Has that nightmare that always haunted his heart passed...

"Yes, it has passed..." she said with absolute certainty. That past, like a nightmare, had actually already passed...

His eyes gently closed, leaning against her, as if only at this moment his soul truly found peace. Her embrace made him feel very warm and comfortable.

In this world, only she could console his anxiety like this.

After the incident with Francine Howards, Kyle Kinston and Mabel Quinn remained as usual, with no change. Of course, if there really was any change, it was perhaps the increased relaxation in Kyle’s smile, as the occasional worry and shadow in his eyes seemed to be dissipating.

Their relationship seemed to become more candid.

He shared many stories from his childhood with her, and she listened attentively. These were things he had never told anyone before, things he once considered taboo, but now he finally would share them with her.

"Saying it out loud actually makes me feel a little relieved," he said.

"Kyle, don’t keep things bottled up inside. Whatever you want to express, you can tell me," Mabel Quinn said, her fingers gently interlaced with his, their fingers entwined, "We are husband and wife, we are one."

Husband and wife... Such a simple word, but for him at this moment, it seemed to be endowed with deeper meaning.

His fingers unconsciously tightened, clasping her hand securely, "Yes, we are indeed one."

One, so we can achieve true honesty...

The Kinston Family and Quinn Family’s wedding preparations were proceeding in an orderly way. Of course, Mabel Quinn basically only needed to try on the wedding dress and communicate with the stylist. Many things didn’t require her attention; most of her energy was still focused on the drama series, where she often stayed with the crew. She hoped to complete all her work there before her wedding.

As the wedding date approached, this so-called grand wedding was increasingly attracting attention. News reporters frequently released updates about the wedding proceedings every three days, and quite a few journalists would wait outside the set, looking for opportunities to interview her.

This resulted in the number of bodyguards around Mabel Quinn continuously increasing, from the original two to now five.

If not for Mabel Quinn insisting that five were enough, Kyle Kinston and her father would have probably arranged for a dozen people to follow her.

Even so, she was quite a spectacle on the set.

"Ugh..." In the restroom, Mabel Quinn leaned over the sink, vomiting, only stopping after a while.

Earlier, someone from the crew had ordered some takoyaki as takeout and shared it with everyone, allocating a portion for her as well. Mabel Quinn didn’t eat it, knowing well from the incident with Alessia Quinn that she should avoid eating things given by others when possible. Just as she was about to refuse, the smell of the food inexplicably triggered a wave of nausea in her.

She then rushed to the restroom to vomit, only stopping after a significant while.
