Chapter 63: I AM GOING TO KILL YOU!

Seara was reliving her dark memory when Zade hugged her from behind to restrain her. She was desperate to get away from him, thinking he was one of those filthy warriors.

The thought of that alone made Zade sick. Not because he was disgusted with his mate for what those shifters had done, but because the thought of his touch had triggered her painful memory.

There was no way in hell he would feel any sense of resentment toward her.

Yet, when his touch didn’t bring comfort, Zade released her unconsciously. He felt ill, as if his whole body were burning with resentment, as if there were a disgusting disease that gnawed at him.

Zade didn’t know how to name this emotion. He felt anger that he couldn’t explain; he didn’t even know to whom his anger should be directed.

Those filthy shifters had died, but Seara was alive to relive what they had done. And she would never be the same.

And the moment Zade loosened his grip, Seara rushed toward the door and was about to escape, but she bumped into Jane, who wanted to come inside.

Because of the impact, both of them fell backward.

With a long stride, Zade caught his mate, while Ace helped Jane before she fell.

"What’s going on?" Jane was caught off guard to see how disheveled Seara was. She was still trying to fight Zade so he could let her go.

Especially when she saw Ace, who was still standing in the corridor with Jane. "Bad guy! Bastard! I am going to kill you!"

Zade turned Seara’s body around, so she looked at him instead of Ace. He understood why his mate had been very frantic whenever she saw Ace. Two of the warriors that he killed had the same hair color as his royal beta.

"I don’t want to be locked here! Let me out! Don’t touch me!" Seara screamed until her voice turned hoarse, and her throat turned sore.

"It’s me, Seara. It’s me." Zade cupped her palms against his face and forced her to look at him.

Seara’s beautiful hazel eyes stared at Zade, but she didn’t really look at him. She was staring straight past him.

"Bastard!" Seara hissed this time; her voice shifted into a low growl. "I am going to kill you once I get out of here. You are going to suffer. I know who sent you here. Fuck you and fuck your family."

Zade didn’t mind the insult, as long as she calmed down, but a second later she broke down again. This time, she managed to hit her head against the wall before Jane injected her.

In no time, her body grew limp against Zade’s chest. She still mumbled the same thing as she clutched onto him.

"I think for the time being, we need to put her under." Jane watched Zade put Seara on the bed carefully. She wouldn’t be able to talk to her right now. "A strong medication will be required."

Zade tucked Seara in. He brushed his fingers against the bump on her forehead. "Do whatever you need to do."

"Damn, Zade. It feels like I am going to get cancer by being near you alone," Zephyr said as he approached Zade at the parking lot. He grimaced when he saw the butts of cigarettes scattered around him.

From the look of it, he must have finished at least one pack.

"I thought you stopped." He handed Zade a gym bag with Seara’s clothes.

Actually, it was not needed because Seara was required to wear the hospital gown, but Zade made sure Jane agreed to this under one condition. Only simple shirts and dresses were allowed. There should be no buttons, no zippers, and no accessories.

"How is she?" Zephyr asked curiously.

However, Zade didn’t say anything. He put the gym bag inside the car as he continued to smoke while staring at the night sky. It was gloomy; there was no moonlight, but the street lamps were bright enough to illuminate the dark corner of the parking lot.

"Are you okay?" Zephyr leaned against the car as well, next to Zade, and lit up his own cigarette.

"I want to kill someone," Zephyr replied without even thinking. He had been holding back the urge to go back to the residence and go to the dungeon.

He wanted to skin those three women alive.

Or...

He could bring Seara back and let her vent her anger toward them. It might help her to feel better.

He had voiced this idea to Jane, but she denied it strongly. Killing those three women wouldn’t help with Seara’s case, in her opinion, but Zade thought otherwise...

"You are not really going to do it, right?" Zephyr grimaced; he blew the white smoke away. "It’s okay, you can kill every cigarette; you are not going to have cancer anyway."

Zade didn’t respond, but instead, he took the gym bag and went back to the hospital building. He had been outside for three hours to clear his head since the incident with Seara in the hospital ward.

But if anything, his mind grew restless even more when Seara was out of his sight.

"I am Neriah," Neriah said. She tugged at her long brown hair nervously. "I want... I want to see Seara. Can I see her?"

"Who are you to her?" Ace asked. Both of them were standing at the main gates to the residence.

Ace had just returned from the company to take care of something and saw this woman right outside of the main gates. She approached his car and insisted on talking to him.

"I am her friend from the Blackthorne Pack," Neriah said timidly. She was only carrying a backpack with her and looked exhausted.

Normally, Ace would turn her away, but they needed all the information that they could gather about Seara. More importantly, why was a member of the Blackthorne Pack present here?

"Get into the car."
