The silence that followed Nash’s words lasted all of one second before everyone started talking at once.

"Alright," Kai said, hands on her hips, openly sizing up the three newcomers standing with Zayela. "Are we doing introductions, or are we just gonna stand here staring at each other all night?"

Nash stepped forward, but before he could even open his mouth, Zayela had already beaten him to it, pressing herself against his side, one arm looped around his waist.

"Zayela," she introduced herself, a smile on her lips, her hand sliding slowly down Nash’s hip before drifting back up to rest on his chest, like she was marking her territory in front of everyone. "Officially... his owner."

A stunned silence dropped over the whole group.

"His what?" Alicia repeated, eyes going wide.

"His ow-ner," Zayela repeated, drawing out each syllable, before pinching Nash’s cheek lightly between two fingers, the way you’d handle a particularly obedient pet. "This big guy has belonged to me since before half of you even knew he existed. Call it proximity. Call it territory. Call it... let’s say, seniority."

"Zay," Nash said, an eyebrow raised.

"What," she shot back, trailing a finger along his jaw without a shred of self-consciousness. "It’s the truth. You think I’m gonna lie in front of your new little court?"

A nervous laugh rippled through the group, somewhere between amusement and genuine shock at how easily she carried herself.

"Okay," Nia said, crossing her arms, a smile tugging at the corner of her mouth. "That right there is the kind of claim that needs some backing up. Does she actually hold up in bed, though?"

"Girl, I swear, you don’t want to go there. Don’t mess with her," Kai added, half-amused.

Zayela swept her gaze across the group then, practically counting out loud.

"Seriously, how many of you are there? Like, officially." She narrowed her eyes, recounting heads a second time. "Because I stopped keeping track after ten, but apparently the number just keeps climbing."

"We’re..." Miko started, then stopped, visibly doing the math in her own head.

"A lot," Rei cut in flatly.

"Are there more of you scattered around the Underground somewhere, while we’re at it?" Zayela asked, an eyebrow arched at Nash. "Like, should I be worried I’m gonna run into some random girl at the market who suddenly announces she’s got a ’Nash Blaze’ license plate stamped on her forehead?"

"She wouldn’t announce it," Nash answered, perfectly calm, which set off another round of laughter.

"Reassuring," Zayela said, before tugging his ear again, a gesture almost maternal despite the subtext. "A real gentleman."

Meanwhile, Lina had made her way over, hips swaying, pink pigtails bouncing with every step, a smile far too confident for someone who’d just arrived.

"Let him breathe, we get it, you’re the queen, but let the king do his thing a little. Anyway, I’m Lina," she introduced herself, latching straight onto his arm, chest pressed against him without the slightest restraint. "His favorite when it comes to... cake-filling duty, let’s say."

"Lina," Nash sighed, tired but amused.

"What, it’s true," she answered, undeterred, rubbing herself lightly against his arm like a cat in heat. "I’m literally broken in for him. Like, my insides must’ve been reshaped to fit you." She threw a pointed wink at the group. "You want technical details, or are we saving that for later?"

"Later," Nash cut in, though the half-smile on his face gave away that he wasn’t really annoyed.

"He says that," Lina whispered to Nia, who happened to be closest, "but like, he loves filling me up until I can’t even stand anymore, so."

"Ah, dammit," Nash said, exasperated, genuinely starting to regret organizing this whole gathering.

"What? I’m just telling the truth," she replied, an innocent smile completely undercut by the mischievous glint in her eyes.

Nia and Alicia exchanged a look, visibly won over already.

"I like her," Alicia said, no hesitation.

"Same, you think she plays too?" Nia agreed.

Sarra had stayed a little behind through all of this, absently pulling her jacket tighter around herself, cheeks already pink from Lina and Zayela’s antics. But when her turn finally came, a murmur ran through the Blacklist side of the group.

"Wait," Alicia said, straightening up all at once. "Isn’t that the girl from the... the sleepover thing? The one who—"

"Oh! Yeah, the one with the tits bigger than Jaz’s! I knew I’d seen those bundalungas somewhere, back when Nash opened that bakery," Nia finished, eyes lighting up.

Sarra flushed deep red, ducking behind Nash at the sudden attention.

"Um— yeah, that was me. It’s been a while..."

"Oh my god," Alicia said, rushing over. "I dreamed about your cakes for like a whole week straight, you have no idea! Uh, the cakes you sell, I mean. Not the one that’s reserved for Nash."

Sarra nearly choked on air, burying her face against Nash’s back, letting out a muffled groan.

Everyone laughed, but the comment seemed to be enough to loosen Sarra up a little, and she let herself get pulled along by Alicia and Nia toward the rest of the group, her shyness still there but a little less suffocating than when she’d arrived.

Amara, for her part, stayed back a moment, watching the whole circus with an expression she was clearly working hard to keep detached. She’d been looking forward to this moment with genuine impatience, the idea of settling into a manor like this, up in the Spires, so far from everything she’d known before, it felt almost unreal. But now that she was here, standing in front of a dozen girls who all seemed to already know each other, like each other, tease each other with the ease of old friends, she felt her usual confidence wobble more than she wanted it to.

"And you?" Rei asked, noticing her silence.

"Amara," she said, straightening her shoulders, forcing a bit of her usual swagger back into her voice. "I come from nowhere important. Guess I’m part of the furniture now."

"The furniture suits you," Rumi commented from a little farther off, an approving smile on her face.

Amara let out a small laugh, a little surprised by the unexpected compliment, feeling some of the tension drain from her shoulders despite herself.

"I’m trying not to be weird about it," she admitted, more honest than she’d planned to be. "It’s... a lot, all at once."

"We’ve all been there," Nia said. "It becomes normal after like two days. Or tonight, if Nash decides to do what we’re all expecting."

"Comforting," Amara replied, a slightly more relaxed smile finally forming.

It was Miko who brought up the subject that had already been floating through everyone’s mind for the past few minutes. "Okay, seriously," she said, adjusting her glasses. "At this rate, Nash, you’re literally going to repopulate the Underground single-handedly."

"It’s not even a joke at this point," Kai added. "Like, statistically."

"The manor won’t even be enough," Rei observed. "We’re gonna need an extension."

Nash raised his hands, a resigned smile on his face.

"It’s a starting point. I’ve got more planned... A long-term thing."

"A starting point," Zayela repeated, an eyebrow raised, before tugging his ear again, harder this time, pulling an amused wince out of him. "So what’s next, exactly? You gonna add the Spires to the collection too?"

"For now... just something that’ll come in useful later, but I’ll try to hold back," Nash answered, perfectly serious, which set off a near-unanimous burst of laughter across the entire entrance hall of the manor.

On the steps, Victoria watched the scene with a smile, arms crossed, something almost like pride glinting in her eyes.

"Look at them," she said to Dahlia, quietly. "All these women, ready to accept anything for him. Each one convinced he’s worth sharing." She let out a small, satisfied laugh. "That’s the clearest proof there is of my man’s real dominance. Not force. This."

Dahlia, meanwhile, watched the same scene with an entirely different calculation running behind her eyes, notebook still clutched to her chest.

"Honestly," she said, half-serious, "with this level of charisma and a growing army of completely devoted women, what’s stopping us from just launching a real revolution in the Underground?"

Victoria turned her head toward her, holding back a laugh.

"You’ve been having some good ideas lately, did he pound creativity into you as well?" Victoria replied.

"He sure pounded a sense of humor into you too, Ma’am," Dahlia said, smiling.

A little apart from all the commotion, Saya watched the scene from the wall she’d propped herself against, arms wrapped tightly around herself. Watching Zayela flaunt herself so openly, hearing Lina joke without a shred of modesty about their intimacy, seeing Sarra and Amara already welcomed with near-instant warmth by the rest of the group, it reminded her painfully of just how thin a thread her own place here hung by.

Every one of these women wanted him. Openly, proudly, without the slightest shame. And she just stood there, off to the side, not even sure she had the right to want anything at all.

She lowered her eyes, arms tightening around herself, trying to ignore the familiar ache pulling at her chest.
