Endless Extraction in a Game-Like World
Chapter 404: Finding The Ender and A Special AwakeningHearing this, Caelus nodded.
"That was me."
Glaciana studied him carefully.
"Did you obtain some kind of inheritance? A legacy from an ancient being?"
Hearing her question, Caelus didn’t give her a proper answer.
Instead, he said, "Are you going to help me or not? If you’re unwilling, I don’t want to waste any more time."
His voice was calm but firm.
"My priority is finding Sylvia."
Hearing this, Glaciana and Aldric exchanged a glance.
After a moment of silent communication, they both nodded.
"We’ll help you," Glaciana said.
Immediately after, Aldric stepped forward.
"Consider it a favor for giving us the Hollow Beast."
Hearing this, Caelus raised an eyebrow.
The Hollow Beast remained a mystery to him, and he still didn’t understand why they had wanted it so badly.
However, that conversation could wait until after he found Sylvia.
"Thank you."
With that, Glaciana immediately began issuing orders.
"Deploy search teams throughout the accessible regions. Look for any traces of the Ender of Death."
Hearing this, Aldric nodded and left to coordinate his own forces.
Soon afterward, the two Overlords mobilized their armies across the Darkening Vault, searching every corner where they could safely operate.
There were regions beyond Overlord Rank that they couldn’t enter, places where even more powerful beings dwelled. But everywhere else, their forces were practically invincible.
After all, Overlord Rank was not easily achieved in this world.
The Origin Ascension Domain created an environment where the strong continued becoming stronger while the weak fell further behind. Those who possessed power could conquer valuable nodes, gain enormous amounts of Origin Energy, and use those resources to increase their strength even further.
As a result, the cycle favored those already at the top.
Hours passed as the search continued.
Meanwhile, Caelus waited impatiently, his mind constantly returning to Sylvia.
Finally, Glaciana contacted him through a communication device.
"We found something."
Hearing this, Caelus’s expression immediately sharpened.
"Where?"
"A settlement hidden inside a forest. Several people reported seeing someone matching the description moving through the area."
Immediately after, she sent him the coordinates.
"Be careful. This is only a possible location."
Hearing this, Caelus memorized the coordinates instantly.
"Thank you for helping me. I’ll handle the rest myself."
However, before he could leave, both Glaciana and Aldric stopped him.
"Wait," Aldric said firmly.
Immediately after, Glaciana stepped closer, her expression serious.
"You need to calm down. The person you’re about to confront is an Ender of Death."
Hearing this, Aldric nodded in agreement.
"Enders are not opponents who can simply be defeated because someone possesses overwhelming power. They are fundamentally different from ordinary powerful beings."
As he continued speaking, his voice became heavier.
"We’re genuinely shocked that an Ender of Death is present in this world at all. We knew the Enders had been reborn, but discovering one here is still an extraordinary event."
After hearing this, Glaciana continued where he left off.
"Even we cannot guarantee that we could defeat the Ender of Death. There is a possibility that she could overpower both of us."
With that, her icy eyes locked onto Caelus.
"Enders should not be underestimated under any circumstances."
Caelus listened to their warning.
Then, after hearing everything they had to say, he simply said, "I know what I’m doing."
With that, he left the palace and shot into the sky.
WHOOSH!
Immediately afterward, he flew at maximum speed toward the forest where the Ender of Death was last seen.
As he flew, the landscape blurred beneath him as he crossed vast distances in moments.
Eventually, he reached the edge of a massive forest.
Seeing the forest ahead, Caelus noticed that darkness filled the space between the ancient trees, and the air itself felt heavier here.
Caelus landed at the forest’s edge and looked into the shadows ahead.
As he stood there, he could sense something within, something powerful lurking in the depths.
Without hesitation, Caelus called out loudly.
"Ender of Death. Come out."
At his words, there was no reply.
The forest remained completely silent, but Caelus was certain that the Ender of Death was somewhere nearby. She was deliberately hiding herself, but Caelus was no longer the same person who had just entered the Tier 2 World with his meager Emperor Rank sterngth.
After reaching the Overlord Rank, the range of his Prime Mind Manipulation had increased dramatically. He immediately activated the ability, spreading his mental perception throughout the surrounding area.
His perception allowed him to see and sense anything within its range, effectively turning his mind into an enormous detection field where he can also apply the powers of the Prime Mind Manipulation of. Not only that, with everything within his range clearly perceived, he could manipulate objects without relying on his ordinary senses.
Soon, Caelus detected something unusual deeper within the forest.
Hidden among the trees was a small, seemingly ordinary house.
His mental perception immediately pierced through the structure, revealing two familiar presences inside.
The moment he saw what was happening, his expression changed.
Inside the house, the Ender of Death was clutching her head as though she were suffering from intense pain. Beside her stood Sylvia, watching her with a complicated expression.
Seeing Sylvia alive should have relieved Caelus.
Instead, the sight of the Ender of Death standing beside her, after everything she had done, caused an intense wave of anger to surge through him.
Caelus immediately became furious.
His power erupted violently.
The surrounding space trembled as his aura crashed outward, while his Ender of Origin Power began fluctuating wildly around his body. His eyes locked onto the small house as he shouted once again, his voice carrying throughout the entire forest.
"Ender of Death, you will pay for what you have done."
The moment those words left his mouth, his Ender of Origin Power became even more violent.
The energy surrounding his body surged uncontrollably, as though something deep within his very existence had been awakened by his overwhelming anger.
Then, suddenly...
[Ding!]
[Your Ender of Origin Power is evolving.]
