Dungeon Corpse Stacker: I Absorb Everything to Become Ominous Monarch
Chapter 69: THE HALL OF ANCIENT CORESThe heavy cargo platform groaned as its thick steel cables lowered Renan and his primary commanders deeper into the bowels of the subterranean complex.
One hundred and fifty meters beneath the capital’s surface, Vault Level 3 served as the Strategic Arsenal & Primary Energy Conduits of the Association. The temperature here was frigid, chilled by massive industrial mana-coolers designed to stabilize the vast network of pulsating, violet-glowing power lines running along the vaulted stone ceilings.
Unlike the previous floors, Vault Level 3 was designed as a narrow, three-hundred-meter linear hall flanked by heavy blast doors and reinforced firing positions—a brutal kill-zone meant to bottleneck any force attempting to reach the final executive bunker on Level 4.
At the far end of the long hall stood the second of the Three Pillars of the Nation—General Marcus, an S-Rank Sovereign Vanguard known as the Unbreakable Shield. Marcus was a hulking warrior wearing full-body Adamantite-Dragon Armor, wielding a towering ten-foot tower shield inscribed with nullification runes, flanked by the final hundred elite Executive Enforcers.
Floating directly behind Marcus was a massive, eight-foot-tall floating crystal pillar known as the Void Anchor Core—an Ancient Tier-EX Relic that continuously emitted a spatial lockdown field, preventing any form of short-range teleportation, shadow-stepping, or phase-shifting within the entire floor.
"Hold your ground!" General Marcus bellowed, his voice amplified by his armor’s acoustic arrays as he slammed his massive shield into the stone floor, locking it into the bedrock. "The Void Anchor Core is fully operational! The Sovereign cannot shadow-step behind our lines! He has to march straight down this narrow hall through our concentrated fire!"
Behind Marcus, fifty heavy spell-artillery batteries hummed with deadly orange light, locked onto the single corridor through which Renan’s forces were advancing.
"He thinks he can roll over us with stealth and spatial tricks!" Marcus growled, his eyes burning behind his visor. "Here, on Vault Level 3, we force him into a meat-grinder!"
CLANG... CLANG... CLANG...
The rhythmic sound of heavy boots echoed from the dark threshold of the cargo elevator shaft.
Out from the darkness stepped Renan. His long black coat trailed behind him, his glowing amber-golden eyes piercing through the dim, violet-lit hall. He didn’t draw a blade, nor did he hide behind a shield. He simply walked forward at a steady, unhurried pace, flanked by Shadow Commander Drake—now clad in dark phantom-platinum armor—and Shadow Commander Carlos.
Behind them, three thousand heavy Shadow Knights filed into the hallway, their golden eyes burning in absolute, disciplined silence.

"Marcus," Renan’s layered, double-toned voice echoed down the three-hundred-meter corridor, overriding the hum of the power conduits and the whining artillery batteries. "You activated a spatial lock, believing that taking away my mobility would equalize our strength."
General Marcus sneered, bracing his shoulder against his ten-foot adamantite shield. "Without your shadow-stepping tricks, you’re just a man walking down a narrow hallway into fifty heavy cannons! Fire!"
BOOOOOOOOOOM!
Fifty heavy spell-artillery cannons fired simultaneously, unleashing a blinding, sun-bright beam of concentrated heat and kinetic mana straight down the narrow corridor! The air in the hall instantly ignited, turning the narrow passage into an absolute inferno capable of vaporizing S-Rank Hunters in fractions of a second.
Renan didn’t even pause his stride.
"Carlos. Drake," Renan commanded smoothly.
Shadow Commander Carlos and the newly extracted Shadow Commander Drake stepped to the front. Drake raised his phantom staff, deploying a massive Arcane Nullification Barrier, while Carlos drove his dark war-hammer into the ground, raising a three-layer Titan Wall.
BANG-BANG-BANG!
The apocalyptic wave of energy slammed into the combined barriers, blasting hot winds and ozone sparks across the hall, but failing to push Renan back by even a single inch. Through the searing smoke and fire, Renan continued his relentless, steady march forward.
Fifty paces from Marcus, Renan raised his gloved hand toward the floating Void Anchor Core.
"You locked the spatial vectors," Renan whispered, his golden eyes flaring with absolute Monarch authority. "You forgot that space itself is merely a canvas for my mana."
[Skill Activated: ’Sovereign’s Spatial Crush’]
Target: Void Anchor Core (Tier-EX Relic)
Applied Vector: Direct Gravitational Pressure (50,000 Tons)
CRUNCH!
The massive eight-foot floating crystal pillar groaned as an invisible, colossal weight slammed onto it from above. The spatial lockdown field flickered violently as hairline cracks spread across the ancient relic’s surface. With a final, deafening shatter, the Void Anchor Core imploded into dust, sending a shockwave of released spatial mana tearing through the ceiling!
[System Alert: Spatial Lockdown Field Nullified!]
[Shadow-Step & Phase Capabilities Restored!]
"The core... shattered from raw gravity?!" General Marcus gasped, his eyes wide in absolute horror as the spatial pressure in the room suddenly surged tenfold.
Renan stopped ten paces from Marcus’s ten-foot adamantite shield. He slowly raised his dark right fist, his arm wrapped in dense, spiraling golden-black Monarch runes that radiated forty-three thousand six hundred physical stat points.
"You relied on armor and walls, Marcus," Renan said softly, his voice chilling the air. "Let us test the strength of your shield."
Renan pulled back his fist and threw a simple, straight punch directly into the center of Marcus’s ten-foot adamantite shield.
[Skill Activated: ’Sovereign’s Impact - Absolute Compression’]
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
The sound was not that of striking metal—it was the sound of a mountain collapsing!
The ten-foot spell-reinforced adamantite tower shield violently caved inward, shattering into thousands of jagged metal shards. The kinetic shockwave punched straight through Marcus’s Dragon Armor, snapping his ribs and launching his massive body backward like a cannonball! Marcus flew two hundred meters down the hall, crashing straight through the heavy steel blast doors of Vault Level 4 before collapsing onto the cold concrete floor beyond.
"Gah... cough!" Marcus spat out a mouthful of blood, his armor completely ruined, his legs broken. He looked up through his cracked visor into the dark dust cloud settling in the doorway.
Renan stepped through the ruined blast doors, stepping onto Vault Level 4. Behind him, the remaining Executive Enforcers had already been swept away by Shadow General Ignis and Shadow Commander Sylas.
Renan stood over the broken vanguard, raising his hand as dark miasma swirled around his fingertips.
"Your shield is broken, Marcus," Renan whispered as the dark purple lightning erupted from his palm.

[New Physical Stat Total: 47,200 Points!]
Renan felt his physical stat total skyrocket to 47,200 points, his Monarch core expanding with an overwhelming density of physical power.
From the dark shadow pool beneath the floor, the massive form of Marcus rose in black obsidian-dragon armor, wielding a dark spectral tower shield, bowing his head in fanatical submission before Renan.
Renan turned his golden eyes toward the final, massive golden blast doors at the end of Vault Level 4—the entrance to the Presidency Apex Bunker.
Standing before the golden doors was the final member of the Three Pillars—Archmage Vane, the country’s strongest SS-Rank Elementalist—and behind those doors sat President James.
Renan stepped forward, his long coat fluttering in the cold draft. "One floor left."
