The chaos of the three timelines has significantly reduced the harm the temple wars inflicted on the Main World. Indeed, as material conflicts emerged, inevitable wars broke out between various nations, even though they collectively faced threats from the Imperial Timeline.
"They really are diligent, aren’t they? In just a short time, their notoriety has spread throughout the world."
Veronia glanced at Feng Yuan with a peculiar expression and said. The actions of Shi and Xilnais were naturally known to him. However, these two were frequently mentioned by the Divine Beasts. Without Feng Yuan setting restrictions, they would have snatched most of the materials.
Feng Yuan chuckled without retorting, after all, he knew exactly how much material they had plundered. Even though those items didn’t directly end up in Great Xia’s possession, when it came to distribution, the bias would always lean towards Great Xia.
The United Army used this to boost their cohesion at least, for the Alliance, it was a dangerous sign compared to the Divine Beast Hall. This relatively loose organization, if faced with the same predicament as the Divine Beast Hall, would likely perform worse.
Ultimately, as a group formed by former noble factions, it retained considerable power belonging to the Divine Beast Hall. In contrast, the Alliance derived its strength from the involved nations, despite being backed by the Divine Beasts, they couldn’t act like thugs for everything.
The United Army’s actions pushed some countries within the Alliance closer to the Divine Beast Hall. However, due to the inherent military power of the Divine Beast Hall, these nations couldn’t easily associate with it. Yet, for the Alliance, this was a very dangerous sign.
As participating countries decreased, the Alliance’s strength noticeably declined, let alone if these countries joined the Divine Beast Hall, which would significantly increase its power.
To address this, they contemplated numerous remedial measures, yet due to system differences, they found no effective solutions.
The Alliance’s capacity to gather nearly all participating nations was closely tied to its loose system, unlike the Divine Beast Hall. Even now, the countries involved in the United Army showed goodwill towards the Divine Beast Hall.
Fortunately, this cohesion mainly concentrated on the United Army. Despite the Divine Beast Hall initiating the United Army, it couldn’t control its movements.
Of course, they wouldn’t attempt such actions, as the United Army genuinely battled the Imperial Timeline, reckless command would only lead to unnecessary losses and internal division.
In the chaos of the temple wars, the Divine Beast Hall could restrain the United Army’s countries from engaging in internal conflicts on this front. As for the Alliance, it was utterly powerless, their initiatives were only carried out by the United Army participating countries, not that it was highly relevant to the Alliance, just that both sides shared mutual goals.
The non-participants of the United Army frantically fought over those materials, although due to Feng Yuan summoning Shi and Xilnais to disrupt, the wars among nations didn’t escalate further.
After all, their goal was to snatch materials, if a victory could be decided swiftly, Shi and Xilnais might not reach in time, but if it turned into prolonged battles, they would unceremoniously accept those materials.
Regarding this internal strife, many Divine Beasts were unhappy, hence, they couldn’t get assistance from behind-the-scenes Divine Beasts, and even if they did, it was futile.
Shi and Xilnais were one rank higher than Divine Beasts; furthermore, most supporting Divine Beasts were not top-level, thus weren’t capable of opposing them.
"We’re nearly at the city boundary; let’s change direction and see if we can find more materials."
After glancing at the mobile map, Feng Yuan said. Although ahead was still desolate, trackless mountains, according to the map, that direction belonged to another city’s territory.
"Are you actually dutifully abiding by Maomu City’s boundaries to collect materials?"
Veronia looked at Feng Yuan in surprise, to which he rolled his eyes and said irritably.
"Otherwise? I’m very obedient, okay."
"I don’t think so; at least sending them to snatch materials doesn’t count as being obedient."
"Humph~"
Feng Yuan turned his back, unwilling to argue with Veronia. After resting, the group changed direction and continued their journey. After walking for a short while, Feng Yuan suddenly stopped everyone and said.
"Tamur, please initiate Mythical Transformation and others prepare for a positional battle."
Before Feng Yuan spoke, Veronia had already summoned the Crystal Shine Dragon. Although Qi Chen initially didn’t react, Ah Mu and others were quick, as Hao Chun Bird found an open spot beside them, deploying the Forest Domain and using Mythical Transformation to establish a position.
"Anti-Divine Beast Twisted Dunaby, a Fate Series Anti-Divine Beast, without Mythical Transformation to counteract, destiny’s twists would outright eliminate ultimate moves."
Staring at the translucent giant white Big Cat off in the distance, Feng Yuan calmly explained. Superior attributes like fate were rare; Spirit Beasts with these attributes were fewer than those with time and space. Nonetheless, it didn’t mean Fate Series possessed overwhelming destructive power.
To Feng Yuan, Fate Series’ direct damage surpasses neither Time nor Space, but correspondingly, Fate Series’ attacks were more complex, hard to defend against and absurdly adept at dodging attacks.
Dunaby as a Fate Series Anti-Divine Beast naturally had all Fate features, ultimate move elimination was its forte. Rather than erasure, it was destiny’s guidance causing ultimate moves to fail or miss.
Compared to Time Series directly erasing from the time plane, Fate Series methods seemed less dominant, yet identical power, in Fate Series hands, disrupted higher rank ultimate moves, as guidance was less energy-consuming than elimination.
"Only Divine Beast’s Power can counter it?"
Veronia asked Feng Yuan, seeking confirmation. He knew little about Anti-Divine Beasts, these weren’t typically within standard records. Even now, most Divine Beasts had limited knowledge on them.
Yet Veronia knew Feng Yuan must understand these creatures thoroughly.
"Not necessarily, Mythic Power or odd elements also work; those equivalents to Divine Beast’s Power only power stronger than Divine Beast’s Power can exempt their interference; otherwise, it’s ineffective against them."
Feng Yuan contemplated and loudly explained, not only informing Veronia but others too, else they wouldn’t know why he was shouting.
Predictably, others didn’t fully understand Feng Yuan’s command. Upon hearing, their hearts skipped a beat, some already contemplated how troublesome these would be.
If not for Feng Yuan leading, encountering such creatures might’ve been disastrous for other teams.
"Sounds like it’s stronger than Bemod-based entities, though, does it truly have such strength?"
Veronia snorted lightly and took the initiative; Feng Yuan chuckled wryly, preparing to follow Veronia in pursuit of Dunaby when an ominous feeling suddenly halted him, vigilant his gaze swept the surroundings.
This was his own power warning him. Clearly, this time, the Imperial People seemed highly prepared.
Opting to remain stationary, Feng Yuan abandoned intentions to support Veronia. Although Dunaby’s capability wasn’t weak, its defensive and accuracy-oriented abilities meant its conventional attack force wasn’t formidable.
Its defense formed an opportunistic strategy, the consequence being that facing Veronia’s Divine Beasts, its performance might indeed not be better than Twisted Bemod-based entities.
Nevertheless, against ordinary Beastmasters or even Holy Beast-level Beastmasters, it wielded nearly overwhelming power, as Fate Series skills were excessively unreasonable.
"Feng Yuan, what’s up?"
Qi Chen, noticing Feng Yuan’s unusual state, asked with confusion. Traditionally, Feng Yuan would join Veronia, rather than idly inspecting the surroundings.
"I have an uneasy premonition; perhaps, this enemy is not so simple."
Feng Yuan spoke while scanning for potential threats. Unfortunately, that threat hid well, no signs exposing its presence.
