Divine Beast Creator

Chapter 2534 - 2535: Nighttime Assault

Although Feng Yuan did not delve into the possibility of a third time stream, Veronia still informed Agunas of this news. In its view, if true, it’s really not good news.

Qi Chen looked questioningly at War Qichen, who inexplicably slowed his pace and even called to them, which made them naturally separate from Feng Yuan. If it weren’t for the fact that the other party had been in Feng Yuan’s sight before, Qi Chen would have thought he was switched by someone.

"Is there something?"

Seeing the other party remain silent, Qi Chen couldn’t help but ask. War Qichen glanced at Qi Chen and then turned to Dou Yanlan, saying

"You should realize what Feng Yuan hasn’t said, what exactly it is."

"Hmm, he should be suspecting the existence of a third world."

Dou Yanlan nodded in agreement. Feng Yuan deliberately left so many clues; how could she not think of it? But precisely because she thought of it, she felt surprised. It’s worth noting that both the Imperial Timeline and the War Timeline have already brought so much trouble to the Main World. If there were another world, what would the future become?

"The third world?!"

Qi Chen looked at the two with shock, only to find that neither showed any surprise. After a moment, Qi Chen scratched his head awkwardly and said

"You guys already thought of this possibility?"

"No, but, it’s inevitable because he already mentioned it before. I just didn’t expect it to come so quickly."

Dou Yanlan shook her head slightly, and War Qichen took a deep breath as he gazed at the sky, saying

"He’s probably suspecting that in the third world, we’re just... but what kind of world would that be?"

"Dual personality switching? Perhaps it would be such a world?"

After pondering, Dou Yanlan spoke. They completely had no understanding of the possible third world and could only speculate based on existing information. The only thing they could be sure of was that the other party probably didn’t possess something like the Anti-Divine Beast Rune.

Even though Feng Yuan didn’t tell them, based on prior understanding, they could infer that the Anti-Divine Beast Rune was something that a single time stream could not fully grasp, let alone the fact that the other party mastered a strange space that could secretly extend to the main timeline.

Even Feng Yuan couldn’t understand this strange space, but it’s certain that the thing is comparable to the Anti-Divine Beast Rune, and that time stream could still master the Anti-Divine Beast Rune on top of having it?

They didn’t believe it. Even if Feng Yuan didn’t say it, they understood that the powers a time stream could grasp had limits, and that limit should be relatively fair.

"A world of multiple personalities? Really wonder what that would be like."

War Qichen seemed amused by Dou Yanlan’s words. To be honest, he felt this possibility was unlikely, but when deducing backwards from Veronia’s transformation, it seemed more fitting with reality.

Could it really be that the time stream was full of those monsters they encountered in the special space? No matter how you think about it, that seems too... strange.

As night fell, everyone had already gone to sleep. In the dreams, Qi Chen felt as though he had entered a special space, with the space blurry and the distance shrouded in darkness.

"This is... where? No, wasn’t I sleeping?"

Qi Chen looked at his clothes in confusion. Although he had changed outfits, there was no sense of discord. No, more than that, he clearly perceived he was dreaming, yet couldn’t awaken. There was even a feeling of being trapped in Dream Space.

"Is there anyone?!"

Hesitating slightly, Qi Chen shouted loudly, calling out while moving forward. He attempted to summon Ah Mu’s power, only to find he couldn’t do it.

The surrounding white mist gradually thickened, and after a long while, Qi Chen gave up shouting. The space remained silent, like a vast cage. Despite this feeling, Qi Chen wasn’t overly worried.

Worry and fear wouldn’t solve anything, especially considering the chaotic matters he had experienced with Feng Yuan. The dream captivity was nothing by comparison.

Even though Qi Chen didn’t know who was doing this or why, he still realized that he was trapped in a special Dream Space.

The only sounds in his ears were his breathing and footsteps. Qi Chen wandered aimlessly, and just as he thought the white mist would persist until others discovered his unusual state, the thick fog gradually dissipated.

The surroundings changed somehow, with towering buildings rising. Qi Chen found himself standing on a sidewalk, with a mysterious familiarity to the tall buildings around him, yet unable to recall where he had seen them before.

The pedestrians on the street walked briskly. When Qi Chen tried to see their faces clearly, he found he couldn’t make out their features; he couldn’t even discern whether they had eyes or mouths. Despite no visible obstruction, he couldn’t see their true faces.

"Where on earth is this?"

Mumbling softly, Qi Chen slowly advanced along the sidewalk. At that moment, a strange bell sound echoed, making Qi Chen feel an intense headache, forcing him to clutch his head and squat down.

War Qichen suspiciously scanned the surroundings. He attempted to summon his Beast Tamer but unsurprisingly failed. Not only that, he couldn’t even borrow the powers of the Beast Tamer.

"Dream Space? Ha! Such a unique power, aren’t you afraid of being seen as the highest threat?"

With a cold laugh, War Qichen wasn’t at all worried about safety. To him, life wasn’t that precious; as long as it was meaningful, as long as it honored them, that’s enough.

"I want to see what exactly you plan to do."

Relying on his will, War Qichen forcibly seized a small amount of authority from the Dream Space, condensing it into a war staff. The dark red staff was gripped by War Qichen, seemingly poised to deliver a thunderous blow to any invading foe.

Mist spread, and War Qichen coldly smiled as he swung the staff. Perhaps fear caused the mist to retreat actively. Gazing at the familiar yet strange city, War Qichen coldly spoke

"Maomu City? Or should I say, this is the Maomu City of your world? So what?"

Brandishing the war staff, War Qichen fiercely struck ahead, as space shattered like glass. Watching the gradually breaking Dream Space, War Qichen said indifferently

"I can’t pity you, just as I can’t forgive myself. Moreover, your attack on him would surely upset her. Even now, you don’t dare show yourself? An alternate timeline’s me, no, accurately, an alternate timeline’s him."

Until he fully awoke, War Qichen never saw what he wanted to see. Opening his eyes, War Qichen glanced out the window; it was still nighttime, though the night wasn’t peaceful.

"Able to manipulate even dreams? That world’s me is terrifying indeed."

Muttering softly, War Qichen had no intention to continue resting because he sensed that apart from Big Cat and the others, there were no other presences in the villa. Feng Yuan was probably already looking for Qi Chen.

Stretching his hand and gazing at his palm, War Qichen wasn’t sure if he had just seized the authority of the dream using his will or if Feng Yuan had already intervened, allowing him to seize it.

"Though I’m used to it, it truly is..."

Sighing softly, War Qichen rose, donned a coat, and headed for the door. To learn more, Feng Yuan was likely key, though he hadn’t returned yet.

In the boundless fog, Dou Yanlan stood frozen as though terrified, yet beneath the facade of fear, she was thinking intensely about how to escape.

Like Qi Chen and the others, Dou Yanlan realized immediately that she was trapped within the dream.

Cotton and the others didn’t possess the ability to interfere with dreams. The one capable of rescuing her was likely only Feng Yuan. All she needed to do was to stabilize the situation before Feng Yuan arrived.

At the very least, don’t act recklessly and cause trouble. Indeed, if possible, limited investigation wasn’t inappropriate; it may even be essential.

Dou Yanlan was also eager to know what the Qi Chen of the third timeline was like and why he targeted her from another timeline.

As the mist thinned, revealing a lush lawn, Dou Yanlan hesitated before following the pathway intentionally revealed by the fog. Within this Dream Space, one area remained lightly misted, significantly contrasting with the surrounding mist walls.

Slowly advancing, Dou Yanlan sensed a presence ahead, and she even felt that ahead might be that fishpond.

However, at that moment, an eerie bell sound resonated. Struggling against the headache, Dou Yanlan wanted to run forward, but unfortunately, everything around her warped continuously. In a short while, the warped environment failed to sustain itself and completely collapsed.

Suddenly opening her eyes, Dou Yanlan awoke from the Nightmare.
