"What are you going to do?" Francine’s father and mother hurriedly asked.
"In a bit, when my car gets to the airport, I’ll go pick up the tickets and check in the luggage. You drive somewhere nearby, find a secluded spot, get rid of the child, and then come back. We’ll meet at the airport, and once we’re on the plane, everything will be fine." Francine said.
But this plan of hers scared her parents half to death.
"Get rid of her?" The faces of the two elderly people instantly turned pale. They naturally understood what this meant, but... wasn’t this basically murder?
Even though they also resented Kyle Kinston for what had happened to their family, when it really came to killing someone, they simply didn’t have the guts.
Especially since this child was Kyle’s child!
Seeing her parents like this, Francine knew they were afraid, so she said, "Dad, Mom, I’ve already harmed Kyle Kinston’s daughter to this extent. Do you think if I let this child go, Kyle will let me go? Since he ruined our family so badly, why should we spare the child he had with that cheap woman Mabel Quinn!"
The two elders looked at each other, at a loss for words for a moment.
The car pulled up at the airport. Francine got out and took the luggage from the car, then said to her parents, "Hurry up, time waits for no one. We’ll meet here at the airport in an hour!" That was also boarding time!
Only then did Francine’s father sit in the driver’s seat and drive the car away from the airport.
"So... we really have to kill this child?" Francine’s mother sat in the back seat, using tissues to wipe the blood from Harper Kinston’s forehead. "She’s only five! And we’re talking about killing a person, not slaughtering a chicken or a duck."
"Or are we supposed to just watch our daughter get arrested?" Francine’s father said, his heart full of conflict. "No matter whether we send the child to the Hospital or hand her over to some passerby, we can’t wash our hands of this. Won’t people wonder how she got hurt? If they call the police, what do we do then?"
Francine’s mother thought about it and found it made sense, so she said no more. The area around the airport was all suburbs, and the car headed toward a quiet mountainous forest. Some nearby villages were already being developed, but most of the ones further from the airport still hadn’t been touched.
The car drove to the edge of a sparsely populated village. Francine’s father got out holding Harper, and Francine’s mother followed behind. But when the two of them looked at the unconscious little face, they just couldn’t bring themselves to do it.
Previously, Francine’s mother had often wished her daughter would hurry up and get married, so she could have a grandchild to hold. Yet now she was being asked to get rid of a little girl like this.
"How about... we just leave her here. Whether she lives or dies, let heaven decide. Besides, once we really make it abroad and are safe, at least we’ll have a little less sin on our consciences." Francine’s mother said.
"Fine, we’ll leave her here." Francine’s father nodded, putting Harper down on the overgrown hillside, and then the two of them hurried down the mountain and drove away.
It was already almost time to meet up with their daughter, so Francine’s father was driving like the wind. He knew very well that if they missed the time, there was no telling whether they’d still be able to get away in the future.
"Ah, look out!" Francine’s mother suddenly cried out. Francine’s father snapped back to his senses, only to see a large truck right in front of them. But at this point, even if he slammed on the brakes, the momentum of the car was still carrying it forward.
