Whilst Xiaolie was enjoying herself witnessing fictional cliches come to life right in front of her eyes, Edrick and Chang were still in the midst of hanging out between men. After having fought some enemies of the nation and pounded cute Foppoofs together, it was time for the third most popular masculine activity: 

Getting dead drunk.

It wasn’t easy for cultivators of their calibre to feel the effects of alcohol. Both had powerful bodies that had long since left basic human limits behind, but when it came to handling a massive amount of alcohol, Anoteros held several advantages. Not only had his organs been enhanced thanks to past rewards, but his great frame was a natural advantage.

In his former world, he remembered how a famous wrestler had been able to drink insane quantities of alcohol thanks to his impressively large body. The alcohol simply hadn't been powerful enough to get to him. Now, Anoteros was much in the same position, but with the benefits given to him by his cultivation.

The bar owner didn’t know whether to be worried or thankful as the two cultivators went through his stock with speed he never even thought possible.

Anoteros was straight up drinking directly from the barrels… The bar owner was even certain that he had seen him drink one in a single go, which was simply mind-numbing. Even if he was a cultivator, surely his stomach would overflow at one point, shouldn’t it?

Chang Sheng was already feeling the weight of his over-consumption dawn on him.

‘Golden Purge’

He cheated a little bit by using a technique used to clear toxins and the like from his body, so that he could at least keep his clarity and avoid making a fool out of himself. He was the candidate sword saint, after all. He couldn’t afford to do anything that could put a stain on his reputation.

Somehow, he hadn’t noticed when or how, but Edrick had invited the only two waitresses of the bar to their table. They were currently leaning on him, already out of it due to the alcohol.

“Aaah… So you’re telling me that you never got wasted before?”

“No. I’ve drunk a few glasses of wine at most”

“What a shame. There is something quite exciting about getting drunk with some girls, and waking up without knowing how many you pounded”

“I… I think that’s not really something I would like”

“Suit yourself, Chang. On my end, I’ll be cleaning the pipes of these two nice ladies”

Somehow, once Edrick was done with the two waitresses, he decided to drink even more, to the point where Chang Sheng had to actually help him get back to his residence by the end of it.

“Man… It’s been a while since I drank this much”

“I would assume so, Edrick. The bar owner literally had nothing more to serve”

Though the man didn’t feel too bad about it. Anoteros had been as generous as ever and paid him ten whole Silver Leyens. It was mere pocket money to him, but to a random man who owned a single small business, it was a fortune that would be carried on to the next generation, and perhaps even beyond…

Edrick awoke in an unusual way when the morning rose. His body was still used to forcing him awake at this hour, however. It had been a very long time since he had had a headache like this. Usually, his head would hurt only when he pushed too hard while cultivating, but for once, it was because he had gone too hard on the drinks.

“Mmh… Oh…”

As should be expected for a drunken Anoteros, he had most definitely bedded his wives, as everyone was sprawled over him, stark naked. The smell of sweat was quite strong, and of course, the fact that they weren’t showing signs of waking up any time soon was a dead giveaway that they had been tired out before bed.

‘I’ll have to be careful when drinking in the future…’

Things must have gotten wild, as there weren’t only his wives in the room, but maids as well… Extending his senses, he realised that his trail of lust was all over the residence.

‘Actwin’

Yes?

‘How many?’

All of them. Without exception. All three pits as well

‘Damn’

As he used his senses, he soon realised that he had messed up somewhere else as well…

‘It was going to happen anyway, so it isn’t a big deal’

Edrick sighed. He should have held back on the drinking. He really overdid it this time.

…Luckily, only Luxuli seemed to have had his seed planted inside of her. 

‘Where did Chang go, though?’ 

Anoteros couldn’t sense the Sheng scion’s presence at all.

I remember. He must have sensed that things would turn into a massive orgy inside your residence, so he excused himself and decided to go ask for a temporary room at the main building of the Elt clan for the night

‘Makes sense…’

As Edrick meditated to clear away the headache, a soft knock came at the door of his bedchambers.

“Come in, Shu”

He could sense that it was his Business Maid. She looked nearly the same as usual, but her shaky steps showed clearly that she had been taken care of last night as well.

“Master, Mister Langxiong has sent a message back to us. After two weeks of playing cat and mouse, Linfeng has finally managed to obtain the last ingredient he needed”

“The last one? How do we know he doesn’t need any more?”

“Mister Langxiong stated that Linfeng screamed as much when he finally felled the beast he was after”

“How foolish… Then it seems like I might have a good fight coming up. Tell Langxiong to keep tailing the trio for now. Linfeng will certainly want to hide himself as he powers up and gets used to his new strength. If he comes at me immediately afterwards, it is good. But if not… I know how to make sure he comes without delay”

His headache faded away. It seemed like he was going to shatter a new script soon… He had left this one in the oven for a while.
