A little bun made its call before swinging down from a tree branch using a vine.

Once everyone was armed with a brittle vial, the little bun led the charge and targeted the nearest monster.

Soon, roars of anger, frustration, and fear reverberated in the forest. The monsters who suddenly found themselves being ambushed by a little bun and its monster army had no choice but to flee.

No one was safe from Dim Dim’s arsenal of brittle vials, which were composed of powdered black peppers, chili powder, onion powder, and other ingredients that had strong scents and flavors.

The monkeys made cheering sounds because they felt invincible.

Even the strong monsters that treated them as prey could only run away in fear the moment they unleashed the deadly vials in their direction.

"Ahem!" Dim Dim raised its body proudly as the monkeys showered it with praises.

After traveling for nearly an hour, the Dim Sum God and its entourage of monkeys arrived at a clearing.

There, the little bun saw two of its friends, making it call out to them in excitement.

"Dim Dim!" Dim Dim shouted before landing gracefully on top of Renard’s head, doing a dabbing pose.

The corner of the young man’s lips twitched at the sight. He had often seen Dim Dim perch on top of the heads of others. However, it never dared to land on its head even once.

Only after realizing what it had done did Dim Dim hurriedly jump off Renard’s head and into Vaan’s embrace.

Vaan chuckled. The scene he saw was so amusing that he wished he could save it as a portrait for everyone in their club to see.

Dim Dim landing on Renard’s head and doing a dabbing pose would definitely make Alex and Chuck laugh out loud if they had seen it.

The little bun was so happy seeing familiar faces that it forgot that Renard wasn’t one of its besties.

Renard glared at Dim Dim, which made the latter bury its face into Vaan’s chest, as if it was afraid that the scary man was about to nag at it.

"Now now. Don’t scare Dim Dim too much, Renard," Vaan said with a smile. "It’s just happy that it saw us. Isn’t that right, Dim Dim?"

"Dim!" Dim Dim nodded.

"See?" Vaan smiled before asking the little bun a question. "Since you are here, then does that mean Alex is also nearby?"

Dim Dim shook its head. "Dim!"

"You got separated from him after entering the Hermit’s Trial?"

"Dim!"

"I see. But do you know where he is?"

"Dim Dim!"

After hearing Dim Dim’s positive reply, Vaan was finally able to let out a sigh of relief.

"Can you take us to him?" Renard asked, doing his best to keep the irritation in his voice from showing.

"Dim!" Dim Dim made a salute, as if accepting a difficult mission.

The monkeys that were following Dim Dim earlier scattered in every direction. Their instincts told them to run. And they were right.

Renard and Vaan took a fighting stance.

In the meantime, Dim Dim crawled on top of Vaan’s head and also prepared itself to fight.

Soon, at the center of the clearing where they stood, a crack in space appeared.

And from there, a familiar face emerged.

"Now this is a surprise."

Renard and Vaan stared at the person who had appeared in front of them.

It was none other than Reverse Vaan, who looked to be in his mid-twenties.

Currently, he was wearing white clothes befitting that of a prince, which looked incredibly good on him.

"So, Alex was right." Renard glanced at Vaan. "You really are a man, huh? I didn’t want to admit it since you are quite convincing as a girl."

"Thank you for the praise," Vaan replied, his attention still focused on the mature version of him.

The funny thing was that even the mature version of Vaan looked feminine. The only reason why Renard deemed him a guy was that he was wearing pants. And well... there was something else that proved he was a guy.

Reverse Vaan chuckled as if finding the exchange between the two teenagers quite amusing.

"Well then. Since I’m already here, how about I play with the two of you for a bit?" Reverse Vaan summoned a whip and held it firmly in his hands. "I’m going to be honest. I am looking forward to whipping you, Renard. The Renard in our world is a nerd who can’t even hurt an ant.

"The only thing he had going on at that side was his two wives, Celestria and Melissa. If not for them, he would have already died long ago. So, make sure to treat your future wives well, okay?"

"...Wait. Lady Celestria and Melissa are going to become his wives?" Vaan asked in shock.

"Oh dear..." Vaan placed a hand over his cheek, as if troubled by something. "Oops. I shouldn’t have given you guys a spoiler. Oh well. I’ll just beat you guys until you get short-term memory loss."

"Hey, how can you beat me up?" Vaan complained. "Aren’t you worried you might ruin my body?"

Reverse Vaan blinked at those words. "You have a point. I guess the only one who will get a beating is Renard, then."

"You can try," Renard replied fearlessly. "Let’s see if you really have what it takes to beat me up."

Reverse Vaan smirked. "Gladly."

He had a different purpose for crossing over to Arcana. But since he found some interesting people in his immediate surroundings, Reverse Vaan decided to play for a while before completing the mission Reverse Alex had assigned to him.
