Edrick scratched his nose for a few moments before bringing one hand to his chin.
“So… Am I led to believe that this is normal?”
“Of course! Were you expecting it to work as if I were a normal woman?”
“I was indeed expecting that to be the case, since you were visibly pregnant and all”
“I didn’t know how exactly it would turn out, but I was expecting something unusual. I am the realm in person, after all!”
“You know, now that you say it like that... It makes sense. I should have seen this coming, but it is nonetheless quite odd”
Anoteros and Eltysia were standing on the roof of the now-fully-renovated pale-red temple. Crimonia was a few steps to the side, acting like a bodyguard even though it was fully unnecessary…
Rather than giving birth like normal, when the time had come for Eltysia’s offspring to be born, her swollen stomach had vanished out of thin air, and across the realm, beings of varying apparent ages just manifested. Edrick had truly impregnated the realm itself, and not just her avatar.
In the blink of an eye, the lost species of the past were reborn.
Several communities of Undersky Elves appeared in the Great Plains, and without question, they began living their lives. Already being in the throes of building villages and ploughing the fields as they had done back when they were the main intelligent species. They were impressively efficient in this regard.
They had quickly managed to get their hands on stone tools, but they were already making moves to upgrade to Tarkin White Iron. It seemed to be in their instincts to do so.
Of course, they weren’t the only ones to be reborn…
The Underblood elves also made a triumphant return, but instead of starting from scratch, they headed for the remaining temples they had built in their time, beginning to clean and renovate them.
Unlike the Undersky Elves who dressed like typical peasants and farmers, the Underblood Elves wore very simple, if not tribalistic clothing. They basically only covered the most important bits.
Though that was still better than the Baumsaftgars. A few small groups of them had been spawned as well, and they didn’t seem to care much about clothes. Instead, they were more interested in establishing camp, hunting, and reproducing.
Only a few Underwood Elves appeared as a result of all of this, and no Blutgar manifested at all. Though there was no reason why it couldn’t be possible, it was certainly merely a matter of chance.
“Although they are a direct result of our union, they aren’t really related to us. Not in the typical sense, at least. They are all unique beings, so there won’t be any issue if they reproduce amongst themselves… Do you know what this means?”
“That we restarted ancient civilisations?”
“Exactly! Isn’t it great?”
Edrick smiled slightly.
“It is”
This represented additional manpower and additional boons. In particular, the Undersky Elves would definitely prove instrumental in boosting plant and crop growth.
The Baumsaftgars would be of great help in hunting beasts of the Great Plains, and while Edrick didn’t quite see yet how Underblood Elves could fit in with his business ventures, their presence was nonetheless welcome.
Alongside these lost species, many additional beasts were also spawned. Furthermore, ore deposits and the like seemed to have received a sudden boost as well. This meant that the realm was truly an infinite resource. He just needed to keep Eltysia pregnant, and every time she would ‘give birth’, the entire realm would suddenly be struck by a wave of flourishing.
…But that wasn’t even the most interesting part of the whole ordeal…
Eltysia led her husband to the border of the realm–At least, where it used to be.
The Great Plains had grown in size quite noticeably. Edrick himself might not have realised it immediately, but with his secret wife bringing him to the exact spot the strange desert had once begun, it was quite obvious that the realm had grown in size as a result of what had happened.
‘I truly hit the jackpot, didn’t I?’
He grasped Eltysia’s enormous backside, slapping it in praise of his wife before they mated like savages directly on the grass of the realm’s new territory. Without hesitation, Anoteros shot loads after loads inside of Eltysia’s womb, impregnating her once more as she asked for it repeatedly.
To her, this was the singular best thing that had happened to her in a very long time. For a being like herself, seeing the realm–Which was also herself–Be able to grow once more after countless decades, if not centuries of stagnation, was incredible. That was without mentioning the fact that she could actually create life once more.
This first time had been a bit messy, but Eltysia could feel that she could control it somewhat… A few more times, and she might just be able to closely influence what would be born from her, and perhaps that if she expanded more, she would even be able to create new lifeforms, like in the past.
…She didn’t count on it, though...
Oddly enough, she felt very satisfied with what was currently happening as a result of her and Edrick’s union. After so long, she had not only managed to find a compatible male, but she had found a man worthy of being her god-consort.
The thought of bearing his seed over and over again filled her with a kind of joy she had never experienced before. As they mated out in the open, Eltysia felt as if she had truly found her purpose.
As a realm bursting with life, she should be an icon of fertility, and thanks to Anoteros, she truly fell right into this role.
She felt him unleash another torrent deep within her... He emitted a low grunt and leaned forward, caressing his secret wife’s face.
“Good girl… We’ll see how far we can take this realm together”
“Yes, Edrick…”
Following this act of affection out in the open, the two of them spent a while visiting each of the new groups of sapient beings. Although calling the Baumsaftgars ‘sapient’ was a bit of a stretch... They were definitely quite smart, but they were closer to intelligent beasts than people.
Edrick didn’t yet know their language, but Eltysia told him that it was rather simplistic–Being basically the cliché of caveman speech. So they were definitely smarter than the average wild creatures, but relied a lot on vibes and instinct to make decisions and such.
They were nonetheless obedient and in utter awe of him and his wife, so they knew how to recognise their superior, which was good.
Anoteros didn’t know any of the languages spoken by the newcomers, but their tongues had been made by Eltysia and shared a lot of similarities with the tongue of the Underwood Elves.
The Undersky Elves were very down-to-earth and jolly. When told that they would be expected to farm hard, they were actually overjoyed. Farming was basically the purpose of their entire existence. They did very little apart from cultivating the ground and growing stuff.
Meanwhile, the Underblood Elves were in immediate worship and wanted to sacrifice something for their divinities. However, Eltysia was able to quickly calm them down.
They were all quite different, but they were simple and easy to understand. Ruling over them wouldn’t be a complicated matter.
Not in the least.
