SWOOSH SWOOSH SWOOSH...

Two figures forged ahead through the passageway.

The space here seemed vast.

It was Jiang Chen and Murong Xiangming.

As they advanced, they glanced back from time to time.

Soon.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!...

A series of rumbles echoed from behind them.

"The zombies have caught up."

Murong Xiangming’s eyes glinted with killing intent as she saw a Silver-haired Zombie leading over a dozen Green-haired Zombies into the passage in pursuit.

The space here was not large and ill-suited for flight, so Murong Xiangming abandoned the idea, even though she was capable of it.

A glint appeared in Jiang Chen’s eyes.

’Ever since entering the tomb, I’ve felt this intense pull toward the treasures here,’

’and I can actually sense their locations.’

Jiang Chen had chosen this passageway because he could feel a treasure from the Lin Family calling to him.

It was a strange sensation.

His expression shifted slightly upon seeing the zombies closing in from behind.

The Green-haired Zombies were one thing.

But the Silver-haired Zombie actually had a Fifth Heaven Martial King Cultivation.

It was a full level higher than Murong Xiangming.

The place was a maze, with passageways branching off in every direction.

Murong Xiangming suddenly said, "I’ll lure the Silver-haired Zombie away."

Before Jiang Chen could stop her, her figure flickered and she shot straight toward the zombies.

BOOM!

A deafening crash followed in the next instant.

Murong Xiangming looked slightly battered.

"Go, now!"

"We’ll meet up later."

She yelled to Jiang Chen, then immediately drew the Silver-haired Zombie into another passageway.

Jiang Chen was stunned speechless.

He could only shake his head helplessly.

With no other choice, he started running again, heading toward the object that was pulling him.

Seven or eight Green-haired Zombies were hot on his heels.

The Green-haired Zombies were incredibly fast, even a bit faster than Jiang Chen.

THUD! THUD! THUD!...

After he’d run some distance, the Green-haired Zombies had already caught up.

Jiang Chen let out a cold snort as he looked at the Green-haired Zombies with their matted green fur and sharp, bared fangs.

The Cloud Mist Sword appeared in his hand.

ROAR!

One of the Green-haired Zombies, a Martial Master of the Eighth Heaven, was the first to charge.

The strongest among them had a Martial Master Ninth Heaven Cultivation.

It was quite formidable.

SWISH!

A beam of sword light materialized as Jiang Chen viciously slashed at the Green-haired Zombie.

CLANG!

Just like before, the Green-haired Zombie was sent flying, but it wasn’t dead.

Its skin had cracked slightly, but it scrambled back to its feet and lunged at Jiang Chen again.

The other Green-haired Zombies swarmed him, looking ready to tear him to shreds.

Jiang Chen’s heart sank.

’My Cultivation alone isn’t enough to harm these zombies with their astonishing defenses.’

Just as the strongest zombie—the one with a Martial Master Ninth Heaven Cultivation—pounced again,

Jiang Chen quickly made a gesture and shouted,

"Black Fire!"

His Black Fire Spark had recently generated more Black Fire. The amount wasn’t huge, but it wasn’t insignificant either.

The power of the Black Fire was inherently terrifying.

As the zombie lunged, Jiang Chen thrust out his palm, which was now wreathed in Black Fire.

BOOM!

His palm struck the chest of the Martial Master Ninth Heaven zombie.

The Green-haired Zombie was enormous, but its reactions were slower than a Martial Cultivator’s—this was Jiang Chen’s only advantage.

The Black Fire immediately began to spread across the Green-haired Zombie’s body.

SIZZLE... SIZZLE... SIZZLE...

The sound was like grease being rendered in a raging fire.

The Martial Master Ninth Heaven Green-haired Zombie began to shriek in agony.

Its entire body was engulfed in Black Fire, the corpse oil acting like an accelerant, making the flames unstoppable.

ROOOOAR!

The Green-haired Zombie shrieked and howled.

But ultimately, it could not withstand the Black Fire’s consumption.

In a mere moment, it was reduced to a pile of ash.

Even its Copper Skin and Iron Bones couldn’t withstand the Black Fire.

Jiang Chen was overjoyed to see how powerful the Black Fire was.

’The Black Fire is clearly the zombies’ bane!’

Now that he had a solution, the other Green-haired Zombies were no longer a threat.

Black Fire burned in Jiang Chen’s palm, forming a fiery serpent that he whipped toward the other Green-haired Zombies.

Wherever it passed, the Green-haired Zombies immediately ignited.

In just a few moments, all the zombies had been reduced to cinders.

Having dealt with the zombies, Jiang Chen breathed a sigh of relief.

’I wonder how Miss Murong is doing?’

He glanced toward the passageway Murong Xiangming had entered. It was silent, offering no clue as to the state of her battle.

Jiang Chen considered going after her to help.

But then he reconsidered. ’As the young mistress of the Treasure Elephant Pavilion, she must have more than a few tricks up her sleeve.’

’A single Silver-haired Zombie with a Fifth Heaven Martial King Cultivation probably isn’t enough to stop her.’

With that thought, he turned and ran forward.

He could feel the treasure just ahead.

After running for about fifteen minutes, Jiang Chen’s eyes narrowed.

He saw flashes of silver light up ahead.

’That must be it.’

He had a feeling the treasure was in the place where the silver light was flashing.

"Hm?"

But when Jiang Chen reached the source of the silver light,

he was surprised to find several Martial Cultivators already gathered there.

Captain Xiao Jun and Vice-Captain He Ansheng of the Black Demon Mercenary Corps were among them.

Mr. Jiao, captain of the Autumn Wind Mercenary Corps, was also present.

They were all gathered around a coffin that was emitting a silvery-white glow.

If he wasn’t mistaken, it was the same coffin they had seen in front of the Deadman’s Pit when they first entered, yet here it was now.

Jiang Chen’s arrival immediately drew everyone’s attention.

"Jiang Chen."

Xiao Jun nodded a greeting to him.

The others, however, were not so friendly. They watched Jiang Chen with guarded expressions.

"Hmph. Another one come to snatch the treasure."

Several Martial King Experts immediately fixed their gazes on Jiang Chen.

One of them said coldly, "Kid, get lost. You’re not qualified to compete with us for this treasure."

They all stood around the coffin, none willing to yield to the others.

Nor did anyone make a move to open it.

Jiang Chen focused his senses for a moment, then frowned slightly.

’The Lin Family’s Ten Directions Calculation isn’t in this coffin.’

Jiang Chen had been able to sense a particular treasure here all along, though he didn’t know if it was the Ten Directions Calculation.

But he was certain that whatever was in the coffin before him was not the treasure he was sensing.

The treasure he sensed was off to the left.

A much denser, deathly aura emanated from that direction.

"Heh, you all can fight over it."

"Don’t say I didn’t warn you."

Jiang Chen suddenly let out a small laugh.

His Nine Heavens Spirit-Seizing Technique gave him extremely sharp senses.

He got a threatening feeling from that coffin.

Without hesitation, he turned and ran to the left.

He quickly vanished from sight.

Mr. Jiao and the others immediately began to confer.

"Everyone, the treasure is right here in the coffin."

"Whoever gets it, keeps it. How does that sound?" one of the Martial King Experts proposed.

"Fine, I agree."

The others quickly voiced their agreement.

Mr. Jiao and Xiao Jun also agreed to the proposal.

Of course, who the treasure would ultimately end up with was anyone’s guess.

WHOOSH!

Everyone moved at once, rushing the coffin.

They each unleashed their Divine Techniques, striking the coffin with full force.

BOOM!

The coffin shuddered from the blows, and then its lid flew off.

ROOOOAR...

The moment the lid flew off, a savage roar erupted from within.

A ferocious, monstrous creature radiating a silver glow leaped out of the coffin.
