Creepy Pharmacist: All my patients are scary!
Chapter 733: Mother Tree! Seize This FutureHumm—
Lynn smiled faintly as he leaped up, his hand reaching sharply toward Sir Aiwen, who was kneeling on one knee, clutching his head with a look of utter confusion and chaos in his eyes.
That tiny chip, recording the entire psychic energy system and memories of the Cyber Civilization, was forcefully inserted into Sir Aiwen's semi-transparent illusory body, all under the God of All Machines' tearing gaze.
The silver light of Echoes of the Past flared up instantly.
Unreserved trust allowed the light of Echoes of the Past to encounter almost no resistance.
The chip blazed with a dazzling halo, and those lost and forgotten memories surged like a torrential flood, instantly sweeping through every corner of Sir Aiwen's consciousness.
His immense psychic energy body, as if carrying everything from the past, rose rumblingly within that sun-like radiance.
"His memories and knowledge are actually in your hands?!"
The God of All Machines screamed hysterically, blazing fury erupting from every inch of his body.
He also knew that when he set foot on the Root level, he would certainly hide a backup of his civilization's memories.
But he never expected.
That the one-third fragment he had been yearning for all along had actually been in the hands of that insignificant human!
"I want you dead!"
In his endless roar, annihilation beams erupted from his eyes, ready to completely incinerate Lynn.
But Lynn still didn't retreat a single step.
Because of trust.
Because he believed that if you genuinely held onto someone's past for them, then that person would surely help prop up your future in return!
Humm—
The flare of psychic energy, like a kaleidoscope, made all of reality shimmer with eerie, shifting colors.
Sir Aiwen slowly opened his eyes, which now surged with psychic energy. As the memories were copied, his power kept dropping toward the Monarch level, but he still suddenly reached out. Reality twisted instantly, and those world-destroying annihilation beams, refracted through the kaleidoscope, were violently redirected from another side of reality straight back at the God of All Machines himself.
Boom—
The God of All Machines let out a miserable, piercing howl as his massive dragon head was slammed heavily to one side.
"Now you understand, don't you?"
Lynn pinched his monocle, a thick smile spreading across his face.
"Because they're all my family. And shouldn't family help each other out and take on some responsibilities for one another?"
Instantly.
Crimson light flickered on the giant scythe, and blood from half his body was devoured by the blade as he activated his fold-jump ability once again.
The Colossus's Heart pounded like a war drum.
Endlessly supplying fresh blood and power to replenish his body.
In an instant, he folded into the domain where the Desire Mother Tree resided. Without any hesitation, Lynn's fingers brushed lightly across her twisted vines like a dragonfly skimming the water, and he said softly:
"Desire Mother Tree, I'm sorry. Even though you're not my friend right now, since I've 'slammed' you before, that makes you, at least halfway, my lady tree."
The Desire Mother Tree trembled.
This bastard!
Can you please stop bringing that up all the time!?
You're the one who got slammed! Your whole damn family got slammed!
And who the hell is your lady tree?! If it weren't for your overwhelming numbers right now, you'd be the first one I'd kill!
"And I've always believed this isn't your true form."
His eyes reflected that vast, twisted trunk as silver light rippled endlessly along his fingers. He spoke slowly:
"So, since you failed, don't really get discouraged. Because leaving this hell doesn't have to rely on just that one method. Before, I would have definitely schemed to suppress and kill you. But since we have that... peculiar relationship now, and you no longer have a reason to attack me..."
"Then why not try another shortcut?"
"The real you is far more beautiful than this, isn't she?"
In an instant.
A blinding screen of Echoes of the Past spread toward the Desire Mother Tree's massive trunk.
Like a reversal of time, a power that truthfully presented everything from the past before you. That bewitching whisper, as if trying to make you sell your soul, seemed to make her see, within the overwhelming white light, her heartbroken self from three thousand years ago.
She stared blankly at that dazzling silver light, her mind going completely empty for a moment.
"It's okay. Accept it."
That soft whisper flowed through her consciousness again, like a gentle stream brushing past your ear.
"You can treat this as an exchange. I'll bring back the you from over three thousand years ago, in return for you giving me one chance to act. You can trust me for now, because aren't we alike? We're both wanderers far from home, both forced to wear masks to protect ourselves, both living souls trapped in the past..."
"Aren't we?"
That voice flowed slowly within the white light, making her gaze waver, dazed and lost.
Indeed.
She really didn't know what to do.
From the moment she saw the Colossus fall from the high sky, she had already lost her direction...
Because even the Colossus in its divine form couldn't break through that hell, then even if she devoured the Colossus's Brain, what could she achieve?
Everything was confusion.
The wish she had obsessed over for so many years was smashed into pieces before reality.
Scattered and withered everywhere.
She clenched her teeth tightly, staring at the silver light spreading toward her body and her consciousness. She knew full well that this was clearly that despicable bastard tossing her a smug olive branch, a wicked attempt to take advantage of her vulnerable moment with some twisted thoughts.
If she accepted, it would be equivalent to telling him she was willing to change her stance, willing to set aside their former hostility and let the relationship warm up.
He was testing her heart.
Because they were alike, because they were both masked schemers, that was why he could see right through her vile thoughts!
But...
Her gaze withered as she watched that silver light present scenes from three thousand years ago in her consciousness, showing that elf-like girl bathing in sunlight within a forest—the past she had desperately tried to reclaim before everything was annihilated.
She clenched her teeth, tears shimmering in her eyes, her brows drooping in sorrow.
In an instant.
Her consciousness suddenly clenched its fist, and amid the flickering tears, as if finally making some decision, she reached sharply toward the brilliant silver light.
"You freak!! I don't want to take your path! Even if I want to go back, I'll rely on my own efforts! I'll crawl back step by step!"
"So don't think you can actually make me submit to you!"
"Sooner or later, I will shake off this curse, and I will kill you with my own hands!!"
Accompanied by that anguished, hoarse cry.
Amid the surging tears.
The massive silver light completely engulfed her, and within that roaring brilliance, she forcefully reached out.
And grabbed that hand.
Humm—
In that instant, the radiance of Echoes of the Past completely shrouded that massive trunk, forcing every creature present to close their eyes.
The light illuminated the endless black mist, and faintly, vibrant greenery emerged from within the flesh.
A smile bloomed in Lynn's eyes.
He knew.
Changing the Desire Mother Tree's mindset couldn't be achieved in one go, and twisting her consciousness wasn't that simple either. But doesn't everything start with a good beginning?
In that moment.
Lynn suddenly spun around, grabbing that cold hand within the silver light with all his might. Using every ounce of strength, he executed a three-sixty-degree tomahawk throw, roaring as he hurled her toward the sky where the God of All Machines loomed.
"Use all your desire abilities! Aim at the wound on his neck! That's where you can strike directly at his Origin! You know what to do!"
Humm—
In that instant.
The silver light screen burst open, and that young girl, like a drooping willow—a natural spirit falling from the sky—clenched her teeth and swung a desire-powered strike toward the neck of the massive dragon head in the sky.
Those green eyes, shimmering with tears, seemed to reflect everything she had lost in the past.
Falling from the sky, transforming into the Root in the flames.
If time could flow backward.
Then she would give everything to chase that past she had always clung to!
