Chapter 2104 Time Limited Floor
Catching a glimpse of the small world that was essentially wiped out behind him as he slipped through the path that had opened up to the ground floor just in time, Xuan Hao couldn't help feeling a shiver run down his spine faced with the terrifying world destroying power of that single descending palm originally aimed at him. For the first time feeling just how large the distance between the Profound Immortal Realm and the Venerable Realm truly was if that figure behind the palm attack didn't belong to some realm above the Venerable Realm.
But in the end, he had managed to successfully escape and made it back to the ground floor of the ascension realm tower. The fate of the small world within the twenty seventh floor of the tower was no longer important to him, as he guessed the floor should've reset like previous floors did if he tried visiting it again. After all, he wasn't the one who destroyed the floor this time around, so he doubted that the change would take place like it had when he changed floors previously.
Not so much because he had nothing to do with the change this time around, but because it would be impossible to clear the twenty seventh floor without changing it if that fellow from the so-called immortal realm descended from above to kill whenever someone not originally from the small world successfully ascended to the top of the immortal ascension staircase.
Nevertheless, to make sure that the twenty seventh floor of the tower, his future place to easily get his hands on heavenly and earthly treasures, was intact, he decided to pay the floor a quick visit before shifting his focus towards absorbing the three earthly treasures he had successfully managed to bring out with him. Brushing past a few eager disciples on their way to challenge the second floor of the tower. Stepping onto one of the empty teleportation formations on the ground floor before silently willing it to take him to the twenty seventh floor.
[Unable to access floor 27, time limited floor can't be accessed freely once successfully cleared.]
[Time until next opening of the floor: 99 Years, 11 Months…]
But unexpectedly, instead of finding himself on a changed floor like part of him had expected, he was instead faced with a lockout from the floor itself, something he had not experienced before and also something he found rather irritating given how he would have left the floor if he knew something like this would happen to gather more resources to trade with before clearing the floor and bringing the acquired cultivation resources out for the sect.
As for someone else getting to the twenty seventh floor… He doubted that would happen within the next 99 years, as it would require someone else within the sect to not just reach the Land Creation Realm but also approach his current level of strength.
In other words, the twenty seventh floor would essentially remain inaccessible for the next 99 years. Altogether it is not the worst given the current strength of the sect being nowhere near the level where there was a demand for heavenly and earthly treasures. In a sense, the only one hurt by this was him and his cultivation.
Even then, he did at least manage to get his hands on three earthly treasures and should be able to use them to successfully reach the Late Stage of the Land Creation Realm. After which overcoming the twenty eighth floor shouldn't be that difficult to accomplish and finding heavenly and earthly treasures there shouldn't be impossible.
"Are you going to use the teleportation formation or not? If not, can we use it instead?" As he found himself troubled by how his easy access to heavenly and earthly treasures had been cut off for the foreseeable future, the voice of a young man interrupted his inner complaints. Making him realize that he was essentially blocking one of the teleportation formations by just standing around. "No, I'm not, you and your friends are free to use it." Causing him to quickly step off and leave the teleportation formation before slowly making his way out of the ascension realm tower.
Although he could have returned to the cloud plaza to absorb the earthly treasures he had acquired from the twenty seventh floor, he wanted to return to his own cultivation room for the potential breakthrough to the Late Stage of the Land Creation Realm, as he would have to disperse the incarnation he had left behind to teach Lu Dongli and Li Chi when attempting the breakthrough. Needing his full concentration when breaking through a minor realm compared to the somewhat mindless absorption of a heavenly treasure he had done earlier within the cloud plaza.
At the same time, it was also a good way for him to check up on his disciples before he headed to the twenty eighth floor of the tower, as he had a feeling the seemingly simple killing task wouldn't be anywhere near as simple as he thought it to be.
Of course, it wasn't just the progress of Lu Dongli and Li Chi, as he was relatively well informed on what those two were up to thanks to his incarnation keeping an eye on them. Instead, he was far more interested in just what Mui was getting up to and at the same time also how things were going for Chu Yang, who had already set out to officially take in the little prince, Jiang Li, as his first disciple and should finish doing so within the next week or two according to Chu Yang himself.
The reason why it took so long for Jiang Li to officially become Chu Yang's disciple mainly having to do with the fact that Chu Yang was taking the testing part very seriously and put this little prince through what a few passing elders who witnessed the testing in person described as terrifying. Reminding a few of the more senior elders of the time when Chu Yang had dragged them away for 'practical training' in the combat hall.
Stepping out of the ascension realm tower as he thought of this, Xuan Hao couldn't help feeling a sense of growing anticipation thinking about the almost dormant system of his finally showing signs of life once he gained his first official grand disciple.
Even if his overall expectations for a reward were low, he did at least expect something to happen once he obtained a grand disciple and one of his disciples took his first step towards becoming a master himself. Teaching the younger generation.
Making his way through the sect filled with a growing anticipation for the future, he didn't forget to take in the increasingly lively atmosphere of the sect and the growing strength of both the elders and disciples he encountered along the way. Taking his time greeting a few of the elders he recognized while also lending a hand to a few struggling disciples as he passed by an open training ground for some of the younger members who had only recently joined the sect and were still around the Earlier Stages of the Qi Condensation Realm.
During the small journey through the sect, he also noted the new buildings that had appeared on the Seventh Star Peak without his knowledge. Most prominent of all being the recently built law enforcement hall that had been established by Elder Song not that long ago and had been rapidly strengthened and expanded to ensure the future order within the sect was upheld.
Maybe because of its importance in the expansion and future stability of the sect, the law enforcement hall became the only hall in the sect that had a branch in every single one of the branch sects under the Star Shattering Sect. Different from the Alchemy Hall, Formation Hall and other halls, who generally decided between themselves to turn a branch sect into one focused entirely on alchemy or blacksmithing with no other profession halls around. Not because they wanted to weaken said branch, but instead because they wanted to create specialized branches for certain professions. Allowing them to nurture talent that could then later be accepted into the main hall in the main sect.
The only exception to this rule being some of the large branch sects like the old Flying Sword Sect, that could accommodate the existence of several branches at the same time and still develop proper talent for said branch hall.
That aside, the disciples and elders of the law enforcement hall were fundamentally different, as the only thing required of them beyond their cultivation was knowledge of the sect laws that had been put in place by Elder Song, something Xuan Hao realized was already laying a foundation for these disciples to comprehend the Dao of Order in the future if they followed along the path Elder Song had established. An achievement that left even someone like himself amazed at the uniqueness of the Dao of Order and its abilities to essentially carve out a clear path for others with similar aspirations to follow.
