ENERGI: THE PRIMORDIAL CONDUIT[OP MC, APOCALYPSE, SURVIVAL, AND LITRPG]
CHAPTER 113: EXCHANGEIf Kael was alive right now, he would have been deeply shocked to see the message flashing before him, despite his many conjectures.
[So annoying!]
There was a pause before another message appeared.
[Must you remember her?]
There was something that seemed like a sigh, and then a series of monumental actions took place.
Firstly, Kael's blood and remains were brought together by a mysterious force, and then a spatial ring appeared before them. There was a small tug before two objects appeared.
One was a slender scepter crafted from radiant silver-white metal, its shaft etched with countless glowing runes, while a floating sapphire hovered at its crown, constantly releasing wisps of azure mana, and the second was a pendant with the head of an intricate-looking shield, its polished surface engraved with ancient protective runes.
These two items were Kael's rewards for awakening his first Will, and for being the first on the blue planet to awaken two Wills.
Yet, Kael had never bothered to use them, the reason being...

__________
Kael had left the pendant, which was his reward for awakening his first Will, to be used as a trump card. Even when he had been ambushed by Ben, he hadn't deigned to waste such a treasure on the duo. Who knew when his life might be in peril from facing an overwhelmingly powerful enemy?
As for the scepter, Kael subconsciously ignored it's existence. Just the thought of it had made him almost curse the system on the spot.
A mysterious force grabbed the two items, and in the next instant, they both disappeared.
____________
On a mountain of skulls under a red sky, clusters of tiny worms formed a writhing heap. And within their embrace was a young girl with shoulder-length dark hair and hazel eyes.
Unfortunately, her beautiful eyes, usually filled with a stubborn light of survival, were now two empty chasms through which clusters of worms flooded into her body. They slithered into her ears and plunged down her outstretched mouth, opened in a muffled scream.
It was amidst this horrifying scene that two items appeared above the sky. Yet, no one seemed able to sense them, including the mysterious being who had chosen Rachel.
There was another tug that came from a fathomless depth, and soon after, an item flew out from Rachel, bypassed the heaps of worms, and soared into the air.
The object was a crystalline heart. This was the item Rachel had received as the first on the blue planet to awaken her Will, and its description was a series of ???, which was why the young girl and even the mysterious being had no clue what it was or how to utilize it.
But now that it had been summoned by the system, its true description came into being.
_______________
[Item Name: Heart of Reincarnation]
Rank: Legendary
Type: Consumable

A legendary treasure born from the Authority of Life itself. Even death cannot claim one protected by its blessing... once.
Effect:
• Grants the owner one additional life.
• Upon death, the user's body, soul, and consciousness are instantly restored to their peak condition.
• Consumed immediately after activation.
Use: 1/1
____________
Despite both objects being of the Legendary rank, Rachel's item was of a far higher tier than the scepter Kael received, despite its limited uses.
The mysterious force wrapping around the scepter and pendant suddenly sent the two items flying downward, and with a flash, they disappeared into Rachel, none the wiser.
At least, that was how it was supposed to be.
Just when the floating heart above was about to disappear from this space, an ancient voice only the system could hear suddenly reverberated across reality.
<< That is not fair to my child, is it? >>
The distortion appearing around the heart suddenly rippled away, and an uncomfortable silence suddenly ensued.
[Impossible! How do you exist?]
The new voice ignored the question thrown at them, as it continued:
<< It is not possible for you to bend your rules, but don't you think the exchange is still not balanced yet? >>
There was a pause before a reply came.
[The other one is your child too.]
<< That is only half true. >>
[...Very well.]
Just like that, the two presence disappeared like they were never there.
