[The Ender of Fate was magnanimous.]

[He believed in the rights of all beings.]

[He believed that power should not determine destiny.]

[He believed that everyone deserved a chance to ascend.]

The inscriptions painted a picture of a being unlike any Ender Caelus had heard of before.

[This place was once known as the Middle Realm.]

[It served as the barrier between the Lower Realm and the Upper Realm.]

[For countless eons, war ravaged this space.]

[Factions fought endlessly for the right to ascend.]

[The strong trampled the weak.]

[The weak perished without hope.]

[Blood soaked the void between worlds.]

[Corpses of saints and mortals alike drifted through the endless darkness.]

Caelus’s expression grew more serious as he continued reading.

[Then the Ender of Fate descended.]

[He was not alone.]

[Two servants accompanied him.]

[The Star King and the Star Queen.]

[Together, they possessed power beyond comprehension.]

[The Ender of Fate wielded some Authority over the Axiom of Origin at that time.]

[With this authority, he reshaped the Middle Realm entirely.]

[He created the Path to Worlds.]

The inscriptions described the transformation in vivid detail.

[The endless battlefield became a structured path.]

[The chaos of war became the order of trials.]

[The strong could no longer simply crush the weak.]

[Instead, all beings were given equal opportunity.]

[Merit determined ascension.]

[Combat Score determined strength.]

[The Path to Worlds gave everyone a chance.]

[Rich or poor, noble or common, all stood on equal ground.]

[This was the gift of the Ender of Fate.]

[This was his legacy.]

Caelus frowned deeply as he finished reading this section.

Weren’t all Enders supposed to be greedy for power?

Every Ender he had learned about sought to dominate and control.

How come this Ender of Fate was helping others instead?

It didn’t make sense.

"Hubby, what does it say?" Sylvia asked from beside him.

"This place was created by the Ender of Fate." Caelus explained. "He made the Path to Worlds to give everyone an equal chance to ascend."

"An Ender who helped people?" Sylvia raised an eyebrow. "That’s unusual."

"Very unusual."

To think he would find information related to the third ender here.

He now had information about the Ender Of Death, Ender Of Life and Ender Of Fate.

But this was the place he never expected to find this information on.

Caelus’s mind raced with questions.

"So the Star King talent, is it related to the actual Star King?"

He thought about the talent he had acquired back in the Abyss.

It had been incredibly powerful, one of his strongest abilities.

"And is there a Star Queen talent?"

As that thought crossed his mind, their vision suddenly blurred.

Golden light engulfed them once more.

When their sight cleared, they found themselves in a completely different location. This place was even more ancient than the previous temple. The walls were made of pure starlight, shimmering with cosmic energy.

In the center of the room, two massive stars floated in the void. One burned with golden fire, radiating overwhelming power. The other glowed with silver light, emanating elegant grace.

The two stars revolved around each other in perfect harmony. Their dance created waves of energy that washed over Caelus and Sylvia.

[Ding!]

[You have entered the Inheritance Ground of the Star King and Star Queen.]

[Detecting compatibility...]

[You’ve successfully passed the Trial of Bonds with a 100/100 Score and Met the requirement]

[Caelus Kross: Star King Talent detected. Inheritance partially claimed.]

[Sylvia Reign: No existing Star Talent detected. Full inheritance available.]

The silver star suddenly pulsed with blinding light. A beam of energy shot toward Sylvia and entered her body.

"Ah!"

She gasped as the power flooded into her.

[Ding!]

[Sylvia Reign has received the Star Queen Talent (Upper S-Rank)!]

[This talent grants dominion over stellar energy and cosmic authority.]

[Abilities will unlock as the inheritance assimilates.]

The golden star pulsed as well, but its energy didn’t shoot toward Caelus.

Instead, a different notification appeared.

[Caelus Kross already possesses the Star King Talent.]

[Duplicate inheritance cannot be granted.]

[Alternative reward being calculated...]

Both stars began spinning faster around each other.

The energy they released intensified dramatically.

[Ding!]

[Special Inheritance Detected!]

[Both Star King and Star Queen are present in the same location.]

[Unlocking the Path to Emperor-Rank Combat Score!]

[Warning: This inheritance cannot be claimed instantly.]

[The power must slowly assimilate with your bodies.]

[Instant absorption will result in death.]

[Estimated assimilation time: 30 days.]

Ancient energy began flowing into both of their bodies.

Caelus could feel the energy merging with his cells one by one.

His combat score began fluctuating wildly.

[Combat Score: 195.25 → 196.12 → 195.89 → 197.34...]

The numbers jumped up and down erratically as the inheritance settled.

Sylvia experienced the same phenomenon.

[Combat Score: 190.47 → 191.23 → 190.98 → 192.15...]

Their auras became increasingly terrifying with each passing moment.

The temple itself began reacting to their existence.

The walls trembled and the starlight flickered.

Cracks appeared in the ancient stone as their combined presence overwhelmed the structure.

"This power..." Sylvia breathed heavily. "It’s incredible."

"If we complete this inheritance, we’ll reach Emperor-Rank." Caelus said with awe.

That made sense now.

Sylvia’s Star Queen talent was similar to his Star King talent, but fundamentally different.

They needed to examine the abilities carefully after all this was over.

For now, they simply let the inheritance continue its work.

Far away from the temple, a group of hunters gathered in the Path to Worlds.

Duke Harlan of the Iron Bastion stood at the front, his massive armor gleaming under the starlight.

Behind him were dozens of elite warriors from the noble clans of Vanswara.

"Any sign of them?" Duke Harlan demanded.

A scout rushed forward and knelt before him.

"My Lord, we’ve traced their movements to this region." The scout reported. "They entered a zone containing an ancient temple."

Lord Vexian of the Serpent Clan came forward with anticipation.

"Perfect, they’ve trapped themselves."

Lady Morwen of the Raven Clan nodded coldly.

"The temple has only one entrance." She observed. "They cannot escape."

The hunters gathered outside the zone, their numbers growing by the minute.

Rumors had already spread about Caelus and Sylvia becoming too powerful.

Some wanted revenge for Lord Aquila’s death.

Others wanted the merits they had acquired.

Others simply wanted to eliminate them before they became impossible to deal with.

"How many are we now?" Duke Harlan asked.

"Three hundred and forty-seven." A lieutenant answered. "More are arriving every hour."

Lord Vexian laughed with cruel satisfaction.

"Three hundred against two, those odds please me greatly."

"They killed Lord Aquila." Lady Morwen reminded them. "We should not underestimate them."

"Lord Aquila was a fool who fought alone." Duke Harlan dismissed her concern. "We have numbers, we have coordination, we have overwhelming force."

The hunters set up camp outside the temple zone.

They posted guards at every possible exit point.

They prepared ambushes and traps.

They discussed strategies and formations.

"They can’t remain inside forever." One captain said confidently.

"Once they come out, kill them immediately." Another added.

"Don’t give them time to react. Aim for the head first."

The hunters grew more arrogant as time passed.

They believed Caelus and Sylvia were hiding inside, too afraid to face them.

The hunters laughed and continued their discussions.

Hours passed and then an entire day

The hunters grew restless but remained patient.

"Any movement?" Duke Harlan asked on the third day.

"None, my Lord." The scout reported. "They haven’t left the temple."

"Perhaps they died inside." Lord Vexian suggested.

"Or perhaps they’re waiting for us to leave." Lady Morwen countered.

"We will wait." Duke Harlan decided. "However long it takes."

Then, something changed.

The temple began to glow with brilliant golden and silver light.

The hunters immediately went on high alert.

"What’s happening?!"

"The temple is activating!"

"Prepare for combat!"

Weapons were drawn and formations were assumed.

Every hunter faced the temple entrance with deadly intent.

Light spilled out from within, so bright it was almost blinding and two silhouettes appeared in the doorway.

The light soon faded and Caelus and Sylvia calmly walked out of the temple.
