Zuolun is a complete newcomer to this. With zero existing reader base, this book's performance has honestly exceeded both my expectations and my editor's. None of this would be possible without the support of every single one of you.
In fact, exactly because I am so new, I didn't realize until near the end of the first volume that I had chosen a narrative structure bordering on hellish difficulty.
The book primarily uses an episodic format, but unlike most infinite-flow novels, the deep background connections, story continuity, and overarching plot arrangements mean that a single change ripples through the entire structure. Objectively, this has definitely made it much harder to write.
But while suffering through that difficulty, I also found that this format brings a corresponding leap in enjoyment.
Fun is always the core of a story, so I ultimately believe it's worth the effort.
