He looked her dead in the face.

"Just stop this bullshit. Master. Slave. All that shit. Cut it. And get out of my life."

Milady stared at him. Tears still coming. Then she nodded, small and ugly.

"Fine," she whispered. "I can’t take this anymore anyway."

Ray frowned. "That’s it? You’re just done?"

"I have to be like this." She pressed her palms against her eyes. "Being negative is the only way I can hold that rotten identity down."

"Rotten identity." Ray turned toward her. "The hell does that even mean. What’s she do."

Milady dropped her hands. She didn’t decorate it.

"She’s a killer."

Ray went still.

"I’m not," Milady said. "I mess with people. I have fun. I make a scene. That’s it. Her? She does accidents. School bus. A car hitting a pregnant woman. Things that look like bad luck until you count the bodies."

Ray’s jaw tightened. "And you keep her in by being an asshole."

"Yes. If I start being good, my head gets weak. She takes over."

"For how long."

"Twenty minutes."

Ray let out a short, disbelieving breath. "Twenty minutes? That’s it?"

Milady snapped so hard her voice broke again.

"That’s it? She can wipe out hundreds of people in twenty minutes. Don’t say ’only’ like it’s a nap."

She wiped her face with the back of her wrist, smearing it.

"I go after criminals. Dirty politicians. I still have empathy. I’m not her. But I have to dump the ugly feelings somewhere or she climbs up. That’s why I stay like this. That’s why I treat people like shit. If I go soft, she gets the wheel."

Ray just stared at her.

"What the fuck." He dragged a hand down his face. "This is so weird. All of it."

Milady didn’t look at him. She kept her head down, tears still drying on her cheeks, his cum still in her.

Ray turned on the sofa. "Then why me. Straight answer. You come after me ’cause I got a system, or ’cause I fuck whoever I want?"

Milady wiped under her eye with her wrist.

"I needed your power," she said. "That’s it. While your Common Sense Altering System is on, I can erase that rotten identity out of my head. Little by little."

Ray frowned. "How."

"I don’t know how it works. I just know it works." She swallowed. "When your Global Alter’s up. When Alter Building’s up. Her hold gets weak. My system can actually push her back."

Ray let out a short breath. "Okay. But the level. What’s the level on that. You need me maxed or what."

"I don’t know the real reason," Milady said. "I don’t know why your system does that to her. I only know that when you’re active, she slips."

Ray sat with that for a second, still hard, still confused, still looking at a girl who five minutes ago was crying and five minutes before that was treating him like a dog.

"So that’s why you showed up."

"That," Milady said, "and I was going to work with you."

"Work with me on what."

"The executions. Hime Nature. Angelo."

Ray blinked. "Executions? What?"

"Hime Nature’s a fraud," Milady said. "Extremist vegan. Whole brand’s a mask."

Ray almost laughed. "Everybody knows that. Her stream—"

"Her stream is the cover." Milady cut him off. "She’s already made a mess nobody sees. And she likes kids. She did something to Boy."

Ray went still. "For real?"

Milady nodded once.

"Angelo’s worse in a different way," she said. "The way he levels is fire. Those buildings he ’saves’? He lights them first. Hero footage after his own smoke."

She said it and then her face twisted, like sitting there naked with all of that in her mouth suddenly made her skin crawl. She grabbed her clothes off the floor and stood up.

Ray looked up at her. "Where you going."

"To clean my pussy," Milady snapped, already stepping toward the stairs. "From your dirty cum."

She didn’t wait for him. She walked to the stairwell and started down, because the bathroom was on the floor below.

Ray stayed on the sofa and watched her from behind. Didn’t call her back. His eyes dropped without him meaning to — the line of her back, her ass, the mess between her thighs. His cum was still running down her as she went, dripping off a woman carrying a life that didn’t make any damn sense.

Ray sat there after she went downstairs and let out a long breath.

"Hmmm..." He dragged his shirt over his head. "This life just keeps getting dumber."

He stood, pulled his pants on, grabbed his stuff off the floor. The shop was hers. Staying felt stupid.

"Yeah. I’m finding somewhere else."

He unlocked his phone to look for a motel.

The screen exploded.

Notifications stacked over each other. Livestreams. City noise. People screaming his name like it was a sport.

*We’re looking for Ray—*

*Has anybody seen him—*

*Reporters outside—*

Then a clip. Shaky phone footage. A street corner. A voice cracking with joy.

"Holy shit. We got his location."

"Fuck."

Ray shoved the rest of his things into his hands and moved.

"Ray!" Milady’s voice snapped from downstairs. "Ray!"

He took the stairs two at a time. She was already dressed. Still wet. The fabric clung to her and a dark patch was seeping through between her legs like she never got a real minute to clean up.

"We don’t have time," she said. "We have to run."

"Where."

"You go. I don’t care where. Our business is alrea—"

"I’m going with you."

Milady’s mouth tightened.

"As long as there ain’t no slave shit, or—"

"No." She cut him off. "I can’t answer you nice. I have to be rough with people or she takes over."

Ray stared at her for half a second, then clicked his tongue.

"Fine. We’ll roleplay it."

Milady’s mouth twitched. A small, ugly smile.

"Good dog."

She snatched his phone out of his hand, held the button, and killed it.

"Let’s go."

She didn’t waste another word on the shop. She cracked the gas, lit it, and fire licked up behind them like she’d done it before.

Ray didn’t ask why she was burning the place.

Milady still talked while she shoved him toward the back.

"Don’t worry. This block’s empty. Fire station’s close. They’ll get it before it eats the street."

Then they were gone.

Ray pulled a mask over his face. They cut off the road and into the trees, dense enough that the city noise started dying behind them. He didn’t lead. He just followed her. Minutes bled. The ground changed. Buildings disappeared. By the time his brain caught up, they were in the woods.

"Stop," Milady said.

They stopped.

Ray bent over, hands on his knees, breathing hard. Sweat in his eyes. Mask damp.

Milady didn’t sit. She took his dead phone, walked a few steps off the path, and threw it. Then she crouched, pulled the SIM, and burned that too until there was nothing left to track.

She stood up and looked back at him like the night still wasn’t done with them.

Ray opened his mouth.

"Sit," Milady said.

He looked at her.

"Sit."

He sat. Dirt. Roots. His legs still shaking from the run.

Milady dropped onto his lap like he was furniture.

"Hey—"

"Shut up." She shifted her weight, ass heavy on his thighs. "You already wrecked my pussy. Don’t get soft now. I need a chair so my pants don’t get filthy."

Ray exhaled through his nose and shoved his bag off to the side.

"Alright. What now. We laying it out or what. Straight."

"We go to the next city," Milady said. "My place."

Ray frowned up at the side of her face. "You were evil to me earlier. If being nice is what lets that thing out, how’d she show up then."

Milady’s head snapped toward him.

"Because I felt sorry for you."

Ray blinked. "What?"

"After your first weird phenomenon," she said, still sitting on him, still talking like she hated the words. "That rotten thing stopped trying to come out. I got sloppy. I started being gentle with my employees. With other people. I even apologized to somebody in a mall and she still didn’t climb up. I was worried the whole time. She just... didn’t."

Ray stared at the trees. "Oh. So then that photo. When I grabbed that married woman’s tits. You didn’t send it to her husband?"

"I sent it."

"Why."

"Because she was a cheater," Milady said. "She wasn’t at the mall shopping. She was there to meet the guy she was fucking."

Ray let out a slow breath. "Hmmm..."

"And the rest of them," Milady added. "Every woman you’ve already fucked. I don’t care. It’s better if you fuck them."

Ray turned his head. "Why."

"Because they’re all whores."

He went quiet for a second.

"I want details."

Milady looked down at him. That ugly little smile again.

"I’ll answer. Get on all fours. Let me sit on your back."

Ray’s jaw flexed. "You serious."

"Yes."

He was pissed. He still did it. Curiosity won. He dropped forward onto his hands and knees in the dirt, and Milady climbed onto his back like he was a bench.

"Lena," she said.

Ray stared at the ground. "Gym. Used to work with her."

"She milks simps. That’s her hobby. Finds a man who’ll fold and wrings him out."

"Hmm. Yeah. I knew that."

"Maya."

Ray’s fingers dug into the dirt. "My old boss."

"She let her friends’ husbands gangbang her at a reunion," Milady said. "Willing. She wanted it. She even put her girlfriends to sleep first. Pills. Then she used their husbands."

"God damn," Ray muttered at the dirt. "That’s crazy."

"Julia."

Ray didn’t even lift his head. "Hmm. Yeah. She’s a whore. Toxic too."

"That’s not all. Before she even met you, she was abusive to her exes. And she liked breaking other people’s homes. On purpose."

Ray kept his eyes on the ground. "Damn. That’s crazy."

Milady shifted on his back.

"Sonya."

Ray swallowed.

"...Her too?"

Milady laughed under her breath, mean and quiet.

"Yes. Even that thick motherly milf. She’s not clean either. She likes abortion. Every time it was the same line. Not ready for a kid. Not ready. Not ready. The number wasn’t small. Now she can’t have one."

Ray’s head dropped lower. He didn’t say she was lying. He couldn’t make his mouth do it. He was already falling for Sonya and he knew that was making him biased as hell.

"Well," Milady said.

She grabbed a fistful of his hair and yanked his head back just enough to get her mouth near his ear.

"Besides the weird fetish. Besides the rotten shit." Her voice went thinner. "Before you fucked her, Karl already did."

Ray froze.

"Karl?"

"Yes," Milady whispered. "Your best friend. I dug through that woman’s head. I didn’t guess. I saw it."
