Chapter 347: Voice-Fucked?

"But here’s what’s interesting," I said, my voice dropping just slightly—not quite seductive, but... intense. "All of these lawsuits? They could disappear. Today. Complete withdrawal with prejudice, meaning they can never be refiled."

{There’s something in his voice... not flirtation exactly, but something that makes me want to lean closer, to agree to anything he says. Christ, what is wrong with me?}

"You’re proposing a settlement?" Sable asked carefully.

"No." I smiled—just a ghost of one. "I’m proposing a partnership. Quantum Tech needs media coverage for today’s auction of five major tech companies and the next projects, we need the media powerhouse, advertising machine gun. Rivera Next Media needs to rehabilitate its image and prove it wasn’t complicit in Antonio’s schemes. Imagine if all four entities—Quantum Tech, Harvard, Stanford, and Rivera—issued a joint statement about the fact that Antonio acted alone, that the Rivera family were victims of his betrayal."

Sable’s breathing had gone shallow. "That would require the universities to—"

"I hold the subpoena rights," I said simply. "Harvard and Stanford already sold them to me for a nice profit. They’d be happy to participate in a joint statement that makes them look like responsible institutions protecting academic integrity while supporting legitimate business."

ARIA’s voice whispered in my mind: "Master, you’re literally seducing her with corporate strategy. You’re such a hypocrite after claiming this wasn’t about sex."

I ignored her, focusing on Sable.

"You’re leveraging your advantage," Sable said slowly. "This sounds like a threat dressed up as partnership."

"You’re right," I admitted, surprising her. "It does sound like that. But look past the leverage for a moment. See what real partnership could bring."

I leaned back, letting my words hang in the air like smoke. "A few billion in lawsuits? That would only graze the Rivera empire. You could eat that loss and keep moving—wounded, but alive. The lawsuits themselves mean nothing to you in the long run."

Sable’s eyes narrowed slightly, caught between suspicion and intrigue.
