The ground was still a long way down, but for Fu Qian, that was no longer an issue.
Dropping silently from above, Fu Qian walked straight up to the Stone Seat.
Feng Yunhong sat motionless on the Stone Seat, his eyes tightly shut, showing no reaction to Fu Qian's arrival.
From this distance, the wailing was distinct. He could even make out the blurry human faces on Feng Yunhong's body.
Every single face was contorted into a ferocious grimace, as if enduring immense agony.
Since Feng Yunhong didn't react, Fu Qian simply watched quietly, taking in every detail.
Given the scene and the bizarre patterns surrounding them, he could safely deduce that the Stone Seat was quite extraordinary.
It seemed Feng Yunhong relied on it to suppress the consciousnesses of the other transcendents.
Soon, Fu Qian noticed the wailing growing quieter and the faces becoming blurrier, until they disappeared beneath the skin one by one.
The effect was quite impressive!
Fu Qian shook out his hands and took a step forward.
At that exact moment, Feng Yunhong snapped his eyes open and fixed a lethal glare on him.
"What are you trying to do?"
"Hello there, Old Man Feng!"
Fu Qian showed not the slightest embarrassment at being caught red-handed, tossing out the greeting with perfect composure.
Feng Yunhong let out a cold sneer.
"Fool. Did you really think I'd lost consciousness?"
"I noticed you the moment you dropped down."
Like I wouldn't know that? Fu Qian sighed.
Based on their previous interactions, he could deduce that the man was extremely guarded.
Even if Feng Yunhong had grown worried after hearing his words and rushed to deal with the hidden dangers, he would never expose his secrets like this without some sort of backup plan.
This guy had been surviving here for several decades; his familiarity with the surroundings was beyond imagination. Fu Qian never expected to hide from him in the first place, and hadn't even tried to conceal his presence.
Staring at Fu Qian, Feng Yunhong wore a cruel smile.
"Did you think I would trust you just because of a few suspicious words? I was busy earlier, so I let you live a little longer."
"If you had attacked just now, you might have caused me some trouble. But now, only one fate awaits you."
"Just like those things from earlier, right?"
Fu Qian replied lazily.
"May I be so bold as to ask what you were doing just now?"
"You can guess."
Feng Yunhong stood straight up from the Stone Seat.
"It doesn't matter if you can't guess. You'll experience it for yourself soon enough."
He grabbed the Long Halberd beside him with one hand.
"Trust me, you'll be experiencing it for a very, very long time..."
"That doesn't sound too bad."
"You're truly courting death!"
Feng Yunhong swung the Long Halberd, its cold edge flashing. Fu Qian narrowly dodged the strike.
"You run pretty fast."
Feng Yunhong snorted and unleashed his Long Halberd, sending out an endless flurry of cold strikes.
This guy, wherever he came from, was indeed quite strong. But more importantly, he knew entirely too much.
Feng Yunhong was dead set on killing him; he absolutely could not let Fu Qian escape.
What he hadn't expected was that his opponent showed no signs of running away. Instead of retreating, Fu Qian advanced, dodging directly past the Long Halberd to engage in close-quarters combat.
Is this guy crazy?
Although a bit puzzled by Fu Qian's suicidal behavior, Feng Yunhong showed no mercy, deciding to end the battle quickly.
Feng Yunhong's halberd techniques were masterful, and combined with the gap in their cultivation realms, he firmly held the upper hand.
Soon, unable to dodge in time, Fu Qian took a bloody gash across his arm.
Just as Feng Yunhong was about to press his advantage, a flash of crimson light suddenly erupted before him.
Crack!
A long whip materialized from the void, lashing fiercely against Feng Yunhong's body.
A hidden weapon? Feng Yunhong was startled. Seeing Fu Qian empty-handed, he couldn't immediately determine the source of the attack.
Before he could figure it out, a wave of intense manic frenzy surged in his chest, filling him with the urge to tear apart everything around him.
"What is this?"
Shocked, Feng Yunhong quickly pulled back to create some distance, pointing his Long Halberd at Fu Qian.
"You're looking spirited, Old Man Feng. I figured I'd liven you up a bit more."
Fu Qian chuckled. Without stopping, he charged forward once again to engage in close combat.
From the very beginning, he had never intended to run.
At first glance, Feng Yunhong's current condition was quite good.
Under the effects of the Stone Seat, the discord within his body was almost completely suppressed. Fighting him right now was pure suicidal behavior.
But Fu Qian was absolutely certain that those twenty-six lingering heads were still there. They hadn't truly been obliterated.
If they were that easy to digest, how could Feng Yunhong have been plagued by them for decades?
He was confident that, given the right stimulus, they would become active once again.
This kind of situation was simply perfect for the Tyrant's Fist to shine.
Chi Hesheng, Luo Binhai, Shui Jing, Grimm Wood... all of you, get fired up.
What the hell is going on?!
As time passed, Feng Yunhong grew increasingly alarmed as he fought. The cold light of his Long Halberd blurred into a continuous sheet, leaving gash after gash on his opponent.
But infuriatingly, this guy's vitality was unbelievably tenacious. Despite being covered in wounds, he still hadn't fallen. Even his speed hadn't significantly decreased.
Meanwhile, Feng Yunhong had already taken over a dozen lashes to his front and back.
With every strike of the whip, the manic frenzy in his heart intensified. Now, the violent emotions had accumulated to the point where even his attacks were starting to be affected.
And that wasn't even the most terrifying part!
The consciousnesses of the transcendents, which had been firmly suppressed, were actually destabilizing.
The wails reappeared, clearly influenced by the manic frenzy, their states becoming extremely volatile.
I can't drag this out any longer!
Making his decision, Feng Yunhong let out a deafening, frenzied roar.
The massive soundwave echoed within the building, causing Fu Qian's rushing figure to falter for a moment.
Simultaneously, moving several degrees faster than before, the Long Halberd tore into Fu Qian's body.
You have your secrets, but I wasn't using my full strength earlier either.
Looking at the neck that had been sliced nearly clean through, Feng Yunhong revealed a savage smile.
However, before he could even catch his breath, a Crimson Long Whip lashed fiercely across his head, completely detonating the frenzy within his heart.
How is this possible?!
Staring at the opponent who still hadn't fallen, Feng Yunhong froze in shock.
"Don't get distracted, old man!"
A mouth grew out of the palm of Fu Qian's right hand, speaking in a mocking tone.
His original head rapidly shriveled up until only a layer of skin remained.
Trying out Feast for the first time in combat... the effects are even better than I imagined!
In a way, he practically had no vital spots left.
Quickly sprouting a new head, Fu Qian's hands didn't stop for a second; the Crimson Long Whip lashed down on Feng Yunhong like a raging storm.
Under the effects of the Tyrant's Fist, the wails surrounding the old man grew louder and louder, and even some of his body parts began to twist and distort.
"Did you think you'd already won?"
Realizing that the chaos wreaking havoc on his mind and body was past the point of no return, Feng Yunhong let out a hoarse, furious roar.
In the next moment, he actually threw aside his Long Halberd and reached out to grab Fu Qian's neck.
