Tiana hadn’t gotten far. Just after leaving the villa, she realized she had left her purse inside. She wanted to go back for it but didn’t want to face Leo, so she just stood by the side of the road, staring blankly at the passing traffic.

His arms locked around her, pulling her so tight that not a sliver of air could pass between their bodies, yet it still didn’t feel close enough. Her vision began to tunnel, she couldn’t get a breath. ’I’m probably going to be the first woman in history to suffocate from a kiss,’ she thought dimly.

Just as she was about to pass out, Leo abruptly released her. He panted, looking at her with displeasure. "Is being kissed by me that unbearable?" ’Do you have to suffocate yourself to make a point?’

Tiana gasped for air, her face flushed and tears welling in her eyes as she looked at Leo with an aggrieved expression.

Being stared at by Tiana like that, he felt his anger, which had been on the verge of exploding, simply dissipate. He started to regret kissing her so forcefully. "Okay, okay, I was wrong. Don’t look at me like that, or I’ll start to feel like I’ve committed some heinous, unforgivable crime."

"But you were in the wrong."

"You’re right, it was my fault. Tell you what, from now on, you can forcefully kiss me to punish me. If I dare resist, you can do whatever you want with me. How about that?"

"No deal." Seeing Leo spouting such nonsense with a perfectly straight face, she couldn’t help but smile.

Seeing her smile, a sweet warmth spread through Leo’s chest. He leaned his head on Tiana’s shoulder and asked earnestly, "You’re not mad anymore?"

Hearing that, Leo lifted his head and planted a quick kiss on her cheek. "Since you’re not mad, we’ll head back this afternoon." As he spoke, he scrambled to pull out his phone and started making calls, terrified that if he waited even a second longer, Tiana Grayson would change her mind.
