Gu Yun crossed thousands of feet from the distant mountain forest, appearing beside Xiao Chen in an Instantaneous Flash. He smiled and said, "Brother Xiao!"

Xiao Chen’s pupils constricted, clearly stunned by Gu Yun’s lightning-fast speed. Then, a smile spread across his face as he said cheerfully, "Brother Gu, long time no see!"

"It seems I’m not the remarkable one here. Brother Gu, you’re the one who’s truly hiding your strength!"

Sensing the other man’s vast and profound aura, which felt as deep as the ocean, a trace of shock appeared on Xiao Chen’s face.

’This guy has been breaking through and improving all this time. Does he ever even hit a bottleneck?’

"Hardly. In the presence of a true powerhouse, I’m no different from an ant."

As Gu Yun replied, his mind flashed back to the immense battle waged by Tongxuan True Monarch.

Xiao Chen nodded slightly in agreement. In the presence of a true powerhouse, they were indeed no different from ants.

Then, Xiao Chen said, "Brother Gu, you must be here for the Supreme Secret Realm. Why don’t we enter together and explore its depths?"

Gu Yun nodded.

In the next instant, the two of them flickered and shot into the spatial entrance of the Supreme Secret Realm.

At the same time, an ancient, world-weary voice echoed in Xiao Chen’s mind.

"That friend of yours is no simple character. The sheer volume of his True Yuan, his proficiency with Martial Techniques, his comprehension of Momentum, and the intensity of his Spiritual Sense... all of it far surpasses others of the same Realm!"

...

「At a place with an exceptionally rich Spirit Pool.」

Several figures hovered in the void, each occupying a different position. They faced off against one another, and the atmosphere was incredibly tense.

The reason for the standoff was the exceptionally rich Spirit Pool below them.

It was a pool formed from coalesced Spirit Liquid, filled to the brim with a pale golden fluid. This liquid emitted a hazy shimmer, like molten gold and gemstones, and gave off a faint, sweet fragrance born from Spiritual Qi condensed to its absolute limit. Just a whiff of the scent made one feel as if the bottleneck to their current Realm was about to break!

Greed shone in the eyes of the figures above. It was clear that every single one of them wanted it.

The pale golden Heaven and Earth Spirit Liquid was created from the convergence of an underground Spirit Vein and the special surrounding terrain, forming this pool of Thousand-Year Golden Spirit Liquid.

Its effects were not limited to raising one’s Realm and Cultivation; it also enhanced one’s Spiritual Sense and could even, to some degree, improve one’s innate talent. Its efficacy was undeniably immense!

Meanwhile, Gu Yun and Xiao Chen had concealed their auras, hiding on a high mountain not far away.

As luck would have it, upon entering the Supreme Secret Realm, they had been randomly teleported by a spatial vortex to this very area.

Gu Yun had used his powerful Spiritual Sense to detect the figures up ahead and immediately warned Xiao Chen to conceal his aura and not be rash.

Gu Yun had expected Xiao Chen to reveal their position and charge straight into a fight with the distant cultivators.

He never expected, however, that Xiao Chen’s aura-concealing Technique was so masterful!

’If he weren’t standing right next to me, even I wouldn’t be able to sense his presence.’

Faint purple lightning coiled within Gu Yun’s ink-black eyes. He focused his extraordinary vision on the distance, staring at the golden Spirit Liquid and its hazy glow.

’Incredible. An entire pool of Thousand-Year Golden Spirit Liquid!’

’I knew I wasn’t wrong about him!’

’Stick with Xiao Chen in a Heaven and Earth Secret Realm, and you’re bound to run into all sorts of opportunities. He really is a man blessed by fortune!’

At that moment,

the air between the cultivators in the void crackled with tension. It felt as if a storm could erupt at any second, a violent free-for-all to seize the Thousand-Year Golden Spirit Liquid.

Suddenly,

a middle-aged Cultivator with a thin, wispy mustache and gleaming eyes spoke up. "Everyone, we can’t maintain this stalemate forever. If more people arrive, we’ll just have to split the prize further!"

He was clearly referring to others on their level; anyone weaker would have no right to share the spoils.

As he spoke,

the tension-filled atmosphere eased slightly. They weren’t fools and understood his reasoning. Still, with an entire pool of Thousand-Year Golden Spirit Liquid right before their eyes, who wouldn’t be tempted?

"How about this," an elderly man in a white robe said in a low voice. "We all take a step back and agree to divide the Thousand-Year Golden Spirit Liquid amongst ourselves. What do you say?"

"Agreed! I have no problem with that!" the shrewd, mustached cultivator from before immediately replied.

As he spoke, he surreptitiously exchanged a glance with the white-robed elder.

The burly man in the void narrowed his eyes, then said, "I have no objections either."

The final person, a beautiful female cultivator with hair like a cascading waterfall, dressed in a vibrant red gown, added in a pleasant voice, "Since no one has any objections, neither do I."

"Very well then," said the white-robed elder. "Let us divide the Thousand-Year Golden Spirit Liquid together!"

With that, the four of them shot toward the golden Spirit Pool in unison.

But just as they were en route, the unexpected happened.

The mustached middle-aged cultivator’s True Martial Third Layer cultivation suddenly flared. He clenched his hand into a fist that whistled through the air, tearing at space. With the weight of a mountain behind it, he viciously swung at the nearby female cultivator in red.

At the same moment, a ruthless glint flashed in the eyes of the white-robed elder. A Longsword appeared in his hand with a flick of his wrist, and he unleashed a wickedly sharp line of Sword Qi at the female cultivator.

The attack tore through space, lunging at the female cultivator like a soaring Flood Dragon intent on devouring her!

The female cultivator in red reacted instantly.

She snorted coldly. "Just as I thought!"

Then, she swiftly condensed two spheres of True Yuan from the void and sent them hurtling toward the incoming attacks.

But she was only at the True Martial Third Layer Early Stage; how could she possibly fend off a premeditated strike from two other True Martial Third Layer experts? The mustached cultivator’s fist, seeming to shatter space itself, instantly crushed her sphere of True Yuan and continued on its path toward her.

The white-robed elder’s sharp Sword Qi did the same, tearing through the other sphere of True Yuan and streaking across space like a meteor as it shot lethally toward the female cultivator in red.

Seeing this, the female cultivator’s face turned pale with horror. She wanted to escape, but it was too late; the two powerful attacks were already upon her.

In the next instant,

BAM!

The two powerful attacks grievously wounded the female cultivator. She coughed up blood as her dress tore, revealing ghastly wounds beneath. The tremendous force of the fist then sent her flying backward like a cannonball.

The mustached cultivator then formed a quick hand seal, condensing a terrifyingly cold ice flood dragon from the void. The temperature plummeted, making the very air seem to freeze. The ice flood dragon then soared into the air and, carrying an aura of absolute frost, shot toward the female cultivator to deliver the killing blow!

CRACK!

In an instant, struck by the icy flood dragon, the female cultivator was frozen solid. She then shattered into pieces, all signs of life extinguished. The only thing that remained was the look of regret frozen in her eyes. ’I should have just run from the start.’

Though it takes time to describe, everything had happened in the span of a single breath.

This ambush had been pre-planned by the middle-aged cultivator and the white-robed elder. With one at the True Martial Third Layer Middle Stage and the other at the Late Stage, they had joined forces.

Their plan was to first eliminate the weakest of the group—the female cultivator at the True Martial Third Layer Early Stage—and then deal with the burly man, who was at the True Martial Third Layer Late Stage, together.

There was no helping it.

Four people was too many, and their appetites were simply too large. She had only herself to blame for being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

The burly man at the side had instantly put distance between them, now hovering hundreds of feet away. A Giant Sword appeared in his hand, and he radiated a powerful aura, his eyes sharp.

Then he sneered at the two of them:

"Heh. So this is what you call ’sharing’?"
