Another two days passed, and it was now the fifth day of the Trial Period.
During the last two days, Liam had continued exploring the deeper parts of the cave.
He hunted stronger monsters, gathered more materials, and steadily increased his level.
He had also obtained two more skills from monsters.
The first came from a Shadow Bat.
[ Shadow Dash ]
A movement skill that allowed the user to instantly dash a short distance through shadows.
It greatly increased mobility and made it easier to dodge attacks or quickly change positions during battle.
After obtaining it, Liam immediately used Reality Reversal to raise it to Level 10.
At its maximum level, Shadow Dash allowed him to move between nearby shadows almost instantly, leaving behind a faint afterimage that confused his enemies.
The second skill came from a Crystal Cave Spider.
[ Crystal Web ]
The user could create thin but incredibly durable webs made from condensed crystal energy.
Unlike ordinary spider webs, they were difficult to cut and could slow down any monster caught inside.
After reversing it to Level 10, the webs became nearly invisible in the darkness and gained a binding effect, making it much harder for trapped enemies to escape.
Both skills perfectly complemented Liam’s fighting style.
He could first trap enemies using Crystal Web, fire a Paralysis Curse Ray to prevent any movement, and then finish them off with two Dark Cutters.
If he encountered a dangerous opponent, Shadow Dash allowed him to instantly retreat or reposition before launching another attack.
After two more days of hunting, Liam’s strength had increased once again.
He had finally reached Level 30.
A notification immediately appeared before Liam’s eye.
[ Congratulations! ]
[ You have reached Level 30. ]

Nightmare
Liam stared at the difficulty options.
He was torn between Hard and Nightmare.
"I’m confident I can clear the Hard Trial with my current strength... but what about Nightmare?" he thought.
After thinking for a while, he shook his head.
"I’ll play it safe this time. I can challenge Nightmare during my next Tier Advancement."
Without any further hesitation, Liam selected Hard difficulty.
Immediately, several notifications appeared.
[ Hard difficulty selected. ]
[ Transferring to the Tier Advancement Trial Area... ]
A bright light enveloped Liam.
The next moment, his surroundings changed completely.
He found himself floating above a vast grassy plain beneath a clear blue sky.
Another notification appeared before him.
[ Tier Advancement Trial ]
Objective: Destroy the Goblin Lord Village and kill the Goblin Lord.
Reward: ??????
Bonus Rewards: Awarded based on completion time and the percentage of enemies eliminated.
Liam calmly read the mission.
"This really is a Hard difficulty trial."
For an F-Rank Dream Race, this challenge was far beyond normal.
Goblin Lords were B-Rank Dream Races.
Not only were they physically powerful, but they were also skilled warriors capable of using various combat skills.
They could even fight Orcs head-on using their superior martial techniques.
"A Goblin Lord should have several Hobgoblin guards, Goblin Shamans, and well over a thousand ordinary Goblins," Liam thought.
Ordinary Goblins were E-Rank monsters.
Hobgoblins and Goblin Shamans, however, were C-Rank races.
Charging into the village directly would be suicide.
Liam thought for a moment before forming a plan.
"I’ll use poison."
"I don’t need to fight all of them head-on."
"If I can poison the entire village, the battle will become much easier."
With his plan decided, Liam flew toward the nearby forest.
He remained alert the entire time.
Goblin Scouts were experts at ambushes.
They often hid among tree branches or thick bushes before suddenly attacking unsuspecting prey.
Liam’s current body was only about the size of a baseball.
Even a simple dagger thrown by a Goblin Scout could be fatal if it landed.
Fortunately, the forest contained countless shadows.
Using Shadow Dash, Liam silently moved from one shadow to another, making himself almost impossible to detect as he advanced toward the Goblin Lord’s village.
About twenty minutes later, he finally reached his destination.
Hidden among the shadows of the forest, Liam looked toward the village.
It was much larger than he had expected.
The wooden walls were over five meters tall, with watchtowers standing at regular intervals.
Inside, hundreds of huts surrounded a massive hall at the center of the settlement.
Goblins carrying spears, bows, and crude swords patrolled every corner of the village.
Liam quietly observed the area for several minutes.
"There are far more than a thousand..."
He could already see well over a thousand Goblins without even entering the village.
This was far more dangerous than the academy’s examples had described.
Liam immediately activated Enhanced Vision and carefully searched the entire settlement.
Soon, his gaze stopped on the largest tent near the center of the village.
A notification appeared before him.
[ Goblin Lord - Level 51 ]
Liam became serious.
"A Level 51 monster..."
He finally understood why this was considered a Hard Tier Advancement Trial.
The Goblin Lord was already a Tier 1 monster.
The difference between Tier 0 and Tier 1 was enormous.
Even a newly advanced Level 31 Tier 1 monster could easily defeat hundreds of ordinary Tier 0 monsters.
"I’m glad I didn’t choose Nightmare."
Liam continued observing through the opening of the large tent.
Inside, the Goblin Lord was abusing several human women who had clearly been taken prisoner.
Their clothes were torn, and they were covered in injuries.
Some had already lost consciousness.
Liam’s expression hardened.
According to what he had learned at the academy, Goblins frequently raided nearby settlements.
They kidnapped members of other races and treated them as slaves or prisoners.
It seemed those lessons had been true.
For a brief moment, Liam wanted to attack immediately.
However, he forced himself to remain calm.
Charging in now would only get everyone killed.
"I’ll rescue them after dealing with the Goblin Lord."
As he continued observing the village, another realization struck him.
"This isn’t an illusion."
"This place actually exists somewhere in the Dream Dimension."
The Tier Advancement Trial had not created a fake battlefield.
Instead, it had transported him to a real location.
That meant every Goblin here was real.
And if he completed the mission...
This Goblin village would truly cease to exist.
