Chapter 559: Chapter 559: The Truth (Part 9)

"Brother, what nonsense are you spouting! How could you call Mom by her name?" Mika Summers said, shocked and angry at Archie Lockwood’s words.

Archie Lockwood’s eyes were bloodshot as he roared, "Una Sullivan has nothing to do with me, Archie Lockwood. She’s *your* mother, and yours alone."

"You’ve gone too far! Brother, you’ve gone too far! Even if you’re not related by blood, she still raised you for over twenty years." Mika Summers clenched her fists and started toward Archie Lockwood.

Seeing this, Tristan Grayson grabbed Mika Summers’s arm and shot an angry look at Archie Lockwood. "Archie Lockwood, we know you’re upset right now. We’ll come back another day. Mom, Dad, let’s go for now. Let’s give him some space to calm down."

Una Sullivan was still in a complete state of shock. Even after Tristan Grayson spoke, she remained lost in it.

A contemptuous smile touched Archie Lockwood’s lips. "Did I hit a nerve? Una Sullivan, you and Yuna Sullivan conspired to hide me for over twenty years, didn’t you? You let Jason Lockwood take my place in the Lockwood Family for over twenty years, isn’t that right?"

"Archie Lockwood, are you out of your mind? Dad, take Mom and get out of here first," Tristan Grayson said, his gaze darkening as he shielded Una and her husband.

"Right." Joseph Summers had apparently figured something out, so he didn’t object. He simply put an arm around his dazed wife and led her away.

Tristan Grayson had previously had the Lockwood Family investigated, so he’d long known about the connection between Yuna and Una Sullivan. He hadn’t said anything because he saw how good Archie Lockwood’s relationship was with Una and her husband. Besides, Una had always treated Archie as if he were her own son.

He just never expected that Master Lockwood’s death would be the thing that pushed Archie Lockwood to turn his back on everyone.

Mika Summers looked from Tristan Grayson to Archie Lockwood. When neither of them spoke, she wiped away her tears and was the first to break the silence, her voice choked with sobs. "Brother, I know you’re upset right now, but what you just said was way too harsh. How do you think Mom felt hearing that?" ’She couldn’t even say a word. She must be devastated... absolutely heartbroken.’

Seeing Mika Summers crying so heartbrokenly, Archie Lockwood felt a pang of regret. But as soon as he thought about the deaths of his father and mother, he knew he could never forgive this family. Not even his sister, whom he had cherished and doted on for so many years. He couldn’t bring himself to forgive her. He closed his eyes in anguish, then hardened his heart and said coldly, "Don’t call me ’brother’ anymore. As of today, I’m cutting all ties with the Summers Family. I am a Lockwood, not your brother, and not their son."

"Brother, how could you..."

"If I don’t, I’d be betraying my parents." At this, Archie Lockwood turned away. His voice was chillingly indifferent as he said, "Tristan Grayson, take them and leave."

Tristan Grayson could see that Archie Lockwood had made up his mind. He had no choice but to lead Mika Summers away. Perhaps, with time, Archie would come to his senses.

As Mika and the others reached the door, Archie Lockwood’s chilling voice called out again. "I’ll be sending someone to pick up Rory soon."

Mika Summers faltered for only a moment before pushing Tristan Grayson aside and running out. Once she was clear of the Lockwood estate, she saw her parents standing by the side of the road.

Her brother’s words were heartbreaking, chilling her to the bone, but she couldn’t stop thinking about their hidden meaning.

’Yuna Sullivan destroyed my brother’s entire family... Yuna Sullivan, Una Sullivan?’

’What was going on? Why did it feel like everyone knew the truth except for her?’
