Amidst the shattered iron shards and fragments filling the sky, the swiftly speeding metal swept past Bologue’s body, and just as it was about to cut him, it was deflected by the wind mass left behind by Palmer.
Bologue leapt high, eyes sharp as a hawk, aiming his Resentment Bite directly at the Seeker of Glory below.
The Seeker of Glory looked up at Bologue, raised the Giant Sword again, its speed still astonishingly fast, as if the blade had no weight.
But before he could strike down the Giant Sword again, the serpent head that had been split in half writhed, its two halves intertwining and merging once more, transforming into two serpent heads, continuing forward.
The Seeker of Glory seemed unprepared for this sight, and in the urgent situation, the pursuing Giant Sword turned sideways to cleave at the two serpent heads.
The confidentiality level of Bologue’s information was very high; the part that the All Secrets Order could grasp was also relatively superficial, which included the information about Bologue’s identity as an Undead.
Before taking part in the pursuit of Bologue, the Seeker of Glory had studied this information and naturally deduced that Bologue would surely leverage his advantage of the Undying Body, trading injury for injury.
Faced with this situation, the Seeker of Glory could only prioritize his own protection, but even with this horizontal slash, the serpent heads were split into four, and the attack’s route still wasn’t diverted.
"So troublesome!"
The Seeker of Glory let out a cold snort, swinging the Giant Sword in his hand dozens of times within seconds, the terrifying Sword Momentum creating continuous afterimages, as if every strike was delivered simultaneously.
Accordingly, in this round of deadly slashes, the serpent heads were shattered into countless fragments, but at the same time, they re-entangled, evolving into an endless swarm of serpents, surging from all directions, almost engulfing the Seeker of Glory entirely.
Just as they had mostly engulfed the Seeker of Glory, continuous explosions of metal resonated, and the metal crystals extruding out of thin air, numbering in the billions, rained down like a storm, shattering the serpent swarm in an instant.
The metal pierced through at high speed like a barrage of bullets, and at the edges of metal-on-metal collision, the heat from speed even turned them red hot, melting some of the metal directly.
The continuous sharp noise and the dense sound of collisions overlapped, amidst the dazzling sparks and horrifying molten iron color, both their domains, Secret Energy, Command objects, and Illusory Creations were completely intertwined, like snakes in a deadly knot, only killing one side can lead to release.
Two powerful Ether reactions triggered a series of effects, and the surrounding Condensers participating in the battle were all affected, not daring to approach for fear of being swept into this vortex and cut into pieces by the cold metal.
"Is this the power of the supreme?"
Some Condensers paused in place, yearningly sensing that power belonging to the Seeker of Glory, even though this power was false, it still left them thoroughly shocked.
The next second, this shock was interrupted by the sharp sound of a sword.
A gust of wind swept by, Palmer, like a bird riding the wind, brushed by several Condensers, who tried to intercept him, but Palmer was too fast, almost ghostly.
They could only watch helplessly as that phantom flitted past, leaving long, narrow wounds on their bodies.
The high-speed airflow pressed upon the wounds, causing a huge amount of blood to be squeezed out from the wounds due to the pressure difference, leaving a trail of crimson behind Palmer’s path.
Bologue held down the Seeker of Glory, leaving those remaining to be handled by Palmer. As the battle continued, Palmer adapted, as if finishing a warm-up exercise.
At this moment, Palmer became fully confident, eager to try, but soon, his expression turned bitter.
Palmer’s earlier Sound Burst Stab was highly effective, easily assassinating several enhanced Prayer Believers with absolute speed and power, effectively reducing the enemy’s numbers.
However, executing such a powerful stab is not without cost, as it notably drains the Ethereal Amount. Palmer estimated that if he used it a few more times, his Ethereal Amount would drop to the red line.
Palmer’s speed slowed down, the other Condensers noticed this, immediately seizing the opportunity to surround Palmer.
Everyone locked down Palmer’s escape routes, cornering this troublesome, acute bird to a dead end, forcing him into a direct confrontation with several others.
Palmer disliked head-on fights, promptly throwing the Dagger, which was carried by gusts of fierce wind, causing the light metal to rapidly proliferate in mid-air, transforming into a steel storm mercilessly sweeping across the battlefield.
Metal tore through rising Ethereal Barriers, scraping repeatedly between the dim factories and alleys, the dust and debris stirred up, and the gradually swelling mass exploded like bubbles, the rolling thick smoke forming a storm that obscured vision, engulfing everyone within.
Vision was blocked, but the Ethereal glow and continually emitting ripples remained. The Condensers attempted to track Palmer’s high Ethereal reaction, but suddenly found that Palmer’s once furnacelike Ethereal reaction had completely vanished.
Either Palmer was dead, or he completely severed his connection with the Ether, stopping his Secret Energy, which was tantamount to suicide.
"Track his Ethereal residue!"
One of them ordered, his Tier also being a Negative Power User.
Not far away, another person nodded, closed his eyes in contemplation; he was the Tracker of this team, and relying on his specifically specialized Secret Energy, they were able to detect Bologue and company amidst the scant Ethereal residue.
He tried to sense Palmer’s Ethereal residue, seeing those fluorescent scars in the dark vision. As he fully immersed himself in tracking the Ether, he didn’t realize the Hunter’s silent approach.
Amidst the rolling thick smoke, a silhouetted shadow gradually appeared, lowering himself to crawl on the ground, unnoticed by everyone. The Hunter felt he was close enough to his prey, and in the next moment, he leapt ferociously.
A strong sense of unease rose from the Tracker’s heart; he opened his eyes in terror, cold sweat covering his back, as if an assured fatal blow was approaching him, but when he searched around, apart from Bologue’s overwhelming Ether reaction, there was no trace of Palmer.
A sharp Rapier pierced from behind into the Tracker’s heart, ruthlessly penetrating this fragile flesh, then thrusting out through his chest.
The Tracker watched this happen wide-eyed, his gaze filled with confusion, unable to believe what was unfolding.
Ultimate Ethereal Concealment? Or...
He strained to turn his head, in the peripheral vision, the Tracker saw the faint silhouette of Palmer; he was pitch black, with no Ether reaction, only cold steel, and a return-to-essential assassination.
Oh... is this the professionalism of the Order Bureau? Smoke obscures vision, then abandoning the Ether, employing this straightforward to the point of absurd assassination method.
This sounds somewhat incredible, but indeed, it’s quite reasonable; they had been clinging to their Extraordinary Power for so long, clutching it tightly, never considering that letting go could also be effective.
Palmer’s body reignited with the glow of the Ether, the Dagger swiftly pierced through the Tracker’s throat, vigorously tearing, cleaving his entire head off.
He successfully killed this troublesome Tracker but at the cost of being completely exposed within the encirclement. Several terrifying Ether reactions abruptly surged up, various bizarre Secret Energies rushing toward Palmer.
There were flames, thunder, and strange Psychic Shock causing Palmer’s vision to double, blood gushing from his nose.
"Bologue!"
Palmer shouted, and the next moment, another rumbling echo came from above the dark Dome.
Bologue was like a wish machine; he heard Palmer’s wish and then responded, exerting all his strength to Command the material above.
Secret Energy·Summoning Country.
After a long and deep sound, Bologue forcefully tore open the Dome above his head, revealing the cracked dark sky and allowing the light from the ground to shine in unhindered.
And along with it came the crumbling earth.
