Chapter 602: Chapter 600: Help Me

’Endure it? For an hour or two?’

Forget an hour or two. In the few short minutes they had been talking, every inch of Aria Joyce’s body felt as if it were being swarmed by ants. The sensation was so unbearable she was on the verge of clawing at her own skin. She felt like she was going crazy. Truly, absolutely crazy.

She wanted to walk over and delete those photos, but she couldn’t even move. All she could do was squat on the floor, hugging herself tightly.

’Who was she? She was Aria Joyce!!! She was Aria Joyce, for God’s sake!’

’That... that kind of thing... She absolutely couldn’t do it. Absolutely not!!’

’She couldn’t be defeated! Absolutely not, not, not...’

She squeezed her eyes shut, desperately warning herself, frantically suppressing all the terrifying emotions swirling within her...

She didn’t know how much time had passed before, in a daze, she thought she saw a tall figure through the glass door. It was Ian Shaw.

Though she had no experience whatsoever, she was, after all, a woman in her late twenties.

Finally, just as she was about to break, the door opened at that very moment.

Ian Shaw walked out. He raised a hand and patted his hair a couple of times, his cold eyes glancing over at Aria Joyce.

Then he turned, walked to the side of the bed, and glanced at the clothes that were still where he’d left them. A rare hint of a smile touched his eyes.

’Looks like she didn’t dare touch my things,’ he thought. ’She hasn’t completely lost her senses after all.’

Aria Joyce stared daggers at Ian Shaw, fighting with every fiber of her being to suppress her urges and not let him see anything was wrong.

Hearing the woman stirring behind him, a brief, awkward blush crept across Ian Shaw’s fair, handsome face. But it vanished after only a few seconds as he forced himself to regain his composure.

’He’d said he wouldn’t... and he’d meant it.’

By now, Aria Joyce’s reason had long since fled.

’That bastard. He’s definitely doing this on purpose. He knows what I want, but he’s just ignoring me.’

Ian Shaw smiled, feigning nonchalance. "Miss Joyce," he teased, "you look like you’re having a hard time."

Aria Joyce clenched her fists, as if making a momentous decision. After a long moment, she finally spoke. "Help me!"

Aria Joyce’s reaction was clearly what Ian Shaw had expected. He let out a low chuckle and asked deliberately, "Oh? What did you say, Miss Joyce? I don’t think I quite heard you. Why don’t you say it again, so I can listen more closely?"

"Help me..." This time, Aria Joyce’s voice was a little louder.

"Help you? Help you with what? You’ll have to be more specific, Miss Joyce."

"Ian Shaw!" He knew exactly what she meant, but he was deliberately playing dumb.

"You need to be clear, Miss Joyce. Otherwise, after I’ve helped you, you might just turn around, deny it all, and press charges against me."

"You bastard!" ’I’ve already swallowed my pride and begged him, so why is he still doing this to me!’

Since Ian Shaw hadn’t received the answer he wanted, he simply sat there without moving, waiting quietly...

After all, he had plenty of time tonight.

He had all the time in the world to play with this woman.

Less than a minute later, Aria Joyce broke.

Her body trembling, she used the table to pull herself to her feet. But the moment she was upright, she nearly collapsed to her knees again.

A dangerous smile played on Ian Shaw’s lips as he watched the woman make her way toward him.

The woman took a single step... After just three or four more, her entire body gave out, and she collapsed to the floor.

Perhaps he couldn’t bear to watch any longer, or perhaps Ian Shaw himself had simply run out of patience.

So, he decided not to drag it out any longer. He rose to his feet and slowly walked toward the woman...
