Divine Beast Creator

Chapter 2590 - 2591: Another Challenge

Not surprisingly, the Qi Realm Corridor disappeared shortly after Feng Yuan’s estimated time, and similarly, the monsters inside that had not yet been eliminated, along with the personnel still lingering in the Qi Realm Corridor, randomly appeared all over Qi Hua City.

Watching the last trace of connection between Qi Hua City and the Qi Realm vanish, Feng Yuan sighed, not caring about the major event of the first successful elimination of calamity, as it had nothing to do with them. He initially thought the Soul Projection would act again during this period, but the result was disappointing.

For some unknown reason, at least in these few days, they hadn’t encountered Qi Realm Dou Yanlan’s Soul Projection again. Now that the connection between the Qi Realm and the Main World had disappeared, Feng Yuan believed the possibility of the other party appearing again was slim. After all, they had been in the Qi Realm for so many days and had never seen an example of Soul Projection appearing before Qi Realm Dou Yanlan besides calamity.

Was that guy avoiding Qi Realm Dou Yanlan? It’s possible, but while they were in the Qi Realm, they didn’t see the other party attacking Qi Chen and the others either. Even if Qi Chen was under Tamur’s protection at the time, she wouldn’t completely avoid probing, would she?

"What’s wrong, you seem very unhappy."

Veronia curiously asked Feng Yuan, as his gloomy face starkly contrasted with the cheering crowds around. If it weren’t known that Feng Yuan didn’t care about the Qi Realm Timeline matters, he might have thought they were celebrating Feng Yuan’s failure.

"No, I just thought her projection would appear again, but..."

Turning to look at Qi Chen and the others, Feng Yuan was visibly depressed, as Veronia couldn’t understand, until Tamur spoke

"Are you worried that failing to catch her will keep you constrained here?"

"Yes, the situation on the Main World side is not very good, and we can’t get news from the Main World while we’re here. If something unexpected happens during this period, it would be quite bad."

Nodding slightly, Feng Yuan spoke with a hint of worry, knowing that although the Main World had a group of Divine Beasts for protection, it didn’t mean the Main World was completely secure. Before they left, the turmoil caused by the Temple hadn’t subsided, plus the war timeline, the Main World situation wasn’t very good.

Large-scale war could break out at any time; even if there were Divine Beasts present, unforeseen circumstances couldn’t be ruled out.

In such times, if Feng Yuan wasn’t there, although it wouldn’t be impossible for them to manage, this world wouldn’t necessarily fall into chaos without Feng Yuan; it would just suffer higher casualties. Feng Yuan’s role was never to save from disaster, but rather to prevent the expansion of casualties caused by events.

"If you’re really worried about them, it’s not impossible to go back now. Since you know a lot about the Qi Realm, I don’t believe you won’t find a way."

Veronia laughed lightly, saying Feng Yuan intended to completely resolve the attacks from the Soul Projection on Qi Chen and the others, not knowing who was behind them earlier, and how to avoid them. This time it was different.

They already knew who was behind the attacks, and had some understanding of the Qi Realm. Before, knowing nothing made it impossible to deal with, but at least now they have some intelligence, making dealing with Qi Realm Dou Yanlan’s Soul Projection less difficult than before.

"Hmm, forget it, even if I return, I’ll still be thinking about the situation here. Better to deal with things here first."

After a serious thought, Feng Yuan spoke. After all, leaving things unresolved here always left him uneasy, and as for returning to the Main World, at least for now, Feng Yuan didn’t plan to do so.

Going back and forth is quite troublesome, not to mention Feng Yuan feels they aren’t likely to stir up any significant trouble in such a short time.

Leisure time is always short, as Feng Yuan and the others thought nothing would happen temporarily when Qi Realm Dou Yanlan’s Soul Projection struck hard again.

The Crimson Flesh Tower stood centered in Qi Hua City at its eight corners, and in the sky, a massive Flesh Labyrinth floated in the sky. This was the Soul Projection of Qi Realm Dou Yanlan giving a challenge to the masses. Although the opponent didn’t say what would happen if Qi Chen and the others didn’t go in, no one believed it would be good.

Though there were complaints that Feng Yuan’s group brought calamity, everyone understood that given the intelligence the opponent provided, the real problem was actually amongst themselves or rather, Qi Realm Dou Yanlan.

The root came from her Soul Projection. Those people only came because of attacks from the Soul Projection. With this realization, they urgently halted all tools and equipment related to the Qi Realm.

Especially those items made with materials from the Qi Realm, were treated as sources of pollution, although the truth was exactly so.

"Ready?"

Looking at Qi Realm Dou Yanlan dressed sharply, Feng Yuan asked, knowing this group didn’t need preparation or rather had nothing to prepare. Since they weren’t in their own world, there weren’t many belongings to count on.

"Yes, this time, I’m sorry."

Nodding, Qi Realm Dou Yanlan spoke with an apology. Smiling, Feng Yuan looked at Qi Chen and the others, and said

"Don’t say that to me, also, I feel this matter might be quite complex, at least not simple. But for now, let’s resolve the existing dilemma. This labyrinth... she’s quite a troublemaker."

Gazing at the massive Flesh Labyrinth in the sky, Feng Yuan couldn’t help but exclaim, as the thing even blocked the sunlight shining on Qi Hua City, and though the entrance was quite obvious, the others dared not approach that area.

After all, Qi Realm Dou Yanlan’s Soul Projection wasn’t challenging solely Feng Yuan’s group, but announced it to everyone in the region.

The power of the Qi Realm was fully revealed to the world for the first time, forcing them to shift their focus from the suddenly realized Time River back to the Qi Realm within the world.

Or rather, the power displayed by the Qi Realm terrified them, while simultaneously gaining some recognition for Qi Realm Dou Yanlan’s actions. To confront such power, a foe not easily provoked.

"Bai You, you..."

"Are leaving a comrade in unfamiliar territories, are you serious?"

Before War Qi Chen could finish speaking, Bai You coldly intervened, pausing for a moment, War Qi Chen said

"But it might be very dangerous there."

"So what? Staying alone in unfamiliar lands, do you think it’s safe? Moreover... do you believe she’ll spare me?"

Looking up at the Flesh Labyrinth in the sky, Bai You spoke quietly, not believing her appearance here was coincidental. What exactly was that guy planning?

Ultimately, War Qi Chen gave up persuading, of course, it was related to Feng Yuan’s intercession. He felt leaving Bai You outside wasn’t a good choice, not because he didn’t trust this country, but because he didn’t trust their strength.

The power of the Qi Realm was still too unique, and without in-depth research by the opponent, preventing the Qi Realm power’s infiltration for attacks wasn’t feasible, just as they faced the Imperial Timeline.

Leaving Bai You behind, even if her strength wasn’t weak, she still had the potential to become a hostage of the Qi Realm projection. Better to keep her by their side; at least Feng Yuan could take care a bit.

Even if he wasn’t particularly concerned, at least at this moment, Bai You considered a companion to Feng Yuan.

The entrance to the Flesh Labyrinth was in the sky, but that couldn’t hinder Feng Yuan and the others. Led by Tamur, they reached the entrance smoothly, looking at the gigantic stone gate, Feng Yuan couldn’t help but say

"Did she factor in Eclipse as well? Isn’t she afraid Eclipse will flip the table on her?"

Such a massive stone gate entrance, it’s hard to believe it’s not meant for Eclipse’s passage, as the opponent’s challenge explicitly required Qi Chen and the others to fight, with no other intrusions allowed.

Even War Qi Chen’s beasts didn’t need such a large entrance, or rather, among their group, the only one with such a scale was Eclipse.

Dou Yanlan remained silent along the way, with a mysterious premonition, knowing this was likely... a showdown set by the other party.

A finale faced amid splendor? It did indeed resemble her own choice.

Thinking secretly to herself, Dou Yanlan glanced at Qi Realm Dou Yanlan, wondering if she’d realized this, or if it was also within her thoughts?

Why would her actions have so many changes, or rather, as if another version of herself was preventing her Soul Projection from acting recklessly.

Perhaps, here, everything would finally have answers.
