Miriel raised her sword and blocked its attack.
The impact forced her to slide backward several steps.
Before she could counterattack, the second Orc rushed toward her from the side.
Miriel quickly turned and blocked its weapon as well.
The third Orc used the opportunity to attack from behind.
Miriel noticed it at the last moment and moved forward, allowing the weapon to pass behind her.
She quickly turned around and swung her sword.
"Triple Strike!"
Three rapid sword strikes landed on the third Orc.
The first strike cut across its arm.
The second struck its chest.
The third forced it several steps backward.
However, the other two Orcs immediately attacked again.
Miriel was forced to defend herself from both sides.
She blocked one attack and dodged another before jumping backward to create some distance.
"They’re working together much better than the previous ones."
Liam watched from above.
"Good. Don’t rush them."
"Look for an opening."
Miriel nodded.
The three Orcs slowly moved around her.
This time, they did not attack recklessly.
Miriel waited for them to make the first move.
One Orc suddenly charged.
Another followed from behind.
The third stayed back and prepared to attack if Miriel tried to escape.
Miriel immediately understood their plan.
"They’re trying to surround me."
She raised her free hand.
"Fireball."
Five fireballs appeared around her.
The Orcs immediately stopped their advance.
Miriel sent three fireballs toward the Orc in front.
The Orc raised its shield and blocked the first fireball.
The second shattered the shield.
The third struck its body and sent it flying backward.
Before the other two Orcs could react, Miriel rushed toward them.
She covered her sword with Magic Blade and attacked the closest Orc.
The Orc blocked the first strike.
Miriel followed with Triple Strike.
The first attack broke through its defense.
The second struck its shoulder.
The third knocked it to the ground.
The final Orc roared and swung its weapon toward Miriel.
She ducked under the attack and immediately used Piercing Strike.
A concentrated blade of mana shot forward.
The attack pierced through the Orc’s armor and struck its chest.
The Orc stumbled backward but remained standing.
Miriel quickly followed with another sword strike.
The Orc finally collapsed.
The first Orc that had been hit by the fireballs was also struggling to stand.
Miriel turned toward it.
She raised her hand and created another five fireballs.
This time, she sent only two.
The first struck its leg.
The second struck its chest.
The Orc fell to the ground.
Three notifications appeared before Miriel.
[ You have defeated Orc (Level 18). ]
[ Experience +65 ]
[ You have defeated Orc (Level 17). ]
[ Experience +61 ]
[ You have defeated Orc (Level 18). ]

Miriel lowered her sword and looked at the defeated Orcs.
She was breathing heavily, but she had managed to defeat all three without Liam’s help.
Liam flew down beside her.
"That was much better."
"You used your skills according to the situation instead of simply attacking with your strongest ability."
Miriel nodded.
"I was afraid that I would make a mistake."
"You didn’t."
Liam looked at her status screen.
"You should have gained quite a bit of experience from those battles."
Miriel opened her status screen and checked her level.
Her eyes immediately widened.
"I’m Level 17 already."
"You gained five levels from those battles?"
Liam nodded.
"You’re still low level, so the experience from stronger monsters is quite useful."
He looked deeper into the forest.
"There are probably stronger monsters farther ahead."
Miriel closed her status screen and tightened her grip on her sword.
"Then let’s keep going."
Liam nodded.
"Good. We’ll continue until you reach Level 30."
The two continued deeper into the Northern Forest.
This time, Miriel walked with much more confidence.
She knew that she still had a long way to go, but she was finally beginning to understand how to use the power Liam had given her.
Time continued to pass as Liam and Miriel hunted through the forest.
They fought different groups of monsters throughout the day, and Miriel continued gaining experience.
As her level increased, she became more familiar with her skills and started using them more efficiently.
By the time night arrived, Miriel finally reached Level 30.
She had just finished fighting a Grey Wolf Alpha when she lowered her sword and sat on the ground.
Her breathing was heavy, and her entire body was covered in sweat and dirt.
A notification appeared before her.
[ Level Up! ]
[ Level 30 reached. ]
Miriel looked at the notification with relief.
"I finally reached Level 30."
Liam flew toward her.
"That was good."
He activated High Heal.
A soft light surrounded Miriel’s body, quickly healing the wounds she had received during the day’s battles.
Once the injuries were gone, Liam activated Sacred Divine Spring.
A large, transparent spring appeared above Miriel.
Pure golden-white water poured down from it and covered her body.
The divine energy quickly restored her stamina and replenished her mana.
Miriel felt the exhaustion leaving her body.
Her breathing gradually became normal.
She looked at Liam.
"That feels much better."
Liam nodded.
"Rest for a while."
"You’ve been fighting the entire day."
Miriel leaned against a nearby tree and closed her eyes.
Liam floated beside her and checked the surrounding area with his enhanced vision.
The forest had become quiet now that night had arrived.
After making sure there were no dangerous monsters nearby, he turned his attention back to Miriel.
"You’ve reached Level 30."
"Now you can begin your Tier Advancement Trial."
Miriel opened her eyes.
"Can I start it now?"
"You could, but there’s no reason to rush."
"You’ve already fought all day."
"Rest first."
Miriel nodded.
"All right."
She closed her eyes again and began recovering.
Liam remained nearby and kept watch over the area.
Once Miriel was fully rested, they would begin her Tier Advancement Trial.
As she rested Liam checked her status screen.
