Endless Extraction in a Game-Like World
Chapter 320: The Singularity CollapseThe demon’s grin stretched wider as his burning amber eyes swept across the terrified crowd.
"We are here to take what rightfully belongs to the Demonic Faction," he announced, his voice carrying effortlessly through the hall. "That Fragment is ours."
His hooded followers spread out across the stage, their crimson symbols pulsing with dark energy as screams erupted from the auction floor.
Wealthy attendees scrambled toward the exits, pushing and shoving in blind panic.
But before the demons could move, a figure emerged from the shadows near the eastern balcony.
"You demons have finally shown yourselves to the world, How daring."
He wore traditional robes of deep blue and white, Taoist symbols embroidered along the sleeves, his long hair tied back in a simple knot.
Golden talismans floated around him in a perfect circle, each one inscribed with symbols that glowed with celestial light.
The Taoist Faction had arrived.
The demon leader turned toward him with an amused smirk, his curved horns gleaming under the flickering lights.
"Daring? Of course, we will be daring. Everyone here is going to die tonight, and we are finally going to make our move and tell the world about our existence, we came here expecting death."
"The Golden Light Guild has been on our asses since the beginning, and it’s time to retaliate."
Just then, the main doors burst open with a thunderous crash.
Dickenson charged through first, his golden aura blazing around him like a miniature sun, Commander Valeria following close behind with her spear already drawn.
Behind them marched rows of guild members from the Golden Light Guild, their weapons drawn and skills already activating as they formed battle lines.
Lunari appeared among them with holy energy swirling around her body like a protective cocoon. Chad’s guildmates spread out to flank the demons from multiple angles.
The demon leader threw his head back and laughed seeing this.
"Looks like everyone is here! That makes it more easier for us."
His gaze swept upward toward the private suites on the upper floor, and his grin widened even further.
"Even the Shinto Faction and the Taoist Faction have come to witness this moment. This is amazing!"
His laughter grew louder and more unhinged with each passing second.
"I can kill everyone here and report back to our King for rewards! Ahahaha!"
But the guild players didn’t give the guy more time to talk.
Dickenson raised his fist high into the air.
"Everyone, Attack!"
The Golden Light Guild launched a coordinated assault, dozens of skills activating simultaneously as golden projectiles and energy blades shot toward the demons.
But the attacks splashed harmlessly against invisible barriers surrounding each demon, the demonic shields absorbing everything without a scratch.
"What the hell?"
"Our attacks aren’t working at all!"
"They seem to have anti-mana barrier with demonic energy, normal attacks or skills won’t work." Commander Valeria of the Golden Light Guild spoke with a grim look on her face.
Hearing this, Lunari bravely stepped forward.
Holy light gathered at the center of her left palm as an energy beam made out of holy power shot towards the nearest demon.
The attack directly pierced the shield and removed it completely from that nearest demon.
Everyone was elated seeing this.
Holy power works against these beings!
However, seeing this, the leader’s eye instantly turned cold.
He raised one hand toward Lunari as he activated a skill.
[Skill Activated: Demonic Telekinesis]
An invisible force slammed into Lunari with tremendous power, launching her backward through the air like a ragdoll.
She crashed through three rows of seats before hitting the far wall with a sickening thud.
"Miss Lunari!" Dickenson shouted as he rushed toward her fallen form.
Up in the Alisson VIP Room, Raymond’s face had gone completely pale as he watched the chaos unfold below.
"This is bad," he muttered while gripping the armrest of his chair. "It’s no longer safe here for any of us."
He turned to his bodyguards, all of whom radiated Master Rank power and stood ready for combat.
"Protect Freya at all costs, and we need to leave this place immediately."
He looked at Caelus with urgent eyes.
"Let’s get out of here right now."
But Caelus wasn’t moving at all.
He stood completely still by the window, staring down at the demons with eyes that had grown distant and cold. His body remained rigid, his breathing shallow.
Just then, his vision flickered violently.
The auction house vanished from his sight completely.
In its place, he saw a world of death that stretched beyond comprehension.
Endless corpses covered a barren landscape, piled so high they formed mountains that touched the burning sky. The air itself reeked of decay and suffering.
Standing atop the bodies was a demon wearing a crown of bone.
It smiled with pure cruelty as rivers of blood flowed around its feet.
It looked directly at him.
Caelus’s chest tightened as rage unlike anything he had ever felt erupted from the deepest part of his soul.
The Origin of the Ender pulsed violently within him, responding to the demonic presence with overwhelming hostility that demanded release.
His killing intent exploded outward like a shockwave.
Freya stumbled backward with her eyes wide in shock, her body trembling involuntarily.
"What happened, Caelus?" Sylvia was concerned and surprised.
Raymond’s bodyguards instinctively reached for their weapons, their survival instincts screaming warnings.
"Big Brother Origin?" Freya called out.
Then before anyone could speak further, Caelus launched himself through the window.
Glass shattered around him as he descended toward the auction floor.
Caelus then raised one hand as he fell.
[Skill Activated: Singularity Collapse]
A gravitational singularity formed directly above the auction stage, warping reality itself as it began pulling everything toward its crushing center.
The demon leader’s eyes widened.
"What is tha-"
BOOM!
The entire auction house shuddered violently as the world bent inward toward the singularity.
The stage collapsed into splinters, the walls cracked from foundation to ceiling, and the roof began to cave under the gravitational stress.
Stone, metal, and glass were ripped from their foundations, spiraling into the crushing void like leaves caught in a hurricane.
The World Fragment’s containment field flickered but held out in the end. Hence, it was safe.
But that wasn’t all.
The Ancient Dragon God erupted into existence behind Caelus.
Golden light exploded outward as a massive draconic silhouette materialized, its form towering over the ruined hall like a god descending upon mortals.
Everyone froze in place at the sight of the Fighting spirit.
They all recognized it.
"Caelus Kross?"
