.

The humiliation remained, even after the Lycan king had left; it was in everything he was doing.

"I am going to kill him..."

"Do you really want to kill him?"

Daven was startled; he snapped his head to his left side, where the source of the voice came from, and saw a man standing at the doorframe of his bedroom.

"Who are you?"

The man chuckled; his bright red eyes glimmered in the dimly lit room. "Do you want to kill them all?" he asked again with his sultry voice.

Seara woke up, having felt an intense sense of anger. She sensed danger. Although she had lost her wolf spirit, the intensity of the murderous feeling was so strong that no one could miss it.

She rubbed her sleepy eyes and then lifted her face to find Zade’s face right before her.

"Good morning, Love." Zade pecked the corner of her lips and put away his phone. In an instant, the intense murderous feeling that Seara sensed earlier disappeared. "How is your sleep?"

"You are here."

"I am home."

Zade ran his fingers through her long hair, and Seara closed her eyes. It was very comfortable, and she wanted to fall asleep again, but then she realized she was not sleeping on the bed; she felt his strong heartbeat beneath her.

"I miss you; don’t leave me again." Seara buried her face in the crook of his neck.

"I will not," Zade promised her. There were a few things that he had to do, but they could wait. "Did people here treat you well?" He noticed his mate was no longer afraid of him.

"Yes. But I miss Sybill." Seara lifted her head and looked at Zade with her beautiful hazel eyes. "Can we get her back from the pack? She must be lonely to be alone in the cell."
