"I heard you came home. I want to ask you something..." Jeremy stopped in his tracks when he saw Seara. He forgot what he wanted to say when he saw her. "Is she Seara?"
Jeremy had been itching to see the girl, who was Zade’s mate. For a Lycan, it was extremely rare for him to find his destined mate.
After all, Zade had lived hundreds of years without finding one, and now, she was here.
"So, it’s true, you are Seara?" Jeremy looked at her up and down and concluded that she was not as pretty as Chloe.
This woman was very skinny, pale, and lifeless. The best analogy to compare Seara and Chloe is that while Seara was the calm moon at night, Chloe was a bright, captivating firework. Everyone would stop for a while to admire her beauty.
Yet, the king of the Lycans chose this woman instead.
"What do you want here, Jeremy?" Zade asked the young werewolf.
"I want to ask something about..." He glanced at Seara because he was not sure whether he could say it out loud. "About the dungeon."
"We will talk about that later."
"Okay." Jeremy still didn’t want to leave, as his eyes were glued to Seara and Reaper. "Why don’t you take her to the main house? Mom and Dad have been dying to see her. They have wanted..."
"Have you finished your training?" Zade asked, cutting off his rambling.
"Yeah... I have finished my training..." Jeremy drawled the answer, looking unsure about it.
"Ace, look after your brother; make sure he is trained properly." Zade then took Seara into the house, while Reaper followed them, leaving the two brothers alone.
"Bro, did you change your hair color?" Jeremy finally noticed it after Zade and Seara disappeared behind the closed door. "I didn’t know that you cared about your appearance."
Ace didn’t say anything, but he wrapped his arm around his little brother’s shoulders and dragged him out of there.
Zade was right; Jeremy needed to go through proper training.
"Is it Chloe? Are you going out with her?" Jeremy widened his eyes in surprise.
"Shut up, you talk too much."
"So, it’s really her? Right?" Jeremy gave his brother a side-eye look. "She really has a bad eye for men. First, it’s the king, and now it’s you. Aw!" Jeremy pushed Ace away from him when his brother hit his head. "What is that for?"
"Rein in your little crush on her; she is way older than you."
"What? No! Of course not! You are crazy if you think I have a crush on her," Jeremy grumbled and then walked ahead.
Ace’s parents adopted him when he was a baby. There was a devastating reason why Jeremy was adopted, because it was not common for shifters to do that.
"Mom has been wanting to see the king’s mate. Why don’t you ask him to bring her to the main building? Having dinner?"
"The situation is complicated, and don’t bring this up again unless you want extra training."
Jeremy grimaced when he heard that.

Seara was in an excellent mood after beating Zephyr in a game again. She beamed with delight at seeing how frustrated the royal gamma became when he lost.
"I win!" Seara went to Zade for a hug every time she won the game, and he would kiss her forehead, telling her she did great.
Right now, the three of them gathered in the living room after they had had their dinner, and as usual, Zephyr would come over to have his meal.
"You are only being lucky." Zephyr used the same excuse whenever he lost.
But they knew there was no way Seara was being lucky for ten times straight.
"You shouldn’t rely on luck if you have a good skill," Seara retorted. She was especially relaxed when she was around Zephyr, aside from when she was with Zade.
"What? What does that mean?" Zephyr put his hand over his chest dramatically. "You hurt my pride, young lady. Let’s do one more game!"
Seara laughed when she saw how upset Zephyr was.
But in the next game, he kept losing to her.
"No way. You must have cheated." Zephyr looked like a child when he lost his game, especially when he was being petty.
"Don’t be such a sore loser." Zade stood up and took Seara’s hand. He handed back the phone to Zephyr. "It’s already late; it’s time to sleep."
Seara followed Zade into their bedroom, but not before she spoke lightly to Zephyr. "Next time let’s play again, but don’t make it easy for me," she chuckled lightly.
"Are you mocking me?"
It was the first time Seara felt so happy. Zephyr was very funny, and she felt safe with him. Even though he was upset, somehow she knew that he wouldn’t harm her, just like Zade.
However, Zade had never been upset with her.
"I am happy."
Seara snuggled against Zade’s body, and it was the hardest part for Zade every night he had to lie down next to her, while she touched him freely without knowing what it meant for him.
"I am glad you are happy." Zade tucked strands of hair behind her ear and pinched her chin to lift her head slightly so that he could see into her beautiful hazel eyes. "Can I kiss you?"
The question came out of the blue and caught Seara off guard. Zade had kissed her several times before. Her cheeks, her nose, her forehead, her hair, her eyes, the corner of her lips...
But if Zade asked permission like this, she knew what he meant.
"No?" Zade brushed his thumb against her lips lightly. His electric blue eyes were slightly darkened with desire.
He wanted to do a lot of things to her, but of course, Jane would kill him if he even voiced one of them.
It was an instinct, after all, and his beast was so restless when he touched his mate.
