Chapter 399: Chapter 399 – Irreversible Accusation
HOKAGE TOWER
Riser remained on the rooftop for a moment, the Mangekyō Sharingan active as he confirmed the already completed barrier around the tower. No external presence crossed it, and nothing that happened there would be perceived from the outside. The decision had already been made, and the next step did not require preparation, only execution.
"Now I just need to take those bastards to Kamui... but first."
He tilted his face slightly, keeping his red eyes steady as he shifted the focus of his own intent.
"It’s been a while since I used this."
Haoshoku Haki needed no gesture, and the pressure simply appeared without warning, spreading through the tower like a crushing presence that passed through walls and bodies, striking directly at the will of every individual inside the barrier. It was not physical energy, but pure imposition, a presence that allowed no real resistance.
VUUUUM
The ninjas scattered through the corridors, stairs and rooms reacted first, their bodies locking before their minds could even understand what was happening. One after another, they lost consciousness without being able to react, falling where they stood, unable to sustain their own presence before the pressure dominating the environment.
The silence that followed was not natural, it was imposed, and Riser remained still while expanding Kenbunshoku Haki to evaluate the result. His perception passed through the entire tower without difficulty, tracking each presence while the pressure stabilized and the effect consolidated.
’It worked.’
The focus adjusted quickly, finding Shizune first, still standing, her body tense while holding someone who had fainted beside her. The resistance did not come from strength, but from choice, something Riser registered without giving it importance at that moment.
His gaze moved ahead and found Tsunade, standing inside the room, completely conscious, without signs of losing control. In front of her, Koharu and Homura were fallen, completely knocked out by the pressure, unable to react or even maintain presence.
And then came Danzō.
He did not fall.
But he yielded.
The reading showed his body kneeling, sustaining the weight of the pressure with difficulty, without losing consciousness, but far from maintaining full control. The resistance was not complete, it was effort, and that was already enough to set him apart from the others.
Riser kept his gaze fixed on him.
"I didn’t use everything... but you enduring this is already interesting."
"Soru."
Riser’s body disappeared without leaving a trace from where he stood, and the displacement occurred in a single instant, crossing the tower’s internal space without any visible trajectory.
When he existed again, he was already leaning against the structure of the Hokage office window, observing the interior with total control of the situation, showing no hurry or effort.
"What did you do, Tsunade?" Danzō shouted angrily, forcing his body to react while still dealing with the weight of the pressure.
"I didn’t do anything." Tsunade replied firmly, without looking away.
"You—" Danzō began, trying to maintain the accusation even without confirmation.
Riser observed the scene for a moment, his gaze passing over both before intervening without any hesitation.
"She’s telling the truth, old man... I’m the one who did all this."
The line came naturally, but it was enough to cut the moment and force both of their focus directly onto him.
"Riser..." Tsunade recognized him instantly, without hiding her surprise.
"So you are the Uchiha... the one responsible for sealing the Uchiha district." Danzō spoke as he stood up, recovering part of his control.
"Yeah... that’s me." Riser replied simply. "I heard you wanted custody of me... so I came to you to settle this personally."
He did not pause.
"By killing you, of course."
"Kill me?" Danzō replied, his voice filled with irritation as his body fully steadied, pushing away the remaining pressure.
Riser showed no interest in prolonging that, his gaze already evaluating the next step while keeping the Mangekyō active.
’It’s not worth talking... the only real problem is Izanagi. Before using Kamui, better test it.’
"Riser... was it you who knocked out the elders?"
Tsunade kept her tone firm, without looking away, demanding a direct answer while already organizing the situation in her own head.
"Don’t ask questions, Tsunade." Riser replied without changing his tone. "There are only four people conscious in this tower besides me. Go check on your disciple... she may need help. Danzō, as a member of the village, will fulfill his role and try to stop me."
Tsunade understood.
The answer was not a request.
It was an opening.
A clear line being drawn to remove her from the center of what was about to happen, while at the same time making it clear that responsibility for the next move would not be hers.
Danzō did not accept it.
"What are you talking about, you filthy Uchiha?" His voice came harder, irritation already obvious.
Tsunade did not answer immediately, her gaze passing quickly between the two before making the decision without hesitation.
"If there are injured people... I won’t ignore them." She spoke firmly. "Handle this your way, Danzō."
"Are you running away?" Danzō retorted instantly. "The enemy is in front of you, Hokage."
"I already made my choice." Tsunade replied directly, without going back. "Now make yours."
Her body disappeared in the next instant, leaving only an afterimage in place, fast enough to prevent any immediate reaction. Danzō moved forward to reach her, but it was already too late.
"Don’t try to stop her, old man."
Riser snapped his fingers.
SNAP
The flames appeared directly on Danzō’s body, consuming without warning, advancing quickly as if responding only to Riser’s will.
’Burn, you son of a bitch.’
The body disappeared.
There was no visible displacement, not even Kenbunshoku captured the trajectory, only the sudden absence before the return.
Riser turned his face toward the window, following the exterior while reorganizing the reading.
’So this is Izanagi... rewriting reality.’
Danzō reappeared farther ahead, his body intact, but his gaze filled with hatred.
"You will pay for this, Uchiha... and Hime too."
"We’ll see about that."
Riser turned his face back toward the interior and activated Kamui without hesitation, space distorting around Homura and Koharu before absorbing them completely, without resistance.
’They will still be useful.’
"Soru."
His body disappeared and appeared in the next instant in front of Danzō, already outside the tower, without any interval of displacement.
Danzō did not retreat.
"You still haven’t realized... you’re decades too early to face me."
Riser did not respond.
Tsunade and Shizune appeared farther away, maintaining enough distance from the confrontation, but still trapped inside the barrier that isolated the tower.
’I hope I made the right choice.’
Danzō turned his face toward her.
"You will lose everything, you traitor." The voice came hard. "Your position... and your freedom."
Tsunade did not look away.
"If defending this village means being called a traitor... then you’ve already lost the right to speak in its name."
Riser spoke before Danzō could answer.
"Don’t worry, Tsunade." He kept his tone calm. "The only traitor here is him."
His gaze fixed on Danzō.
"I intend to expose that... starting with lineage theft."
The accusation was not light, and its weight fell directly into the environment, forcing an immediate reaction even without explicit proof at that moment.
’Lineage theft... that is serious.’
Shizune kept her gaze on Danzō, the tension clear while her reasoning tried to keep up with what that implied.
Danzō did not show surprise, but his gaze hardened.
"You talk too much for someone who just arrived." He replied directly. "Accusations without proof mean nothing."
Tsunade did not ignore it.
"He’s right about one thing." She spoke without looking away. "That isn’t a simple accusation... I need proof."
Riser did not change his posture.
"Never wondered why he hides that arm so much... and that eye?"
The silence came immediately.
Danzō frowned.
Tsunade did not respond right away, her gaze sliding quickly to his right side, analyzing the bandage covering his arm and then rising to the hidden eye, connecting the suspicion with the accusation made.
"You’re saying he—"
"Look into my eyes, Tsunade." Riser cut in without raising his tone. "And you’ll understand."
The Mangekyō Sharingan rotated slowly.
Riser’s eyes left the answer exposed without needing explanation, and the logic completed itself in the same instant, linking the accusation to what Danzō was hiding.
