Dawn Walker

Chapter 466: The Seed Disappeared V

Elena felt the chaos energy before anyone came to report it.

She had been inside Dawn House when a powerful presence suddenly entered the edge of her senses. It did not come from anywhere inside Slik City. It came from outside and was moving toward the city at an extremely high speed.

Elena stopped walking.

Her eyes narrowed.

That was not the presence of an ordinary Chaos Rank cultivator.

It was not even a Half-God.

It was a God.

She immediately spread her God Sense outward.

Buildings, streets, people, walls, and the normal activity of Slik City passed beneath her perception as her senses expanded across the city and beyond its outer borders. It only took a moment before she found the source.

Stephen.

Butler Stephen was flying toward Slik City.

Mihos Dawn was with him.

Stephen carried Mihos through the air while moving fast enough that normal cultivators would have barely seen more than a blur crossing the sky. He was not travelling with the slow confidence of a god who had all the time in the world. He was rushing.

That alone made Elena more serious.

Then she looked at Mihos.

Even from this distance, her God Sense could see enough.

His expression was wrong.

Anger.

Urgency.

And something close to fear beneath the anger.

Stephen did not look calm either. The old butler normally carried himself like someone who had seen too much to be surprised by ordinary problems. Now he was using his divine power openly and carrying Mihos directly toward the city instead of entering through one of the normal routes.

Something had happened.

Something important.

Elena immediately searched for their destination.

Their path pointed directly toward Iron House.

Her expression changed.

"Sekhmet."

She knew where he had gone.

He had left Dawn House earlier with Vera, Vela, Mira, and Lily to finish Iron House. Raka and the lesser vampires had surrounded the estate. Elena had not interfered because this was still part of Sekhmet and Mihos’s game. The rules between them had prevented her from simply stepping into every conflict and crushing the other side herself.

But Stephen was different.

Stephen was a God. And not a weak one. Mid-rank God.

Her face became colder.

She was only a low-rank God.

The difference between two God-level beings could be far more dangerous than the difference between ordinary ranks. It was not something that disappeared because both sides had reached the divine level.

If Stephen truly fought her, she would be at a disadvantage.

That did not change what she had to do.

Elena turned sharply.

Several maids nearby immediately stopped what they were doing.

"Gather all the maids."

The nearest maid looked surprised by her tone.

"My lady?"

"All of them. Right now."

Elena was already moving.

"Combat equipment. Full preparation. Come to Iron House immediately."

The maid’s face changed when she heard the location.

"Yes, Lady Elena."

She rushed away.

Another maid moved toward the communication formation while two others ran in different directions through Dawn House. Elena did not wait for them to finish gathering everyone.

There was no time.

She stepped through the entrance of Dawn House and began running.

The first step cracked the stone beneath her feet.

Then she disappeared from the front courtyard.

Elena did not use full divine flight. Slik City was filled with people, buildings, and weaker cultivators. Releasing too much power carelessly while flying through the centre could create its own destruction. Instead, she ran.

Her body crossed streets faster than ordinary eyes could follow.

One moment she was near Dawn House.

The next she was several buildings away.

She jumped across a wide road, landed on the roof of a merchant building, crossed it in two steps, then dropped into another street before immediately accelerating again.

People felt the wind after she had already passed.

Elena kept her God Sense fixed on Iron House.

Stephen had arrived.

The impact reached her senses before the sound reached the surrounding streets.

He had landed directly inside the Iron House courtyard with Mihos.

Elena increased her speed.

"Why is he here himself? We agreed not to interfere in the game."

That was the question that bothered her most.

Mihos had allowed Dickoff and Iron House to act for him. Then he had sent two stronger people when Dickoff began failing. Those two had died.

Stephen had still remained outside the direct conflict.

Until now.

Something had changed enough to bring a mid-rank God personally into Iron House.

Elena remembered Mihos’s expression.

He was not coming there to talk calmly.

If Stephen attacked, the situation could become extremely dangerous very quickly.

Elena clenched her hands while running.

She understood the difference in their strength.

Stephen was a mid-rank God.

She was a low-rank God.

If they fought directly, there was a real possibility she would lose.

That possibility did not frighten her enough to slow her steps.

Sekhmet was Eyra’s son.

She had already watched him walk into danger too many times.

If Stephen tried to kill him, Elena would stand in the way. If she had to fight a stronger God, she would fight. If she had to lose an arm, she would lose it.

If she had to destroy her own god foundation to buy Sekhmet enough time to escape, she would do it.

And if the only way to keep him alive was to die there herself, then Stephen would have to walk over her corpse before he touched Sekhmet.

Elena’s eyes became colder.

"Eyra would probably kill me himself if I let his son die while I was standing nearby."

The thought would have been almost funny under different circumstances.

This was not a different circumstance.

She ran faster.

Meanwhile, inside the Iron House estate, dust from Stephen’s landing was still spreading across the courtyard.

The stones beneath his feet had broken in a wide circle. Several cracks reached all the way toward the mansion steps. Stephen straightened slowly after releasing Mihos from his arm.

Mihos did not care about the damage.

He did not care about the ruined mansion.

He did not care about the guards staring from a distance.

His eyes immediately found Sekhmet.

Sofia and Natasha stood near him.

Their full Half-God power had not been sealed again yet.

Mihos noticed the two women, but even that did not hold his attention for more than a moment.

He walked forward.

"Where is it?"
