“Mmh… Yes, I can smell it nearby…”

As if she were some sort of bloodhound, Yen'mila was crawling on the ground, smelling the grass and soil whilst sticking her backside up in the air, swinging her lower body from left to right… She obviously didn’t need to be doing any of this to find the trace of the Banana Bat, which she had caught the presence of.

This was nothing more than a display of yearning for some ‘action’ with Linfeng.

“Listen… I know we haven’t been doing much in the past few days, but once I get all of the ingredients, I can guarantee that we’ll be busy for a while, alright? We’ll have a lot of time to have sex together”

Yen'mila stood up with a pout.

“Here I was hoping that you would take me from behind as if we were two wild, horny beasts… Don’t go back on your word, you hear me? Once you have that pill or whatever, I’ll drain you until you can’t move, right, Mala?”

“I agree with the plant bitch for once–I mean… Oh fuck it. I need to get dicked down too, damn it!”

“Can you believe that? Even Mister Pretend over there is saying it in plain terms. That fat cock of yours is just too good and addictive, Linfeng~ You can’t just forget about your bitches when you’ve made us get used to getting it daily…”

It wasn’t that Linfeng was against bedding them right there and then, but their activities had been slowing them down way too much, and Linfeng would rather be out of here as quickly as possible. Any minute they spent here was time during which they could run into a dangerous creature.

Defeating the old Raging Bull might have seemed easy, but it was only due to careful planning and the appropriate use of a surprise attack, and as if a thread of fate was guiding Linfeng and his group, they got extremely lucky once more…

The old Raging Bull had been a rare individual of its species, and the same was true for the Banana Bat that Yen'mila eventually led the group to. The typical Banana Bat is actually quite small, fitting in the hand of the average man. It was coloured a bright yellow, and as the name implied, it had a tendency to hide amidst the bananas growing upon a banana tree.

These trees weren’t too uncommon, but they tended to be solitary, making finding Banana Bats a challenge most of the time, but Linfeng was lucky to have Yen'mila helping him, who could easily sense the presence of these elusive creatures and lead him straight to one.

“Damn, this bat is fucking huge”

Its body was as wide as Linfeng’s chest, and if it were to unfurl its wings, it would definitely reveal a wingspan of incredible size. Much like most bats, its face looked like it had been flattened with the help of a pan, but it was currently sleeping upside down, hanging from a branch.

Naturally, it was unable to hide amidst the bananas of the nearby tree due to its abnormal size, but even then, it seemed suspiciously comfortable with sleeping with its head nearly touching the ground. It was quite clear that it didn’t feel in danger in the area, indicating that it held this territory.

Although their unusual nesting habits meant that all Banana Bats lived in a territory, they weren’t supposed to be territorial. As long as their tree was left alone, they wouldn’t care about other creatures in the surroundings, but it was clear that this one had run out of everything that could possibly threaten its slumber.

‘...Or maybe its sleep is very faint… It might awaken at the slightest disturbance’

Linfeng rubbed his chin in thought. He felt like sneaking up on this beast would be more difficult than with the Raging Bull. Moreover, it was only sleeping because it was daytime. Banana Bats only flew to eat at night, and they had access to echolocation.

Once this creature woke up, it was very likely that it would immediately notice the trio.

They kept their distance for now, trying to think of a plan to take down the abnormally large specimen.

“Can’t we just sneak attack it again?”

“I don’t think so, Mala. Banana Bats will wake for the smallest of things, and this one? I bet it’s even worse”

Mala and Yen'mila exchanged a few words.

“...As big as it is, its wings are flimsy, and I doubt it can take my punches. Moreover, bats are awkward on the ground, so… Do you two have any ideas as to how we could force it to stay on the ground and not fly off?”

“Ooh… I see! That’s easy, big guy. You just need to drench it in water. It won’t be able to take flight quickly, so as long as you keep attacking it, it won’t be able to do jackshit”

Linfeng nodded, but there was a problem with this idea.

“We’ll need to really get it completely soaked, and we don’t have access to water beyond what we have in our gourds”

“Don’t be silly, I wouldn’t mention the idea if I couldn’t do it”

Yen'mila crossed her arms with a smug smile, making Mala raise an eyebrow.

“Can you create water or something?”

“Of course not, you silly twink! But I can drain the water from the surrounding nature just fine. Give me a bit of time, and this bat will think it's drowning for a few moments!”

The plant cultivator winked as she immediately went to work, placing her palms against the ground as her green veins began to brighten, indicative that she was using her inner nature energy.

Mala once again had nothing to do apart from being a cheerleader.

Meanwhile, Linfeng got as close to the Banana Bat as he deemed possible without risking alerting it, and he waited for the signal to attack…

…Said signal came in the form of dozens of trees suddenly bursting with water, whilst the grass and plants withered away as all of their hydration was robbed from them. In the blink of an eye, the bat was awoken, struck from several directions by powerful surges of water, which made it tumble down from its branch.

The beast was confused and disoriented, the strong jets of water preventing it from even properly spreading its wings, but this was the least of its problems as Linfeng rushed through the water, jumping on the Banana Bat’s back, bearing his full weight upon the creature.

He wasn’t going to miss his chance.
