The fiftieth floor of the Dungeon.

Bell stood atop a massive boulder, looking out over the entire floor.

Although this safe floor did not spawn monsters, it was unlike the eighteenth floor. There were no crystals in the distant, high sky to illuminate the vast space. Instead, gray stone pillars emitted a faint phosphorescent glow.

The view was dim, and the scenery across the floor was the same.

The forest below Bell seemed to have lost all vitality. Every towering tree was covered in a dull layer of gray.

It resembled the dust left behind when Adventurers defeated monsters and extracted their Magic Stones, giving the place an ominous feeling.

Loki Familia was busy setting up camp. They raised the canopies they had prepared in advance to keep out the dust.

The Magic Stone lamps reflected everyone's weary faces. Under Finn's command, Loki Familia had reached this place without losing a single member.

Along the way, Bell had not had many chances to show his strength in battle.

Riveria had once stressed to the Elven women that an expedition was not a date.

But with Ais and the others present, even though Bell stayed constantly on guard against an Evilus attack while observing the Dungeon's terrain and monsters, the objective truth was that, throughout the expedition so far, he had been practically inseparable from Riveria. It could absolutely be called one long date.

"As expected, Evilus didn't come to attack us."

Riveria looked down at the gray forest below and murmured softly.

The expedition had encountered many situations so far and could hardly be called easy, but neither Loki Familia nor Hephaestus Familia had suffered even a single serious injury.

The calm before the storm hung over the entire expedition party.

The enemy had not shown themselves at all, which meant they must have complete confidence in whatever existed on Floor 59.

"Riveria, there's dust in your hair."

Bell looked at her beautiful emerald-green hair and changed the subject.

If before, the arrow had already been on the string and had to be fired, then their current situation had brought them only one step from the truth.

No matter how worried they were, they could not miss this rare opportunity. Once the red-haired woman recovered from her injuries and Evilus regrouped, reaching their current position would no longer be so easy.

Rather than stay anxious, everyone needed to rest properly and enjoy this brief peace.

"Hm? There's dust? Bell, blow it off for me."

Riveria understood what the boy was trying to do and did not dwell on Evilus.

During the expedition, the two of them had changed how they addressed each other. At first, it had only been Bell calling Riveria by name, but gradually, Riveria also dropped the cumbersome formality and began calling the boy by his name directly.

Of course, this was only in private. Not only Lefiya and the others, even Finn knew nothing about it.

Riveria had not fully gotten used to the change in address yet. She was not as fidgety as other girls, but the expression on her face did not lie.

When Riveria was embarrassed, her delicate skin would flush faintly red. After a moment, that blush would be submerged by her belated reason. Once her embarrassment passed a certain limit, the spoiled princess would resort to violence to cover everything up.

These were all details Bell had summed up during the journey.

"..."

Bell did as Riveria asked, openly stroking her emerald-green hair and gently blowing away the gray dust.

"You. Perpetually. Horny. Rabbit!"

The golden-yellow haired elf approached the two of them with a pile of various fruits in her arms, her face full of resentment.

Lefiya had already lost count of how many times she had stumbled across an ambiguous scene like this.

She was now certain that the sense of wrongness she had felt before the expedition began had been right. There was some unspeakable secret between Bell Cranel and Riveria.

Unlike before, Lefiya had no chance to vent. For one thing, the expedition was too important, so she could not chase the boy all over the place. For another, and this was the more practical reason, Lefiya could not defeat Riveria.

No matter how strong her resentment or jealousy was, a single word from Riveria was enough to pour cold water over her, leaving Lefiya with no choice but to puff out her cheeks and walk away.

Elfy had laughed and said, "That's the difference between the legal wife and everyone else," and as a result, her outrageous remark invited Lefiya's revenge. The luggage on Elfy's back became even heavier.

However, after Riveria learned what had happened, whether because she happened to be in a good mood or for some other reason, she showed mercy and had the other idle members share Elfy's work.

Thanks to that, Lefiya was now like a boiled radish, ready to burst from a single poke.

"You, you..."

Lefiya looked at the emerald-green hair in the boy's hand and, for a moment, had no idea what to say.

She had already tried many times to force the boy and Riveria apart, but every time, she was the one who ended up getting scolded.

"I'm helping Riveria-san blow away the dust. Why are you so angry, Lefiya-san?"

Bell looked at the red-faced golden-yellow haired elf and asked with an innocent expression.

"Of course it's because... Riveria-sama is very noble..."

Lefiya answered haltingly.

"Riveria-san is a dignified and noble member of elf royalty, right?"

Bell guided Lefiya's thoughts along.

"Mm..."

"She's a woman even more beautiful and captivating than a Goddess, right?"

"Mm..."

"She's the world's number one princess, right?"

"Mm."

Lefiya felt that there was something odd about the boy's praise.

"In that case, what I'm doing right now is cleansing Riveria-san of impurity. It is an act of justice upheld by countless Elves."

Bell delivered his conclusion in a teasing tone.

When he mentioned "the world's number one princess," Riveria's ears turned red, and she gave him a reproachful look. Otherwise, Bell could have kept praising her.

"Mm...?"

Lefiya furrowed her brow.

The boy's words seemed to make a little sense.

Lefiya stood frozen in place, still holding the pile of fruit.

Just then, another elf girl entered the scene.

"Cranel-san... oh, Riveria-sama is here too? Cranel-san, Elfy-san and the others are calling for you."

Ryuu watched Bell stroking the emerald-green hair and could not help furrowing her delicate brows.

She had received some rough guidance from Elfy, and the first lesson had been, "Imagination is very important for girls."

If the White Rabbit Boy acted intimately with another woman, she should picture herself in that woman's place. That way, it would be easy to understand her own feelings.

Ryuu tried it, and immediately recalled the scene beneath the moonlit night, when the boy had taken a strand of her golden hair.

Her beautiful, dignified cheeks flushed bright red at once.

"Riveria-san, let's go together."

Hearing the calls from inside the camp, Bell knew mealtime was approaching and that it was time for him to work.

"Ryuu-san?"

"N-nothing..."

Ryuu avoided the boy's gaze and quickly ran toward the camp.
