ENERGI: THE PRIMORDIAL CONDUIT[OP MC, APOCALYPSE, SURVIVAL, AND LITRPG]
CHAPTER 45: LEGENDARIES- Ba-dump!
- Ba-dump!
- Ba-dump!
Elena took a deep breath as she filtered the noise filling her senses. She found herself taking some time to meditate to control these powers she had awakened not long ago.
She could hear the erratic beating of several hearts clearly, with a few sounding calm, and she almost lost herself to the cadence of their breaths.
- Haa!
She released the air she had been holding before opening her closed eyes. She watched as her fellow students spoke among themselves, some whispering their fears, and others offering words of consolation. Principal Martin moved around them, asking each and every one of them about their welfare, and offering soothing words with that gentle and amicable smile of his.
Her eyes moved past them before falling on one of the few teachers present in the cramped room.
Teacher Daniel.
A look of disgust flashed within her cold golden eyes as her thoughts stirred.
'All men are the same, disgusting creatures. They can only think with their base desires.'
Her hands tightened as memories surfaced, ones she wished she could forget, yet remained stuck with her.
Shaking her head slightly, her thoughts suddenly drifted down a dangerous path.
'Should I kill him?'
She could still remember what the principal had told her. About how she shouldn't get the blood of a fellow human on her hands, especially when they needed to work together to survive against the other monsters brought by the system.
'But I finally have the strength to act on my wishes. To get my revenge.' Her eyes erupted with killing intent as many faces flashed within her mind.
Her father.
Her mother.
All those people who had hurt her...
She would kill them all.
And she didn't mind adding one more to the list.
'Let's give him one more chance. If I notice him doing anything unruly again, I won't hesitate to rip his head off his neck.'
Unwilling to blemish her eyes with that disgusting face, she focused her gaze on her status screen once more, as she thought of more ways to maximize her strength.
None of those in the room knew that there was a monster standing amongst them---one that, if she let loose, might be no less terrifying than the horrors they feared.

Seeing her status always gave her hope for revenge.
She had started with 8 points in her Mind stat and 10 points in her Mana. After thinking about it and seeing the full potential of her talent, she decided to split all her free attribute points, a total of 36, evenly between her Mind and Mana stats, making her weak in her other stats. The additional points in brackets were stats granted to her by her talent. It seemed the more she excavated her talent's potential, the greater the boost she would receive. Only, her stats were completely skewed.
'But it is worth it. There is no need for strength and agility if my enemies can't even come close to me. Though, I will need to shore up my Vitality. More health and defenses are needed in case of emergency.'
With this strength of hers, she had been able to kill a monster that was more than twice her level---a level 18 Common zombie---on her own, without any assistance from her team. Of course, she had more kills under her belt, but it seemed the system only counted kills performed solo when distributing achievement points.
She was suddenly pulled out of her thoughts when Principal Martin's voice resounded within the room, hushing the whispers of the others.
"We don't know why those zombies suddenly disappeared. But that was what allowed us to meet up in the first place. We need to make more use of this opportunity to scavenge for food and water. Many of us are only surviving on the bread the system granted, which is not good. On another hand, finding more survivors will help us greatly in bolstering our strength."
Many voiced their agreement, with several more nodding, a light of hope flickering within their bleak eyes---one Elena watched without any expression.
"For this, I have decided to move out with as few people as possible. Discretion will be our aim. Elena, Mr. Daniel, and I will embark on this journey, while the rest will stay together. There should be no danger, and we won't stay out long." The end of his speech soothed the emotions of fear and panic about to erupt within the huge classroom when the others noticed that all their Epic-ranked fighters would be leaving them behind.
That was right!
Elena's eyes focused above the head of this old man, the only male whose presence she could barely stand. After all, the principal knew her history and had watched over her these past years.
Suddenly, Elena's attention was grabbed by another male teacher within the room, this one younger than the others. She had long noticed the man was close to Daniel, which was why she hadn't spared him much thought.
But now, she watched him suddenly move to Daniel's side before whispering. Her curiosity piqued, she activated Resonance Perception and expertly filtered through the noise before focusing on the one she needed.
"Hey, big brother. I forgot to tell you something."
"What?" Daniel asked his junior brother, Ben, in mild annoyance. He was angry that the principal had not even consulted him before making his decision.
"I met a small group of survivors yesterday."
Daniel raised one of his brows. It was great that there were more human survivors, but why should he care? However, Ben's next words made his breath hitch, and his eyes widen.
"One of them was a little girl who had a legendary class. She could control many of those undead, and she seemed very powerful. Also..."
'There is more?' Daniel thought in shock as he watched his brother intently.
Ben hesitated for a moment before voicing out his thoughts. "There was another boy, this one much older, probably already in high school. He had no status above him, yet he was so powerful and different at the same time."
Daniel's pupils shrank the more he listened to his brother speak. He quickly urged him on, throwing out many questions.
On the other side of the classroom, Elena's usually cold eyes widened in clear shock.
'There is another legendary like me?'
