"Finally back home."

Chu Xiu let out a long breath as he looked at the familiar surroundings.

The Ghost Cry Stick is powerful, but Chu Xiu wasn’t arrogant enough to think he could kill a demigod ghost with it alone.

After all, the basic attributes had a disparity of several times.

Even after the tribulation, Chu Xiu’s mental attribute was only at the level of a Top Tier Heroic Spirit, still a layer away from a demigod, not to mention that Qingyunzi had been accumulating for two thousand years as a demigod ghost, with mental attributes incredibly strong.

So after the first unsuccessful strike, Chu Xiu didn’t linger and decisively retreated.

As it turned out, his decision was quite wise.

"Those last eight stone steles... did this guy really master part of the Taiyin Treasure Vault’s power?"

Though it was just a quick glance, Chu Xiu still felt the terrifying power atop those eight stone steles, each probably no less than a strike from a strong demigod.

"I’ll have to wait until my power has increased further before I can go back to take a look."

However, Chu Xiu didn’t dwell on it too much. His gains from this trip had already far exceeded his prior expectations, and being too greedy would easily lead to failure.

Chu Xiu decided that next, he would first find the government to use up this year’s exchange quota of Cause and Effect Points and dispose of some of the artifacts from this trip that he didn’t need, ultimately to maximize his battle power.

Then, he would break through to Heroic Spirit and begin Crossing the Tribulation.

"If I succeed in Core Formation... even if I’m still not as strong as a Celestial King, the gap would not be too far," Chu Xiu thought to himself.

With his mind made up, Chu Xiu didn’t delay and prepared to take action.

However, at this moment, he seemed to discover something suddenly, letting out a soft "huh".

In his Awakening Space, there was an ancient altar, the Ancient Altar he had obtained before, and at this moment, items were quietly placed on it.

Chu Xiu quickly recalled, they should have been brought back by the Old Remains he had dispatched earlier.

Previously, he had released his ordinary and elite level Old Remains to collect Aurora’s fragmented soul, but he didn’t know the final result yet.

Chu Xiu casually picked up an item, just a General Tier Perfect Equipment.

"It seems that even if the target items were not found, the Old Remains still brought back a few things," Chu Xiu noted internally.

He swept through them with his divine sense and quickly sorted all the items.

Unfortunately, most were just scattered equipment, and the rarer S-Class Traits and Professions were also just General and King Tier, which would mutate upon fusion and be of no use to Chu Xiu, only good for trading for money.

As for Aurora’s soul fragments, only three were found.

Chu Xiu had sent out dozens altogether.

As he pinched them lightly, the three fragments merged with the previous ones, forming a blurry shadow in front of Chu Xiu.

[Aurora’s Soul (King Tier Legend) (4/7): A soul lost in the Abyss, as the head of Qingyan Base City, led multiple large-scale defense battles and successfully killed a Blood Demon.]

[As one favored by civilization, upon completion will exist in spirit body form, and can gain some civilization traits.]

After integrating the three fragments, additional information appeared.

"Wow, didn’t expect this girl also managed to kill that Blood Demon in the real world," Chu Xiu was a bit surprised but, after pondering for a while, didn’t find it strange.

In the Trial, it was the extremely high difficulty modifier of the Ancient Trials that made the Blood Demon Army so abnormally large.

As for the final civilization traits, they caught Chu Xiu’s eye as well, reminding him of what Zhao Jie had said about the Path to Divinity; even without a Master of Civilization, the Power of Civilization would autonomously gather, perhaps with some of it having gathered in this girl.

After mulling it over in his head, Chu Xiu didn’t think further and initiated his return to Blue Star.

Following his plan, he contacted the Investigation Bureau’s head in Abyss City, arranging to deal with the Cause and Effect Points in the Corpse Demon World fourteen days later, after the cooldown period ended.

He organized the gains from this trip, as well as a large pile of good items acquired from the Murder Ghost before.

Even after consuming six powerful pieces of equipment to cultivate the "Myriad Weapons Storage Technique," three King Tier Legends and seventeen Heroic Spirit Perfect items remained, all of which were highly valuable.

Chu Xiu roughly calculated that just the materials and equipment obtained from the Hundred Ghosts Melting Furnace were enough to exchange for the needed three million Cause and Effect Points, given that the exchange price was only about a third of the normal trading value.

And there were still plenty left over.

Chu Xiu decided to keep the High Tier Equipment for now, but all the unusable but highly sought-after items were put up for auction to trade for Cause and Effect Points.

Those that weren’t in demand and no one would use Cause and Effect Points to purchase, he sold to convert into Huaxia Coins.

While Huaxia Coins aren’t much favored in high-tier awakened trades, they can still purchase large quantities of high-tech weapons from the military, perfect for arming the Titan Giant Mechanism.

With his plan set, Chu Xiu quickly set things into motion.

The process was quite smooth, with auction items valued at approximately 1.5 million Cause and Effect Points selling half within two short weeks, and Huaxia Coins yielding over 100 billion directly into the account.

The government transactions also went off without a hitch, with over three million Cause and Effect Points successfully acquired.

As such, Chu Xiu’s total Cause and Effect Points were restored to nearly seven million.

"Seven million Cause and Effect Points, even among demigod awakened, there aren’t many this wealthy," Chu Xiu marveled.
