Chapter 341: Unclean Ecstasy (3)

In that instant, all sounds fell silent.

At the brunette's scream, Fu Qian felt every eye in the hall turn toward him.

Did entering this place really require an Invitation Letter?

This sudden turn of events made Fu Qian frown.

And what kind of creature was this woman, anyway?

She could tell he didn't have an Invitation Letter just from a single glance?

Given the massive disparity in their levels, these people held almost no secrets from him.

He had scanned the crowd the moment she screamed, and he was now absolutely certain that not a single person here carried anything of the sort.

The passionate atmosphere that had just barely begun to stir in the banquet hall had come to an abrupt halt.

He had to admit, the sight was rather amusing. It felt like playing a massive game of Red Light, Green Light.

"You don't have an Invitation Letter?"

The next moment, Fu Qian heard an astonished voice ring out beside him.

The long-haired man seemed utterly shocked by this revelation. His attitude did a complete one-eighty, and he spoke as if he were looking at something filthy.

At the same time, Fu Qian could feel the man's emotions churning. His ferocious expression couldn't be hidden, not even by the butterfly mask on his face.

Was he actually displeased by his own shock?

"What is an Invitation Letter?"

Faced with the man's question, Fu Qian made no attempt to hide the truth. Instead, he simply watched him with keen interest.

"You really didn't want to snap out of that state from earlier, did you?"

Unfortunately, the long-haired man ignored him and looked past Fu Qian's shoulder instead.

Fu Qian glanced back. Amidst the sea of death glares, two burly, broad-shouldered men were rushing over.

Unlike the other guests, these two weren't wearing masks. Their faces were incredibly ferocious.

This ferocity was made immediately apparent when one of them marched right up to him and, without a word of warning, threw a vicious punch.

While his physique fell just short of the long-absent Captain Gu's, if his target had been an ordinary person, a solid hit from that fist would still mean death or severe injury.

Especially since the punch was aimed directly at the temple.

'They're really going for the kill, huh?'

Fu Qian nodded inwardly.

It seemed the secrets held here were of immense importance to these people—certainly far more important than the life of an uninvited guest.

As such, the bodyguards had been authorized to use the most permanent solution.

Given the sheer influence these people clearly possessed, covering up a murder afterward would be effortless.

Regardless, this was perfect. It meant he had far more room to operate.

The next moment, facing the burly man's snail-paced attack, Fu Qian didn't even flinch. He simply opened his mouth and exhaled.

Crack!

With that crisp, satisfying sound, the burst of air effortlessly tore the burly man's arm off, carrying it smoothly through the air into the distance.

The severed limb left a trailing mist of blood before dropping lightly into the center of the dance floor.

The silence was finally broken. The men and women, who had only just managed to drape their clothes over themselves, screamed and scattered in all directions.

"Who are you?"

Because everything had happened so fast, the now one-armed thug was still staring blankly at his distant limb. His partner was a half-beat too slow to react, his hands still viciously reaching for Fu Qian's throat.

The next moment, both of the second man's hands flew into the air, landing right next to his colleague's arm.

"Ahhh!"

Only then did the one-armed thug's agonized scream finally ring out.

"A transcendent!"

Confronted with this bloody scene, the partygoers finally realized what had just happened.

Amidst a wave of alarmed gasps, a figure pushed through the crowd and stepped forward.

Halting about ten meters away from Fu Qian, the man took off his mask to reveal a somewhat aged face with snow-white hair at the temples.

Judging by his demeanor, he looked like the type of man accustomed to giving orders.

"Even a transcendent cannot run wild in my place."

The old man locked onto Fu Qian with an intensely vicious glare.

"The Night Watchers will be here any minute. You won't get away."

Judging by that tone, this man had to be the host of the banquet.

He had reacted fast, managing to call for backup that quickly.

Fu Qian gave him a look of pure admiration, though he hadn't shifted from his spot by so much as an inch.

"Don't worry, I'm not running."

What a joke. He might have drawn blood just now, but it was purely in self-defense.

It was true that the Night Watchers placed strict regulations on transcendents, but they didn't go so far as to demand they stand around and take a one-sided beating.

As for crashing a private party, the chances of the Night Watchers actually giving a damn were pitifully low.

Unless, of course, the host carefully explained the true nature of this little gathering and highlighted exactly how Fu Qian's actions had disrupted it.

Unfortunately for them, Fu Qian doubted this group would dare go into too much detail about their activities in front of the Night Watchers.

"Besides—"

Fu Qian gestured at the distance between the old man and himself.

"Aren't you forgetting something? Even if the Night Watchers are on their way... they aren't here yet, are they?"

At those words, the old man seemed to abruptly realize the reality of his situation. He took a step back, his seething rage instantly converting into raw terror.

"That's more like it!"

Fu Qian nodded in satisfaction.

The greatest mistake a person could make was failing to know their place.

Standing ten meters away from an opponent who could take your life at any second, this was the proper attitude to have.

The old man's initially pale face was now completely drained of color.

Fu Qian paid him no more mind. Instead, he curled a finger and flicked a sharp blast of wind behind him.

The next moment, with a deafening roar, a fist-sized sphere of magma detonated in mid-air. It blossomed into a massive, dazzling shower of sparks, looking exceptionally spectacular.

Amidst the screams, a violent gale whipped up, sweeping in all the scattered magma and sparing the crowd below from instant cremation.

The dazzling tornado of fire didn't dare press the attack. Instead, it was steered straight into the ceiling, blasting a massive hole through the roof.

"He's not someone we can deal with. We'll wait for the Night Watchers to handle everything."

After defusing the attack, the newcomer grabbed his colleague and muttered a seemingly familiar phrase.

Having quickly reached an agreement, the two men assumed a defensive stance as if facing a mortal enemy, watching Fu Qian's every move with extreme caution.

What a wealthy host. To think he could employ two transcendent bodyguards, both possessing a decent bit of strength.

But what was up with their posture? Were they worried he was going to lash out and hurt someone?

Could they not use their brains for a second? They were the ones throwing fire blasts indoors, weren't they?

Even as he mocked them internally, Fu Qian continued to sense the shifting changes within the space.

A moment later, he fired an Air Bullet into the empty air above.

The next moment, a hazy cluster of sword light was blasted apart, leaving a Longsword trembling violently, shivering like a leaf in the wind.

The youth in black wielding it had to exert tremendous effort just to keep the weapon from flying out of his hands.

The host certainly hadn't lied about that part. The Night Watchers had arrived incredibly fast.
