Dark Lord Seduction System: Taming Wives, Daughters, Aunts, and CEOs
Chapter 334: Sofia’s IssuesChapter 334: Sofia’s Issues
The upscale Italian restaurant hummed like a beehive on the verge of swarm—soft jazz coiled like snakes, crystal glasses clinking like shivs, conversations worth more than most people’s souls priced out in hushed tones. Madison and I occupied a corner table, a defensible position with sightlines carved like murder holes across the dining room. Habit etched into bone since Miami: Always know who’s entering. Always know who’s bleeding.
Sofia’s text had been a thorn in my spinal column since yesterday: "Need to talk, Babe." Three words. From a woman who wove emotional tapestries, that was a scream ripped raw.
Post-airport, her worry had curdled in my gut. Knew exactly what this was—her parents flaying her alive over some golden-boy quarterback again, shoving her toward Jack or whatever blue-blooded sociopath they’d paraded on a leash this week.
I knew Sofia’s broken terrain better than most. If I didn’t flay the truth from her, she’d choke on it alone. She was mine. My women’s fears are my enemies. Non-negotiable.
ARIA could’ve spoon-fed me the profile—bank records bleeding red, social media a minefield of familial sabotage, relationship dynamics as clear as blood trails. But Sofia would spill it herself.
So, I’d summoned her. Scheduled this... interrogation. Date. Whatever.
Madison had declared war on coming. Her words still echoed in the hollow of my skull: "I am your queen, and those women are my sisters, and I take care of my sisters. They’re not only the women of my man, but also my family forever... and as their queen, it’s only natural I take care of their worries too."
That possessive ferocity was the razor wire love that had impaled my heart. Madison understood the slaughterhouse rules better than anyone—she’d helped build the killing floor, after all.
"She’s late," Madison observed, knuckles white around her phone for the third time in five minutes. "Sofia’s never late."
"She’ll come," I said , swirling liquid ruby in the glass I’d barely touched. "Probably getting flayed alive over Jack again by her family."
"Speaking of family," Madison continued, eyes narrowed, "I am bringing reinforcements."
One eyebrow arched like a drawn bow.
